same principle would apply to the action house. If you could figure out a way to create an auction, and get the auction saved so it is active, then figure out a way to crash the client/auction house server (without saving your character so that it reloads your inventory when you re-sign in., then you could probably dupe in that method also. I've seen lots and lots of auction house only maitenance over the life of D3.

duping isn't really that hard to do. it is all about being able to tell when a save has occurred (usually able to force one by logging off). then having a way to crash the servers. With all the bug fixes directed at patching game crashing bugs, I can see how duping is getting out of control. Once you have a way to crash the servers, you have a way to force the game to "not save". then you can do whatever you want including giving away your gear to someone else. letting them log and save their character and then you crash the server and force your character to not be saved. Then you log in and all your stuff is there because it didn't save the fact you transferred all your items. However, you friend has all the items too because they logged off and saved their character.

if the RNG is based off clockcycles, then maybe not all server configurations are the same, maybe they (blizzard) re-use servers (as most corps do to save money) they may have many different configurations servers all working together to serve this game? Maybe then, certain server configurations run in a way that they hit those clock cycles that reward players better some how? Maybe it's the way the servers are restarted, and all servers have to talk to a master loot server or something, the ones that get restarted first connect to the loot server first and secure a higher roll spot or something based on where they are in the list. I don't think you can assume that all servers are setup the same and have the same hardware. They are probably like PC's where you can run the code on any of them, but different setups will give you different performances. Maybe one of those servers has a slower CPU so that the chance to hit on a reward clockcycle is greater as you stay on that reward cycle for longer? (does that even work that way?) Heck maybe it only works for low magic find. So for example some of the servers are setup so that people with low magic find will still get drops, maybe it's class specific as mentioned before, who knows.

it would make sense that the first servers they have could be different setup than later servers they have purchased. (maybe they purchased some when doing dev, then scaled up for production launch, maybe they did it in multiple steps and had to buy more after launch due to demand? remember all those errors we all were getting) The first ones they purchased would likely be lower number IPs as they had them first, you wouldn't start numbering your servers at higher numbers, it's natural to start at the lower end. It makes organizing things easier to find unused IPs.... So maybe the servers they bought to power up, are different somehow and don't reward as good as a result.

tried this out last friday. I don't get to play a ton so i figured if I can do anything to help out my time played, I'll try it out. I tried it on a few sub 100 servers. I was just playing act 2 throught the story line in co-op. First couple hours not much, but it seemed the affixes were slightly better. I was on 54 I think. Then I switched and played again on ACT 2 co-op and was on server 32. I got my first post 1.0.4 legendary. Crappy it was, but I've only ever had two other legendaries and both those were while I was still leveling up and not level 60 yet. I will definately be trying this again in the future to see if my luck holds out. Oh got a nice pair of +all res, crit chance crit damage, dex gloves I'm gonna sell too.

    74 mf from items, + lvl 6 paragon + 5 stack nv.
    74+18+75=167mf.

I think everyone is out having fun with this build, or they don't want it to get too popular so that it gets nerfed.

I just played with a DH using a build similiar to this last night. he was absolutely tearing things up. I was playing my wizz (blizzard/hydra) and I could barely get off 1 hydra and 1 blizzard before he had everything destroyed. He was tearing things up left and right, champ pack (no problem), eliets 1-2 seconds, bosses, 5-10 seconds usually. Granted this was act 1, and it does cause him to die more often (he said) because he had to jump into crowds sometimes, but this was the most fun I ever had playing diablo, and I wasn't even doing the damage myself. I was lucky to even have time to get blizzard up and running he was taking things down so fast. 1500% damage from this skill is rediculous. I'm sure he had high DPS too, but it was so awesome.

Not to mention that he got around the map so much faster due to vault. I felt like I was running through molasses compared to him. Tempted to roll a DH because of this.
