The biggest quality of life improvement for my WD was buying a 900dps blue ceremonial knife with 780 life on hit. Cost me 50,000g.
I have ~600 all resist and ~40k HP and I'm pretty much unkillable in Act3 (except for a few really awful champion packs). A single cast of Acid Rain brings me back to full HP if aimed properly, it's quite ridiculous.
That's just my 2 cents.

I've spend around 4million on my WD overall and I'm farming Act3 with barely any deaths.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Funnily enough buying a blue 900dps ceremonial knife with 780 Life on Hit was the best quality of life change. It cost me 50,000g lol.
My DPS is quite low (25k with shield, 31k with mojo) but my survivability makes up for it

I'm having an awful lot of fun with this build!
With the rune + passive I can pretty much spam Spirit Barrage on bosses and elites and it does a TON of damage (it also goes through "Waller" walls and finds its target so it's great to single out 1 monster), for everything else there's Rain of Toads.
My Garg just walks around cleaving stuff in the face for obscene amounts. I'm not really sure about Zombie Dogs though, thinking about choosing a different ability.

I plan on going with this: http://us.battle.net...UPYT!adW!abaZccPosted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
However, depending on how things work out I might go with this: http://us.battle.net...UPYT!adW!abaZcc
Spirit Barrage with PtV costs 140 mana. You get 44 back from the rune, and you regen 45 mana/sec baseline, so I guess I'll be able to cast quite a few before going OOM. This is the only mana intensive spell in this build so I don't want to use a mana passive... Dunno. Actually, with the new Rush of Essence this will pretty much be mana-free.

THEY CAN'T ATTACK THE SIN HEARTS (the jar can)! Maybe they are charmed by their spider auntie ^^?
They won't attack Belial (last phase) either At least my spiders just stood there like a bunch of twats...

Hey there. I'm a fairly new WD, leveled to 60 and waiting for the patch so I can play the way I've always wanted1.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Now I understand that Poison Dart+Splinters (or Flaming Dart alternatively) will still be the primary with the highest damage, but I just LOVE Leaping Spiders.
Currently they hit like a wet noodle so I have to go with Splinters, but I see they're getting buffed slightly next patch so I was wondering if they would actually become a viable alternative... ?
Splinters / Flaming Dart: 180% weapon damage
Simple, hits one target, doesn't pierce through enemies, can easily miss moving targets.
Leaping Spiders: 144% weapon damage (assuming they all hit)
Very long range, spiders seek out new targets, they deal damage while you move, they LOL moving/fleeing enemies in the face, and basically you THROW SPIDERS AT PEOPLE (bonus awesome points). However, you can't focus 1 enemy if others are around, they might not land all their hits, and the casting animation is slooow (probably getting fixed though). Are they also bugged in terms of crit damage?
(I didn't look at Blazing Spiders because the leaping part is the whole point, to me at least)
So I'm kinda torn here. I think I can put up with a small damage sacrifice for the utility Leaping Spiders provide compared to plain ol' darts, but the damage difference seems too big :/
1 The build I'm planning on using: Click here
Still undecided on Rain of Toads. Bonus question: does Pierce the Veil affect yout pets' damage as well?
