Also, don't really bother with MP unles you can 1-hit everything at whatever MP you set. The extra MF/exp isn't worth the time wasted killing stuff.

How much does the Digital Deluxe version cost? I'm torn between that and the full CE.

Even if you want to buy items that aren't worth their price tag, you should still spend more than 20 minutes buying your entire gear set. If you're at the point where you only have 500k to spend on gear, you're also at the point where you aren't a good/experienced enough player to farm it all back in 1-2 hours.

If you're stuck with some completely terrible <10k item in a slot then sure, buy the best item you can find for 10-20k (but please, still spend at least some minutes searching for a reasonable one), but save the rest of your gold for buying better stuff that are actually worth the price you're paying.

The point is after 1.0.5 nerfs to inferno and buffs to drops, regardless of which realm you're playing you should be able to farm mp0 act 3 (which is all you really need to be able to do, anything beyond that is just pennies in terms of increase in xp/hour and loot/hour if it's even an increase). But if so long after the game is out you are still stuck with a low amount of gold, I still advise against spending all of it within 20 minutes spending max 1-2 minutes on every item you buy.
To be honest, farming at mp1-2 is really worth it because of the huge MF bonus you get, without making the fights too much harder. If you can derp mp0 go to mp1, etc.

EDIT: Also, it's worth mentioning that getting a shield with very high crit chance (9+) for your offhand can sometimes be better than just getting a weak secondary weapon. Slightly less DPS, but much higher survivability. Since shields can also give good stats and life%, you can get something decent for cheap.

I'd love for my legendaries to be hand-delivered by vibrantly-colored equines.

Step one: Have no life, at all.
Step two: Move computer into bathroom, use toilet as computer chair.
Step three: Move refrigerator full of food and drinks into bathroom
    Step four: Profit
You forgot a step which is: if toon != barbarian, then delete toon. Then Create a barbarian

Seriously, blizzard should get rid of every class but barbarian. Damn it remember me the days of ret paladins!
I first got a Wizard to 60, and got tired of how much kiting you had to do and how long it took to kill stuff.
I then got a Monk to 60. It was fun, but too slow.
DH killed very quickly, but would insta-die if you ever made a mistake.
Barbarian? Derp mode activated. SPIN TO WIN. (put this on youtube /watch?v=jw44JdK3p9k)

Weapon was half a million, and was the most expensive piece of equipment. I'm farming Act 3 this way. I die once in a while, but if you're careful it's still good. I can derp Act 2, or watch my step in act 3.

(EDIT: Can't post urls, but you can see my profile in EU battle.net)

Gladiator Gauntlets are GREAT cheap gloves for inferno. I got mine for around 50k, and they have 200+ LoH, 75 strength, 7.5% crit, 7% life, and some CC reduction. Specially the LoH is welcome for so cheap.

For other Barbs not quite well geared enough to do this, try Blood Funnel on Whirlwind and Relentless.

<- Barb geared to derp Act 2, takes too long and dies too much in Act3.
