posted a message on Anyone scared to play Act 1/2 Inferno opposed to 3?
Build 5 stacks of NV in Act 1 and farm ponies, its painful but it works- 60k repair bill = average 10m return. If you want the drops without the pain, A3 Arreat Crater area. Ponies can be more frustrating but about 20% of the drops are just balls out awesome as opposed to maybe 3% in A3, maybe 1% in A2 (not even sure if its that high- A2 is a pain in the ass anyways, enemies kite and jump around too much to farm effectively, same with A4- with the addition of enemies in A4 of hitting like a Mack Truck, its kinda like ponies but with crappier drops) and the only awesome drops I've seen in A1 are rings and amulets.

posted a message on INSANE legendary drop rate?!
I found 2 on SC and 2 on HC all in about 40 hours of gaming, next to no MF (maybe 30% at best, idk), I've played about 200 hours total (you can check the total time in my profile, do the math if you care)- only found 1 before patch 1.0.4. Legendary spear (The Threehundredth Spear) got me though A4 inferno with little difficulty, still struggle a bit with ponies. HC char is still alive A2 nightmare- noticed game is better (though easier) with better drops. All in all I think the difficulty is about right now- for those that disagree I'd strongly recommend hardcore before you talk crap. Patch 1.0.4 brought the game more in-line with D2, all in all I still can't understand why the game wasn't released this way in the first place (other than the now blatantly obvious cashgrab). I think rares and legendaries are better balanced now (legendaries were never OP they just have unique abilities- I still think they can gimp a set overall and have no idea why ppl blow as much as they do on them- I'm wearing better rares I bought for 300k than legendaries I've seen on sale for 30m).

    TL;DR Well, I'm glad I didn't spend a dime on the RMAH ;)

Sounds completly fake. BoE? HAHA! And Levels of Excellence are stolen from Kripps Video lolz!
This Legendary every 500 Kills is a joke. The Top 1000 in Elite-Kills are ALL BOTS! If Blizzard doesn't stop the Bots the system is a Joke and would make D3 even more broken.

bots farm in hell, not inferno. sure they get NV stacks, but they wouldn't get level of excellence.

This would be kinda cool (even though this was just a hoax), I think people bot Act 1 Inferno with little difficulty- with 400 resist or so you are practically untouchable in A1, not a hard number to get. Bots are gonna bot anyways, if you make loot more attainable, botting becomes a lot less profitable.

posted a message on The [Non-Constructive/Conspiratorial] Rant Posts: What do you think?
I think most people are just venting their rage on the official forums and that makes sense because its the forum of the company that actually released the product. Forums like this aren't going to attract whiners so poll is fairly pointless. Basically, you are asking ppl who like and play the game enough to discuss strategy if they don't like whiners and tbh I'm surprised the poll shows any opposition at all. Also, I think its fair to point out its not just haters, internetz lawyers, forum professors, inscutible walls of text, and fanbois, but CMs and MVPs spewing technicolor troll vomit all over the place. What really sucks is that people get banned for trolling for bringing up legitimate concerns while the MVPs can act like total morons at any given time and the CMs put up awesome cat posts for your viewing pleasure. Official forums are ran by trolls for trolls. True story.

    TL;DR I choose option #3

Ofcourse its a good idea. But keep dreaming anything of all of those that had been posted here would be implemented in the game in next year or two...

Well, they are fixing legendaries- no one saw that coming, and I suspect its because people were posting about it. I do agree it seems a bit far fetched but so are treasure goblins. It'd be cool to see a bonus like this added to the game. Don't jinx it, damn it.

posted a message on With new class buffs, do they really need to decrease inferno difficulty?

it is obvious really, alot of people quit, due to game being too difficult @ inerfno level, not mentioning act 3 cuz that was impossible for major part of population. lot of people quit, they want the "average joe" players back, in order for that to happen they need to make game more appealing to them instead of just hardcore diablo gamers.

Yeah, I don't know about that. First off I haven't seen any numbers from Blizzard telling us how many people are actually playing the game (if you have please link to your source). Secondly, it's not just that inferno was too hard, it is that the entire "progression" model was simply faulty. The design didn't work out, so they're backing away from it and going in another direction.

Its pretty obvious fewer people are playing than before- empty friends lists, less than 500 public games, a little over 1 star on Amazon, the list goes on but really how many hidden footprints do you need. I agree with the second point- if hell was a bit harder and dropped Inferno appropriate gear and inferno difficulty was made more linear (but harder) I think people would be satisfied. I think a lot of "average joe" players are probably very good but they don't want to play with their wallet. The AH tycoons all made their money during the first month (when barrels still had loot/gold, exploits were plentiful and botting went on all day long)- good luck with that crap now, I've found level 55 loot that is better than supposed ilvl 63 loot. The economy is flat busted and ppl don't want to waste their time/money trying to compete in an unfinished endgame where there is no real reward for playing (seriously, most sane people will quit playing long before spending $250 on pixels to grow their epeen).

If they made loot more attainable and possibly increased the challenge of normal mobs a little while reducing the damage caused by elite affixes (especially in A3/A4) I think people would be happier with inferno. As it stands now they should have just named 'inferno' cashgrab or scam mode with most deaths due to low resist values, bad affix combos (so bad the guys who originally cleared it skipped nearly every elite in A3/A4), and uber terribad RNG- not lack of skill. Inferno isn't too hard or easy its just too imba in its present state. The old inferno felt like it was never tested or only tested with ranged classes and the new inferno feels pretty much the same with some nerfs to overall damage and IAS (As a barb, I had to laugh a bit when all the ranged classes started QQing about the nerfs, they weren't talking so big after they had to start stacking resist too)- I attribute these things more to terrible design than actual difficulty.
