At first glance I would say that your critical hit chance looks good but your crit hit damage needs to be much higher, that will make your dps jump up substantially. I like weapons with both crit hit damage and a socket.

As far as your Life on hit goes, you can usually find very high LoH amulets so that your main hand remains pure damage while your offhand is your life on hit (+ life steal if possible) weapon.

I would also try to replace your boots with something a bit stronger, 40ish strength and vitality is a bit low.

I've recently replaced Hurricane on Whirlwind with Blood Funnel and Reckless with Inspiring Presence and it gave me amazing results in higher monster power. Try one or both if your struggling to survive.

I see that you're still in Act 1 with your barbarian. With just a few changes you will be able to breeze through, at least on MP 0 and 1.

I hope this helped a bit. Let us know how your progress goes!

Besides that, im wondering about the boots: Is the movement speed really worth it or is there a cap which makes it useless when i got sprint and wotb running anyways?

Its mandatory for me and when I don't have movement speed I immediately notice it. The cap on gear is 25% but that is added to the speed increase from WotB, as far as I know. Also, I believe it is at 10%+ speed increase on gear that you spawn an additional tornado when you move. Keep an eye out for the legacy Sage's Seeker (or non-legacy if they're cheap). When cheap enough they make for a nice piece of defensive footwear.

And as Vastling wisely mentioned, you might want to wait until tomorrow before making any big purchase since 1.0.5 will hopefully hit live and there will be ton more gear flooding the AH in the coming weeks.

    Hey Malvar,

Well, first I see that you have full survival gear with no crit hit chance or damage. The WW Barbarian is based on crit so while you're probably doing good with your gear you are not getting the full potential of the build.

Your main hand needs to be switched. I understand that you use it for increased fury, but moving from full survival to a crit based gearset will provide you with the needed fury from the Into the Fray rune. Your main hand needs to be an axe or mace if you want to get the 10% crit change from the Weapon Master passive. After that, you'll need to get around 20-25% more crit chance from the helmet, amulet, rings, gloves and/or bracers. The more the better, but at around 35% you start to feel the power of the build. Using the Scoundrel for the extra 3% crit chance also helps. Its sometimes easier to get crit chance on gloves and bracers than on rings, it all depends on the prices on the EU auction house or what you have in your stash.

With the switch to crit hit chance your DPS will skyrocket if you manage to have some good crit hit damage and a good amount of strength, which you do right now.

Getting good life on hit on neck (600ish) shouldnt be too hard, and coupled with your offhand you should have enough. I run with around 980 and that's plenty as long as your armor and resistances are not too low (mine are around 7500 and 600-700ish). The more into survival you go, the less dps you have, the longer the fights last and the more chances you have to make mistakes. The more dps you have, the lower your survival, the quicker the monsters die but the margin for error becomes very small.

If you're having survival problems and your armor is low, I'd switch brawler for Tough as Nails or even Superstition for some magic damage reduction.

I tried Cleave as I hate being stuck with only one main attack, but Bash is what gave me the best return in term of damage/fury. If your comfortable with Cleave stay with it, but I decided to go with Bash and the Punish rune and that gives my dps quite a boost over cleave and frenzy. Try it and see what feels best.

So, to recap my suggestions, and other members might have different ones, would be to get a new mainhand, preferably with built-in crit damage, strength and a socket, get crit hit chance from your gear until you reach 30-35% to start with and give Bash/Instigation or Bash/Punish a go.

To my opinion that's the best way to get the most benefit from the WW build and is the way I started using it. I tried many other build but I really can't imagine playing any other way.

Things will change a bit with 1.0.5, but I do just fine with my current build/gear on the PTR.

I hope some of this helped.

MF from Paragon levels do count toward the cap, so in your example, you'd have 300% only. We can still get a little bit higher than 375 given the glitch where follower's MF is not counted toward the cap, but that is fixed in 1.0.5.

That's blizzard attempt to phase out MF gear...

PS: the magic find from the upcoming Monster Power extends the cap, so you can get above 300% with that new system.
