Resorting to personal attacks?
This is a discussion. Understand that.
Yes. This 3rd grade lvl reader is saying you should pick up all rares. Even "all ilvl 58 or 59 items. All 1H crossbows. Every single 2H weapon, including crossbows and daibos"
Guaranteed fail rares can be vendored or salvaged.
Vendored = Gold
Salvaged = Mats
Both Gold + Mats can of course be used/sold/traded in the AH. I would assume this is called using the AH.
"If you use the AH to buy your gear and/or mats, then yeah, picking up ALL rares is a waste of your time." What?
Being selective in picking up rares or picking all rares depends on your gear level not whether you use the AH or not.
If I am a poor beginner with minimal gold who uses the AH, I shouldn't be picking up ALL rares?
OP should not pick up ALL rares because his gear lvl is high enough since he can manage 80m-120m/xp per hour. That doesn't have anything to do with the AH.

I disagree. Unless you mean the RMAH, picking up all rares is not a waste of time.
For those of us who use the GAH, those rares are at the very least a viable source of gold and materials.
And like it or not, trading on the GAH is a core part of d3 right now.
Regardless of what some people complain about, you do get lucky with drops once in a while.
Maybe not to the extent of hundred million or billion gold stuff but every little bit helps.
Playing d3 is something of a gear progression.
To answer the OP, if your current gear is already at the high end, yes skipping certain rares or even all rares in exchange for increased xp gain can be considered because the potential gain might not be worth the lower xp.
Sep 20, 2013Ah that hurts! HA/BL was the first and only DH build that really stuck!Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
So you guys are saying my best bet to boost dps right now is changing skills?
I do tank with the current build, but only against trash mobs and easy elites.
Its hard to change as more often than not, kiting with HA, burst BL and Sentry gets the job done fast enough.
Lotware is right. The homing ability of HA and crit dmg of HA Spray of Bones does really good dmg while stutterstepping.
All I have to do is shoot at the general direction....
I usually play mp7 but can I go higher with Bola/SpikeTrap or RF?
If the answer is yes then I better get to saving up for a new chest and/or DML!
Sep 19, 2013I have been playing a dh as my main since launch.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
Around 720 hrs logged in and this is the best I can do.
I seem to be stuck against an impossible dps wall too.
Best upgrade I can think of at the moment is to swap the andariels for a cc mempo while getting rid of the hellfire ring for a better quadfecta ring.
But I feel that this is a very expensive and not efficient upgrade. Plus I dont know how long it'll take me to farm that amount of gold...
As there seems to be quite a number of pros here, can anyone can help me find an better alternative to boost my dps?
Btw I am using a standard ball lightning and hungering arrow build....
Jan 26, 2013TS: Overall for starting gear it is quite good. But I am guessing you will be having some survivability issues. Maybe more Vita on the chest piece? Nat's Embrace with high Vita are not too expensive these days. Also as a matter of personal preference I think you should swap the Lacunis for rare bracers with Dex, Vita n CC. If your CC is low, the additional IAS from the Lacunis is not worth the massive hit to survivability...Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
Also, sorry for being out of topic but that is one imba DH you got there Analogkid.....
Sep 18, 201233808 posted a message on Kotaku article: "TL2 Vs. D3: The Comparison We Had To Make"I can't believe I actually read through the entire article. What is Kotaku trying to pull anyway?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Sep 13, 2012Just noticed we're using the same xbow. Nice!Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
Haha i found that helm. Can't afford it otherwise. If i were to buy an Andariel's Visage, i would get one of the old ones with a socket. No +exp socket on the helm is really painful. If you so desire, you can consider getting an old one without a socket for less than 1m (price is on the us servers though). The performance difference is not really that much. Much better bang for gold.
Vile Ward? Woah. Way out of my league. I'll take your suggestion and trawl for a good rare shoulder though.
Sep 13, 2012I like the LoH and regen on Manimal's DH. RD elites should not be a problem for u i think.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
I agree with Yay. If that were my DH i would go for a chest, left ring and weapon gem upgrade next.
That seems to be the most efficient way to increase your DPS at this point.
On the topic of upgrades, what do you guys think i should be the next upgrade for my DH?
Has to keep to a balanced DH style. Since everything seems to be prohibitively expensive, I am thinking of either a new cloak with 3 sockets (similar stats) but the DPS gain would be minimal...
Edit: Oh great i can't post URLs....
