Okay so I think that it shows less DPS because that weapon maybe didnt have gems in it ?Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Anyways, you shouldnt have to use any defensive passive like nerves of steel or superstition.
If you take a look at top barbs they all use weaponmaster and ruthrless. There is a reason for that and that is because those are the best. The third can be bloodthirst (dont know about the 0.6% on inferno, but on my barb, I can fight 2-3 elites all at once in mp7 with reflect dmg, plagued, molten, arcane, etc and the lifesteal keeps my alive because im doing insane damage with sprint - rltw.)
or animosity/unforgiving on lower MP (not worth it IMO, impossible to keep up WOTB/less magic/exp find)
As for your all resist, I reccomend you check out the d3up site, and import your character, and then on the topright of the screen it will show this large green number called "effictive hitpoints" This is basically the real damage that your character can take before it dies. Now My barb has 463K EHP, and I can pretty much tank anything in mp7 or 8. From the charging guys in act1/2 to the trees in act 1 to azomadan fireball etc. Now I am pretty sure your EHP is alot higher than mine, so you can drop it a bit. Keep in mind that the inna pants give +1% CC and +8/9% AS which means faster attacks/more crits = more lifesteal = more hp.
Like phuzi0n says, the information provided in-game is not nearly accurate. For example according to the game, my DPS is 226k but in reality I am doing 1,6M DPS against a single enemy. (not sure with how many tornadoes this is).
So you see that with my 5,7% lifesteal, I am stealing a lot of HP, and thats just from a single enemy. Now with the recent monster density update, there are like 50 monsters at all times on my screen, and I am hitting all of them at once, doing 1,6m DPS against each one, stealing 5,7% hp from each one of them per second. So you see dropping some all res isnt that bad.
I know it seems weird to lose that much STR and all res from those depth diggers, but trust me innas temperance pants are the best, thats why everyone uses them. I was in your position too some time ago, I used 5set immortal king and though it was freakin awesome. However I was not able to keep WOTB so I looked up what are the best items for barb, and I bought them.
Before I barely did MP3 and now I rooll over mp8 and do so much damage and can keep WOTB up forever.
For your main hand defintely get yellow axe / mace with 1000+ dps, socket and/or CD, lifesteal, str (v expensive). Then buy a echoing fury with intellect on it. I bought mine for only 9m while one that had str and lower dps was cost 400M, losing 160 str isnt that bad, just get 2500+ its good.
You definitely want 2 sources of lifesteal, weapon/belt / passive. It keeps you alive like I said before.
Mempo - high EHP, socket, highest dps
Andariel visage - cheap, low EHP, very high DPS
Immortal king eternail reign - high ehp, 3 socket, pretty cheap now
inna pants - high DPS, 2 socket, movement speed. Get one with only vit 30-40M for 150+ vit is v good, str is only up to 100.
Lacuni prowlers - high dps, movement speed. Expensive if you want good str/vit and CC on it.
Ice climber - high EHP, soecket, expensive to get good random stats on.
Unity - perfect stats for ring.
Litany - all res, reduces damage from elite, CC.
Witching hour - high DPS , expensive to get high str + vit / all res.
Echoin fury - Increase Attacks per second (not attask speed) for main hand = more tornadoes = more dps = more lifesteal
Good rares / crafted
Ofcourse there are other items too, like blackthorn, but you really need 2 items with movement speed and to get it on ice climbers is freaking expensive, and other boots aren't really that good. (immortal king is OK)
You can also use a stone of jordan with 6% cold damage, and whirlwind / HOTA / Bash bonus.
I also reccomend using a buriza do kyanon on your scroundrel follower although this can be very expensive.
The main problem is gonna be your budget. If you have 10M in your bank then there is no way you can get the good items. My items cost me about 1,5B and I bought that using real money.
