In his video, he's bitching so many times about "items that are much cheaper on EU than on US". I wonder if he was just lucky by finding those items? I tried to build a similar set like the one he did and especially all the Zuni items are at least two times as expensive as in his video. I put in the same numbers and the prices were just twice as high, some even more. As for the ring, there was only one matching his stats, for 10 times more buyout (39m). Was he just lucky, or is it that everyone watched his guide and thus people realize "oh these items are worth something" and therefore prices increased? That would make basically every publicly released guide unusable. He also doesn't offer too many alternatives, like rare belt or black weapon, just to avoid running into this problem that you *need* Chanto set, 3 piece Zuni, and so on (which is not the case).
I liked his previous guides and linked them in my gear guide, but this one is in my opinion not too helpful because it falls short on several aspects: too limited choice of alternative gear, too much "luck" involved in sniping the items, a budget that's not really a budget build anymore, and a lot of assumptions that bring people into trouble who just think that within half an hour and with 50m they can build a perfect CM wizard. He has a lot of experience and is able to compute so much stuff in his head, if people do the same in less than an hour I bet many will end up with a flawed set in the end (just falling short on some important EHP stats for example).

Thanks, apophiz!
Tracker is updated now for S14, all that's missing are the boss names. Hopefully I'll get them before the season start, otherwise I'll update them as soon as I'm done with Guardian.

I plan on updating it, yes - but I have to wait until Blizzard send me the info. I've already contacted Nevalistis but haven't heard back from her yet, and last season I didn't receive the info in time, so there's a chance it won't be up before the opening weekend (at least the boss names). We'll see, I'm waiting for the S14 blog post which at least will give us the conquests and Chapter 4 reward.
I've added a countdown and placeholders and so on, so at least that's there.

A one-time payment means there is no continuous support. And that's what we want. D3 was released 6 years ago - I'm sure the next Diablo will not have a huge price tag but a different financial model. Just look at what they did to SC2 - it became F2P but now enjoys more updates than ever because of the insane income stream from skins, portraits, and stuff.
But then you throw "lootboxes" in and that's what people wrongly conflate. No one, absolutely fucking no one, ever wants this game to become "pay2win", i.e., loot for payment. Microtransactions should always be purely cosmetic or "optional", not mandatory to enjoy any kind of game content or be able to compete for anything.
We need to get over our anxiety and see microtransactions for what they really are: the only thing to save our game. Because the 60 dollars you paid 6 years ago don't fund the game developer for the 2020 patch/expansion anymore, and with a few thousand hours played (which many of us here have on our record) it becomes quite ridiculous to even bring forth that argument, in my opinion.
Edit - just as some food for thought, look at what happened to SC2 after they announced it to be free to play. The game was in a similar state of where D3 is now a few years ago, and then they introduced micro transactions and realized they can just make it F2P because so many people buy skins and stuff (the only content that costs money are the campaign and co-op commanders after level 5).

I think if you're just looking for a casual game in which you can randomly slay some demons and get some loot, without having to delve too much into theorycrafting, numbercrunching, or "making the right choice", Diablo 3 is an amazing game - especially the first 10-100 hours (depending on how fast/slow you are, and basically the slower you are because you take your time the better your experience will be).
Once you've experienced it all and you hit the ceiling and all there is is farming higher numbers (increasing paragon and gem levels for higher GR numbers) the game becomes stale. It reminds me of Torchlight 1 (just when it came out) - the first 15 hours were some of the most amazing experience I've ever had in any game ever. So. Much. Fun. But then there was nothing new, the itemization and game design just "stopped" after a certain level (I think it was 60), and the game become boring almost instantly.
Yeah, this game is definitely underappreciated. I mean, if this game was shit I wouldn't have 4k hours played.

