I like the idea, however I don't think the tokens should expire. Some people would proabably like to stockpile them and then do a lot of fights one after the other, same as the Rift Keystones in the RoS Beta.
I'm not sold on the "buff as a reward" idea though, something that you can use on game to game basis would be better. Maybe as a reward you get a number of "Buff Stones" (you imaginitive people can think of a better name) dependant on the difficulty. You can use these at anytime and it will provide a buff to damage and toughness for an hour, but say the effect can stack 3 times so you could try the next difficulty up increasing the chance of getting a gear upgrade through gameplay.
A different idea for a reward, I came up with this. You get a number of tokens / stones / whatever for completing the boss fights. For a large number of these you could buy an amulet / ring that had very low stats for base stat, vitality, crit chance, attackspeed, etc etc. Once you have purchased the item, you take it to the jeweller, who for a number of the same currency you used to pruchase the item, will upgrade the stats on that item. Then the next time you go to upgrade, it will cost more currency, and the next time more and the next time more again. Maybe you could do this 20-50 times in total, then not only would you feel like your progressing in power but you have a permanent item that you can use on different characters if you choose to.

I've started doing public games since 1.0.8, all I want from a group is that everyone participates and doesn't die on every pack. Sadly there's normally at least one person who falls into this category.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Saying that though, the last MP10 group I ran.. all had sub 100K dps but stayed up except for hard elite packs, quite happily stayed with them for what turned out to be pretty much a full act 1 clear, 3 different mantras definitely helped .. so rough with the smooth

I sold my Vile Wards and sexy bracers 1 week before 1.0.7 hit to maximise profit. I guessed it would be hard / lucky to get better amulet and gloves. I've already spent more than that crafting the new recipes and whilst I have an increase in DPS, overall I am weaker due to less HP / resists. I've easily made over 500 items.. am I complaining? no! It's just how the dice roll. I realise I could go home, get 1 demonic essence drop and roll uber shoulders / bracers.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
My friend however has rolled 4 items (shoulder, amulet, gloves, bracers) with awesome stats with double dex rolls (all over 300).. total crafts for all 4 slots = 27. She currently has 150+ Demonics in her stash to try and get an upgradw "when she gets the time".
It's the nature of the game, don't like it, go play something else because that's how this game works and you'll only get more frustrated

Posted in: Looking For GroupQuote from rebjornI assume you're on the US servers since you don't specify what server you are on. US players always do that.
If you read the thread title, it's actually pretty clear

hi,Posted in: Looking For Group
Myself (MP7 player) and 2 friends (both MP5) are looking for someone to boost us through the uber bosses. We have atleast 18 devices (think it might be 21).
Please post here if
-you are capable of helping us through
-if you charge and how much
-how many runs you'd be up fordoing
-(roughly) the best times for you, then we'll try to arrange a time that's suitable

1) This isnt a Blizzard forum so your thread is as useless as it is pointlessPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
2) If you don't like D3, stop acting like a baby, stop throwing your toys out of your pram and go play something else.. hey, even D2 as it seems to be the pinnacle of gaming that will never be topped to children like you.
This game wasn't made for you. Sorry to break it to you, the world doesnt revolve around you either. Twat.

Does anyone think that there is anything more to this than Blizzard gathering data / keeping forum users occupied? I was thinking maybe it's to see which textures and tiles to re-use / re-colour for the first expansion or (hopefully) some kind of infinite, random dungeon game mode with a future patch. Has anything been hinted at? Anyone else have any thoughts?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

if the money is spare (i.e. entertainment / buy "real" stuff money) then fine, no different to buying beers or going to the cinema, some could even argue it's better value. If it's diablo 3 stuff or food and bills and you go for diablo stuff.. that's a problem.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Personally, I only spent money on gold once. I had the morning planned to play diablo, got called into work for 4 hours overtime (8 hours pay) and used 2 hours pay on gold and purchased a batch of nice stuff. Most efficient farming morning I ever had XD

with your curent gear set-up, i'd recommend an "inna's favor" (belt) with your chosen resist / all resist. You already have 3 parts and use sweeping wind; The 70 spirit reduction on sweeping wind really makes the difference; Basically you kill everything in range and for 5 spirit you can chain sweeping wind till the next pack.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
