Okay, I managed to craft Aughilds shoulder and bracers now. Both not the best, but good enough to justify going for that setbonus.

A Thunderfury...yeah...that would be nice, but I never saw one and I cannot plan on getting items that require rnd. I would love to get a better weapon. TF or Burning Axe would be good upgrades for me, I think.

My shards will go into gloves in hope for Magefists, but I still feel weak during Archon downtime. Will probably have to live with that. Problem is, that in rifts you have far more groups than Archon available, even if you save Archon for them (which I do of course).

Is Blizzard really worth considering? I know that frost nova is kind of unnecessary, but I did not find any great alternative for now.

I changed around some gear now and tried a fire based archon build and I think it works a bit better now. Damage during Archon downtime could be better, but I am still gearing up.

With my templar I can play torment 3 accaptably now, but I fear playing in a group without my tank. Damage taken is still a bit high.

I am starting to farm mats for Aughilds now, but I am unsure which path to actually choose. Aughilds Shoulder and Bracer? Or should I try to get some Tal pieces (already have a helmet and Rorg)? Or maybe mix 2p captain crimson for CDR and hope for Vyrs Hands? Or hope for Magefists instead..?

Sorry for sounding sooo noobish, but it is my first time playing something different than FO or occasional Disintegrate...

    Hi Diablofans community,

I am a bit lost with my mage at the moment. I was playing FO all the time and toyed with Disintegrate now and then, but on torment 3 I have the feeling that I am simply to weak and too slow.

Now I could manage to get 3 pieces of Vyr and a Ring of royal grandeur. I also have a fire SoJ in my stash. This is my profile:

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/akolon-1308/hero/10456141

As you can see, my toughness (particularly my HP) has dropped to an uncomfortable level...

Could anyone please give me some ideas and inspiriration, what builds could be playable with my current gear? My current goal is to play torment 3 comfortably, but I simply do not know how.

My FO gear is mostly yellow, but I could survive much better then now. I hoped that the new set would open up a lot of damage possibilities, but I am really disappointed.

    All help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

*sigh* Finally went to the dark side and started whirlwinding...

Got some nice upgrades now, according to your recommendations I got a life leech belt and bracers with crit

Running buffed (Battle Rage and Scoundrel) at 100k DpS and farming MP2 very fast.

What would you think I should concentrate on next?

I am torn between a better helmet (which seems to be expensive if it is a real upgrade) and a new mainhand weapon (which isn´t easy either). Do you see any more important improvements?

    Thank you ;)

    Thank you for your replies!

So I will concentrate on upgrading my belt first.

My budget is limited and I try to save 10-15m gold at a time and then buy one piece after the other (preferably something like 4-6m per item). I already scanned the AH (EU) and I now know that I will have to invest some time to find a good one even without Vit on it.

My new ring brought me up to 85k dps in MP4. Maybe I will find something to improve my funds ;)

    Hello my brothers!

My GF (wizard) and I are farming MP3 for some days now and I got several improvements from drops and the auction house and now I am seeking advise on how to go on.

    My profile link:
    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Akolon-1308/hero/1614270

I am running 73k DpS with battle rage and my survivability feels good.

But what would be the best start from here? I´m still hesitant to go WW, because my last attempt was horrible (though I got some upgrades since that time). I probably should go 2h, but my shield still contributes to much armor to my survivability.

Which parts would you upgrade next, if you played that barbarian?

    Thanks!

Well, I played some time with a fellow barbarian who is a WWer and I am absolutely torn. On the one hand he is just ripping through armys of mobs in seconds and shows an enormous killspeed, but on the other hand he sometimes gets into situations, where he cant maintain his fury and buffs because of unfortunate champ packs and then dies veeeeery fast. My killspeed is slower, no question, but I rarely die.

I now found a Schaefers Hammer and am playing around with it and so far I like it, but my survival is a bit low fow a 2h build.

Another point is, that playing with 1-2 friends 80% of the time I play, a WW build seems to be far less party friendly than other builds.

So I think I will be going the twohand road. I already looked at FC/MA and I will definitely try it out, but at the moment I don´t know which skill to sacrifice for it. Leap would be the first candidate but it is also my defensive cooldown and gets you out of situations that FC does not.