Then came the auction house. In hindsight, it was the worst thing Blizzard ever did, and they admitted it themselves on multiple occasions. I mean, they did this for all the right reasons, and it heavily backfired, but the effect can never be cured: The completely "broken" D3 in the beginning was a pay2win slugfest, a game that some "hardcore" gamers truly enjoyed and that attracted some vile people (who weren't interested in playing the game, but just wanted to make money - and unfortunately succeeded). Millions of players were alienated, couldn't finish the game, and left for good. I've tried to bring back some of them, but for them Diablo 3 is like a new version of their once favorite dish that was served with some disgusting sauce on top, and no matter how many times you promise them "this time I'll make it right", they'll probably never return your dinner invite. Understandably, I'd say.
Therefore, I think a complete reboot might be the only reasonable thing. Which is so sad because I think Diablo 3 with RoS is close to a perfect game. The only thing it needs is (and I'm gonna be crucified for that, but I'll say it): microtransactions for cosmetics. It's what almost every other game has these days, it allows for an endless stream of income (more than anything else in the business), it allows for a crazy amount of content (see ALL OTHER FREAKING BLIZZARD GAMES). Microtransactions in D3 would mean that we'd easily get a way to finance just a handful of new items each season and maybe a skill revamp/balance change once a year. Or even more - looking at SC2 (which is now even F2P thanks to microtransactions) we might even see one new class per year. What I personally would love are some super rare, but not super powerful items to promote a long-term item hunt. The problem is: millions of people who played D3 won't come back to that. Especially if you tell them "D3 now has microtransactions - BUT ONLY FOR COSMETICS" they'll get auction house PTSD and turn away.
So what's gonna happen? We don't know. I think there's a 1% chance that Blizzard is doing anything along the lines what I pointed out in the previous paragraph for D3. There's a bigger chance (say 33%) they're working on D4. There's about an equally big chance they're working on a reboot (DEMONS VERSUS ANGELS F2P VR MOBILE MMO or whatever; I don't really care what they call it as long as they stop this "Nephalem" bullshit, imho). And then there's a chance - like you said, Aerisot - of them doing none of this and just letting the franchise die. The Diablo 3 job posts could easily just be for recruiting purpose and the new game could be something entirely different. Like an casual, clicker-based MMORPG in the Overwatch universe. Or whatever. :-)

One thing to note though is that I'd *definitely* recommend switching to force move. I did this a long time ago, can't remember when, but there's no going back (recently started Grim Dawn and realized how annoying it is that the "force move" there works different, so in all the D3 bashing we often forget how many things this game gets absolutely right). It's a bit of a learning curve - what I do is basically I always have force move pressed and just hit shift to shoot. You might also try binding force move to scroll wheel; if that works out for you it's HUGE, but I personally just felt too much strain on my finger to constantly scroll. Give it a try! In the beginning it might be a setback as adjusting takes some time, but it definitely helps.

I think if you don't stutter step and/or do the other crazy things Wudijo and other top DHs do, GR93 with your gear/paragon is quite a good result already. To go higher you'll need to either simply become more powerful (higher gems by doing some group GRs, though it's difficult to find a spot as a DH; more paragon, better gear) or "step up your gameplay" which includes stuff like stutter stepping.
What do you reckon is your biggest limitation, damage or survivability? What caught my eye is the fact that you have incredibly low HP (less than 500k) due to the fact that you have almost no vitality on the pieces where it could be an option (e.g., shoulders, hands, offhand). Sometimes just becoming a bit more tanky allows for more time to shoot because you have to vault less often. Also makes sure your discipline always is super maxed out. I also don't like stutter stepping, and I found it good to always go a bit more defensive (sometimes even by switching one item to a defensive choice, such as Esoteric, though with that setup of course 99 isn't an option - but I haven't tried to really "push" with UE).
Maybe someone else will provide some insights, it's been some time since I played myself. But you made me consider going back and trying what I can achieve as well... just waiting for the post-season "gear merge"

I personally was travelling a lot this month, so I'm kind of happy the season start is delayed. Although delayed it a bit too much for my taste, as it now competes with the World Cup (and I'm absolutely not missing any of that :P)

Gratz! I got the same... with the same rolls... THREE TIMES! Gave two of them away to other people, because why not.
Btw, if you put the stats in D3Planner you'll figure out that due to the high CHC (compared to CHD) it's usually better to roll to elemental damage (of course depends on build and gear etc, but was the case for my WD a few seasons ago when I did the math).

It was indeed marked as spam - should be back now!

You need to get a new one - old items don't get updated retroactively (only set items/bonuses, and sometimes legendaries but only in rare exceptions and Deathwish isn't one of them).

Just FYI: The current top clear by bunkka is available as VOD on his Twitch:
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/234296179 (just at the end of the VOD, the last 10 minutes or so).
He died during the Conduit and needed almost 4 rotation for the boss, so potentially there's even quite some time gain possible - although obviously he got an insane streak of awesome crits on the first 5-10 packs or so. And... he's just an amazing player who regularly gets #1 on Challenge Rifts and conquests and everything else that is purely skill-related. But it might help some people, when I saw the time at first I was like "how is this possible?"

"Being neglected"? This is the 36th challenge rift and the first one where the chosen clear is really one of the top clears. This was a request by the community for a long time ("make challenge rifts really challenging"). I think realizing an idea brought forward by the community is the opposite of "neglecting". But that's just me
