I've gotta say... its been almost a month and I'm still sticking with Scoundrel with Buriza. I recently bought him rings and amulet with AS just to increase the rate he freezes enemies.
Thanks for the info, everyone! I found an entry-level Manticore on the AH (992 DPS, 191 Dex, 79 Vit, 10 IAS, 75 Crit Dmg, 1 Slot) and it was definitely an improvement for me! Hopefully it'll tide me over for a while...
Quick Update: I've been running with the Scoundrel / Buriza combo and so far I like it a lot. The slow comes in awfully handy! I honestly never put much thought into what affixes my follower's weapons had.
Depends on playstyle i'd say..
Xbow with dex and crit is my choice, and it's working perfect...
My play style is to kite with Cluster Arrows. And mostly I was curious about the Legendary Weapons. Manticore and Windforce are 2 names I've been seeing a lot of lately
I've been using the Scoundrel with Windforce for a long time but then I got a tip about equiping him with Buriza-Do Kyanon and alot of attack speed items which in the end was a really nice combo compaired to the Windforce. Sure the WF knockbacks alot but with the BDK and a high pierce chance (80% is max) everything the Scoundrel hit's gets slowed thanks to the cold damge and almost every time it pierces the target which ends up with alot of slowed mobs. And every now and then he freezes mobs which is pretty darn nice.
Sure the follower will not do any damage (mine is like 300 dps or something) but in the end having mobs almost slowed all the time compaired to 3500 dps is way more better if you ask me.
I think I'm going to give the Buriza a shot (pun intended)

Right now I'm sporting a X-Bow with 1165 dps and 256 dex.
With that weapon my overall Dex is at 2000 and my DPS is 58,000.
