Well, firebats can be fun if you like standing still and waiting for things to come to you (using pestilence to aggro them, that is). 0dogs is not fun. It is holding down mouse 2 (summon) while spamming mouse 1 (sacrifice) the whole game, playing for some hours at a time cramps my hand. While it does less damage for more gold (a LOT more gold), survivability is greatly increased. I have 150k dps with Cloud of Bats gear, and only 90k dps with 0dog, but the ttk most packs is only slightly longer for the dogs because of the damage range of sacrifice and using 4 dogs. I rarely die on mp10 with 0dog, but find 8+ challenging with CoB and I die often on 10 without a CM Wiz in the group.
Fun-wise, I really don't know at higher mps. I quite enjoy InfiniteBears, but it is not possible to run it past MP4/5 in groups with ~150k dps. for mp4 or less it is quite fun just running through levels spamming bears and killing mobs as fast as they come on the screen. I kind of like Acid Cloud builds for fun, but they just aren't feasible as high-mp-efficient-farming builds. Other silly builds like Spirit Barrage, stun-RoT + Fetish, or even Zombie Wall can be quite fun too, but like the others, not really an option on mid-to-high mps.
I have seen the main article with the changes to the garganutan abilities that relate to damage, and the couple of runes they are changing, but have seen no word on what they are doing with him in regards to survivability. The Previews gave some info for the dogs, but not the gargantuan. In the datamined info, I didn't see anything about neither dog's nor gargantuan's health. Did I miss it in all the changes, or is it just not public yet? Thanks