Now...since I am allowed to post links now - here is my char:
    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Akolon-1308/hero/1614270

What would you guys think I should focus on gear wise first? I have 15m gold since I bought a nice amulett recently (I hope it was worth the money...) and I still need directions, which part of my gear should be upgraded first.

Movespeed boots are on high demand but if you look for good stats as well, the rapidly skyrocket in price (probably because of al the WWers). Chest and legs are "ok" but far from optimal....as is the rest of my gear.

    *sigh*

Just tried WW for the first time and it was horrible. Maybe it was just the lack of practise and of proper WW gear, but I grow more and more confident that WW won´t be the right choice for me.

Yes, I know, I would really like to add the link to my profile, but I need two more posts and I don´t like to spam. I will add it as soon as I am allowed to.
Maybe someone could link it for me?
But it should be possible to search the profile with my battle tag.

I am rather sceptical if WW would be the right choice for me. I would give it a try but my limited budget forces me to be a bit more certain in where I want to go to.

    Hello my tribal brothers,

I´m a day one barbarian and after some break and only little invested playtime in the last weeks, I returned to claim my rightful position among the paragon nephalem, but...I don´t know which path to choose.

I originally built my barb to smash stuff and to jump into the action, simply battering the shit out of demons but when I finally reached inferno, I was forced to suddenly go tanky with snb and all that stuff.

I got used to the defensive build and the spenderless frenzy build and when patches came, I enjoyed the comfort of being able to stand in the middle of the mobs and beeing near invincible.

When 1.0.4 arrived and everything got even easier, I wanted to go back to the roots and try a more offensive orientated build - but I found none that suited my playstyle or wasn´t able to get the correct gear without actually downgrading just to get the correct gear for another build.

I am playing on EU (no native english speaker so sorry for the post quality here) and my budget is limited to about 20m gold.

    This is my Char: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Akolon-1308/hero/1614270

The last build I tried and was more or less happy with was a cleave/rend build with leap, wotb, warcry and revenge. That worked out fine and the playstyle was ok. But the damage is rather low (about 30k without wotb active). While this is more than enough to easily clear and farm act3 and I also killed diablo by now, I would really like to massively upgrade my damage.

Now there are several questions I am trying to get answered and I hope some of you might help me!

Firstly I do not know, which kind of build I would like to play. I always liked two hand weapons most but the experiences I had in Inferno so far were discouraging... Dual wield might be an alternative, but for this I would have to look for 2 good weapons instead of just one. Sword and board is solid defense and crit on the shield gives a small dps boost as well, but I fear I would have to break up with snb first in order to get larger dps increases. But wouldn´t I get much more vulnerable then?

Secondly I am unsure which spender would be the best for me. DW seems to greatly favor DT builds which I am doubtful of if it would match my playstyle expectations.

Rend appears to be the no1 choice for a 2hand, but rend is - well - unspectacular. Don´t get me wrong, the damage is amazing and it is quite reliable, but there are no massive burst numbers, which always made me smile!

Additionally rend has to major drawbacks that annoy me: A. the radius is unglyphed a little bit to small and B. the crit behaviour of rend forces you to apply 3-5 rends in succession in order to get the big one on as many monsters as possible...

I lately played around with seismic and I will continue to try out different combinations in the next days, but seismic produces nice big numbers on large areas but the knockback is both a blessing and a curse and I regularly encounter "facing problems" with seismics ging in completly wrong directions...

Thirdly I am absolutely not capable of choosing something to buy in the AH. All of my items are okay but not great and a major upgrade would nearly take all of my money to be more than a very little upgrade which would not be worth the money. I feel as if I should not give up any defense (except for the shield which would need to go for 2h or dw) and my offense needs serious increases (especially CHD).

I am mostly playing in groups whith at least one additional player (wizard) and occasionally additional people (most of them are DH). So any advices should consider this.

I really hope that I can get some inspiration here and maybe some advices because my barbarian thirsts for more blood than I can shed at the moment and in the future I need to be standing in oceans of blood to the damn waist!

    Thanks in advance!
