It might be worth your while to actually spend a few minutes to search & read the many blue posts that not only answer your question but many others you'll have.
I couldn't care less what you & all the other self-founders (is that even a word?) do ... AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T AFFECT MY GAME!
No matter what arguments you & others have posted (& probably more to come), I still don't understand why you don't have any willpower to NOT let the AH matter to your game/play style. As far as I would recommend for those of you with no willpower & wanting to boast that everything you have is self-found, I suggest that your new mode be EXACTLY the same as SC ... no changes whatsoever to items nor drop rates. No AH, obviously, nor any trading of any kind even between your own characters (gray out the Trade function), each character has it's own separate stash, & any items dropped by you are never seen by any other player (opposite holds true). What you see & find & craft is all you get. Then brag away
On topic: I expected nothing else, to be honest. Can't really say I'm disappointed; I would just have been very surprised if they did the itemization overhaul in the next patch.
For me, the major thing that i hope when i/if i invest in the expansion, is to hope that BLIZZARD ACTUALLY FIX RUBBERBANDING! Been in since 1.03 patch and still getting it, even after a hot fix that made the problem worse.
I rarely get rubberbanding on characters without really high movement speeds, so perhaps the solution is to remove run speed skills like sprint. I bet that would be "popular" ;-)
Even on my super fast Tempest Rush monk or my WW barb I never experienced rubberbanding. I'm playing over wifi, btw. I have heard of rubberbanding for about a year now but never met anyone who actually had any rubberbanding issues since 1.03.
On topic: I had HOPED they would have implemented the changes soon but guess I hoped in vain.
Off topic: Bagstone ... now you have met someone who has had & continues to have rubber banding issues with EVERY game ... using my Barb/WW/Sprint. It seems to have gotten worse since 1.0.8 Of course Blizz just says it's the customers hardware/net connection problem. Gave up a long time ago expecting them to actually fix the problem ... since they are in denial that the problem actually exists.
I agree it's quite annoying (Barb here) when in battle I want to click on a monster and instead pick up loot. So, I've 'liked' your thread over there. Good luck & hope it gets noticed (at the least).
Ahhh ... my bad then I haven't had a chance to play more than a few hours with the new patch & switched from WoTB to Ground Stomp (to help my party members) so didn't notice if it had gotten worse or not. Thank you for the heads up. I'll switch back tonight & check.
A lot of my friends and myself included keep getting weird rubber banding this patch. For a barb it seems the higher your attack speed and WWing together are a potent mix and make you more susceptible to the rubber banding. In any case if you stop your current attack or trying to move, your rubber band ends. If you hold down the skill or move, your rubber band will last you indefinitely.
Just a heads up to those especially playing HC!
This is a known bug since the game was released. It is especially bad when using WoTB ... at least in my experience. Anyway, expect to die. I should add that I use Sprint so when WWing I also spam that to speed things up. Might have something to do with it but haven't checked it out in detail yet.
Above ... no need to derail this thread. The Op is asking about drop rates ... not gold duping, so use another thread. As for the topic, I would love to hear/read about about others' drop experiences in Acts 1, 2, & 4 (& areas) with the new patch. I won't get a chance to play for about another 10 hours so hopefully they'll be some good areas to hit :Thumbs Up:
My run was Festering Woods > Fields of Misery > The Weeping Hollow > Northern Highlands > Cathedral Level 2 > Halls of Agony Level 2 > Cursed Hold > Halls of Agony Level 3 > Butcher
(Start on the "Cursed Hold" quest to get both the Warden and the Butcher for loot)
Thank you!! Did exactly that on MP7 (for 1 run) & got 6 legs. To say the least I was VERY happy :Thumbs Up:
Personally, I don't need any of the OP's questions answered. From a narrow, personal perspective, I could care less about the GAH/RMAH & the so-called economy. I play D3 for 4 reasons: interact with my 'friends', kill monsters, get a chance to see that beautiful bronze cone of light (don't care if it's crap or not), & most importantly (for me) HAVE FUN
Diablo 3 continues to be an enormous and huge success.....ummmmmm I wouldn't go that far.
It's only one of the fastest selling games, most pre-ordered games on Amazon, most first-day sales and as of today one of the best selling pc games ever. It's still played by over 1 million players every day.
I suppose I shouldn't gone that far, I should gone even further looking at sales numbers and such. Diablo 3 is probably one of the biggest successes in history of pc gaming. Thank you for correcting me
The game is horrible and unless you live in a cave and havent played anything else you would see this. Loot system is crap, crafting is crap, class balance is crap, there is absolutely NO end game. While we are tossing around faulty logic I guess cause more people live in China that makes it the best country to live in?
If you really, truly believe the crap you've written about D3 Tiffy, just out of curiosity since this thread is so far off topic already, wtf are you even doing here? This site is called 'diablofans' & yet I can't find 1 of your posts where you even come close to supporting the game, developers, or players ... even with constructive criticism. THERE is the faulty logic getting tossed around (and not just by you).
Not meant to be a personal attack, but all you hater/trolls make reading & enjoying this site tiresome to say the least.
Yes, thank you for sharing :Thumbs Up: . I've only had time to check out Acts 1 & 2 yesterday so this vid gives me a good primer for later today. Just a side note: please try to include some comparative data to make it a bit more useful to those watching. Otherwise, well done!
