posted a message on OMG, GR 128 in 10 mins, crazy combo.

It's an exploit. It will be fixed (if Blizzard doesn't fix this, people will be clearing GR150 by the end of this week, which "breaks the game"). Expect those people to be banned, or at least major rollbacks to rid everyone of the excessive paragon/gem levels gained.

You're not supposed to one-shot rift guardians like that, this has nothing to do anymore with clever game mechanics. Remember the Hellfire amulet bug, the blood shard exploit, Death's Bargain exploit? It was fixed and accounts were sanctioned.

    Don't use this.

posted a message on What do you think about the new Challenge Rifts mode?

So... I came back from travel and started a bit late, and the time was already around 2 minutes for the top spots. I have no idea how you get there. And with such a flawed class/skill set which is even worse than the "play your way", I had no desire to do more than 2-3 runs (and could immediately tell that even with 100 runs I wouldn't beat Wudijo's current #1, not even sure I could get into top 100).

I hope that some of the winners share videos (and/or some of the thought process) that got them to the top spot, because I feel I totally missed something. It's obvious though that CRs are a playing ground in which the usual "gear, paragon, RNG" cop-out doesn't count anymore: #1 in a CR week simply means you're a better player (I find it ridiculous that many people still believe there's no room for "skill" in this game; CRs can disprove that).

For me personally CRs will probably just be a weekly income of bounty mats (and also some nice crafting mats). I hate bounties, so that's a nice bonus. I don't think I'm gonna try to be competitive, ever, unless there's a really fun build out for a week. I noticed there's 2p/3p/4p leaderboards as well; I wished they would choose real 2p/3p/4p groups here. As someone said, it might be fun to have the top clear as CR, which would show people that clearing that GR125 is not just about gear, paragon, and RNG... but that it actually requires a ton of skill, coordination, and game knowledge.

    Quote from RealGsussgo-next

Now they just have to fix the interface. Having to click those 2/3 top buttons to open this page of 5 stash tabs is just plain annoying and useless. Instead all stash tabs should be aside the stash...

    like that

Yup. Not saying your solution is perfect - it still looks a bit clumsy to me, especially once you consider a 4th and 5th row - but better than the current implementation. It's such a mess, and the biggest piece of evidence that there is no interface design expert in the D3 team (or his/her input is dismissed).

Did anyone take screenshots on the private PTR so the tracker can be updated for S11?

That's a good question. Thanks for asking it. I'm currently travelling but as of next week would like to update it, if I have the data. Never had beta access myself :(

posted a message on HOTS event with D3 reward

@thundergod90 and @MugsyAU: Thanks!!! Just logged it, started a game, and it worked.

It took about 3-4 weeks or so. I got to HotS level 12 in the first week of May, played a bit of D3 at the end of May and never got it, but today when I logged in and just started a game (not even on a new character) I got the popup. Yay! Finally. Thanks for making me check again ;-)

put the game on begginer AI mode. i dont think anyone has ever lost against this. say you are 3 friends playing together, trust me, even by doing nothing the other 2 guys WILL carry you succesfully even if they are not pros.

now if you want to contribute to the game, group up and start pushing one lane. focus on that one lane until you get to the core. and then focus on objectives or getting the boss to help you. thats basically it and you are done.

as for which characters to take, valla is crazy strong and simple, just buff her auto attack talents and she will kill heroes and minion waves in seconds. azmodan is very good at dealing damage to structures and minions, buff his beam talents for safe/max damage against towers. and my personal favorite, sonya. take seismic slam talents and WOTB heroic and just stomp everything. xul/nazeebo are also very strong.

avoid tanks and supports against AI. the only defense you need is your minion waves, while those are alive towers shoot at them first before targeting you. core does aoe damage to all of you near it though so you cant just go at it alone, azmodan with max beam talents candamage it with beam without taking damage since you out range it.

    hope that helps, happy grinding.

Thanks, that did indeed help, Just a follow-up to Azmodan (who's my favorite) and you saying "you don't need support": Without support we feel like we lost a lot of health and have to fall back (or even hearth and heal) which always costs a minute or so. Not good if you want to keep games short. Also, high-level abilities - such as Azmodan's heal - are useful but best case you don't even reach those high-level endgame levels... if you get those 3-5 minute wins that people keep talking about (but I've yet to see).

posted a message on Dear Demon Hunters,

I fail to see the constructive tone in OP's thread. It was also posted in the wrong forum. Some people see a reason for a civil discussion to be had... if so, please make a new thread with a constructive opening post in the correct forum (DH). But we're not a tabloid that rewards clickbait/rant threads like this one.

    Locked.

posted a message on I think that's it for S10

    1) The gap between solo and group still exists, I won't deny that. But if you absolutely *can't find your gear* in solo play then it's not like group play will all of the sudden fix everything. You're either extremely unlucky (can happen in group as well; I didn't get an In-Geom in S8 until paragon 650, nor anyone in my group, so that season was terrible for me). Or you just set yourself too high goals (I don't have an ancient Andariel's with cold yet for my LoN WD, but that's also like complaining that I haven't won the lottery yet). Or you're just really inefficient. (There are tons of people who finish the entire season journey completely solo in under 30 hours playtime, by the way.)

    2) The only real lag in the game is caused by too much net calculations (e.g., area damage + many effects on many mobs + too many mobs that are alive for a long time). Basically, Hammerdin lags the game out (in 3 player on GR85+), and a bit later the FB WD. Which is why everyone is so happy about the LoN WD. The game has no inherent lag problem, *especially* not for solo players. Are you a HC player in a group with some suicidal hammerdins that click on a shield pylon in the middle of 100 mobs on GR80? Yep, you're dead. That's a fair complaint about bad game implementation and a death that shouldn't happen. But as a solo player who probably isn't even pushing the limits yet (you say yourself you have been unlucky with gear) it sounds like it's 99.9999% something on your side (PC issues, ISP issues, etc).

    3) All those client issues etc that you mention sound exactly like what people have when switching to the 64 bit client. I had occasional lags as well, really annoying. Switched to 32 bit and now I'm happily multiboxing on 4 accounts, all on full HD resolution, with no lag at all. On a 6 year old gaming rig. Also, a busy internet connection in the background sounds like your B.Net client is uploading/downloading some stuff. I think you can turn that off.

I can emphasize with honest complaints. Sorry if my reply sounds a bit harsh, but it just sounds like "let's make a thread and rant about this crap game" when actually I see issues like yours being resolved on an almost daily basis in Blizzard tech support forum. Ask for help, and you'll be fine. Millions of people play this game without issues and lag, this is not some kind of early access Steam beta. Are there issues? Yep. But it sounds like yours can easily be solved if you contact support.

Edit: Thread locked due to unacceptable behavior of OP. Take a break and re-think your actions before you come back, please. And in the meantime I can only re-emphasize: contact Blizzard support.

posted a message on 565 hours played in 24 days? impossible!

Again: You don't count the CHARACTER's hours, you count the playtime of CLASSES in the seasons tab. We know that character's playtime is meaningless because of rebirth.
