I dont think its rocket science to figure out the build, IF you have those items...
The problem is that, in order to play this build, you need some SPECIFIC items, which will make it viable...
What if you never drop those items to play that build?
Its better to start thinking for viable buids without the need of use SPECIFIC items to make them viable...
Welcome to RoS. Every spec that has been made and showcased have and will be with specific legendaries. That is how diablo 3 will work now. This is what blizzard wants for the game, for us to find a legendary and build a spec around that. So all specs will be built around legendaries. Different amount of them. But I don't think anyone want to be rolling around in rare gear when they find a decent legendary.
So trying to find viable builds that don't need specific items is what we will be doing first hours of lvl 70. When you start to build upward the higher difficulties there will only be specs around specific legendaries. And I actually like that this is the case for one...
When going up in diff so the monsters get more life will make the dots be more useful, compared to lower diff. At right amount of hp the monsters won't die as quick from your teammates and using the dots will seem not as spamming. I agree that dots can be useless and feel like something that have to be done all the time to be efficient. But I feel that as long as the monsters have high enough hp that feeling is gone and all is fine
And for streams.. I don't know which WD streams you looked at. But there sure is wd's that don't use the frozen bear skills. And still doing fine. Not sure what is most efficient. But in the long run farming with a build you like always makes you farm more.
Blizzard could easily with this amount of suggestion post make a third x-pac for Diablo III. They get so many awesome ideas from forums that it is insane! So to you Edriel and all the rest that makes these great posts, keep up the good work. And let's keep the hope up for blizzard to take the ideas and make the come true
Of what I can tell from watching streams of the beta trading with gear won't be as much anymore. Since most legendaries seam to be acc-bound. And don't think rare gear will be traded alot when we all know we wan't the gear from them shiny beams. So only use for all their gold will be to be able to enchant items a bit more. Since the materials is in a way able to be bought from vendors. Just buy all the gear with the huge amount of gold you have, leave and reenter game. So that is the only good thing with having alot of gold.
And as a side note: Bounties on highest difficulty (torment VI) gives in beta roughly 3-3.5M. Not sure it was per bounty or after a whole act is cleared. But I guess gold is not that hard to come by anymore anyways...
I realy do hope they include legendaries in transmogrification. Seams kinda worthless otherwise. Since most build will be built around legendaries, thats the gear we will use.. So not beeing able to customize the apperance on them seams just stupid..
Hi, have a little question to you other witch doctors out there. What weapon are you running with and why?
I myself was runing with a skorn for the good LS and dps it gave me for a so small sum... But I have heard alot that it's more rewarding to go with one hand and a mojo from alot of different posts I have read. So now I'm starting this discussion to see what other wd think of what weapon they like using and why.
For now I'm trying out to go with and echoing fury and mojo... But I feel like I lack on the healing since I lost my ls from skorn. Is out only good way of getting healed to use a weapon with LS, or is it worth to go for LoH or somthing to compensate?
So discuss, have fun and let me know what your opinion on the topic is
Hi, would like to get some tip/advice on what to upgrade on my wd. Been playing a cm wizz for a while but now back with this char.
Are curently running with Cloud of bat build as shown in my profile. Often run with a cm wizz where I collect mobs while he freezes and then we just nuke em down Works good as it is now on mp10 but think I can improve it now since I just sold and item and have a budget of almoust 500M.
So any advice on what piece I should uppgrade next and what to aim for would be apriciated But all advice I can get is also awesome..
It is build around using all the basic pets, dogs and gargantuan. As damage I used "Locust Swarm" since it's an amazing spell and realy fun to use, it spreads so fast.. And while the swarm is spreading I use "Fire Bats - Cloud of bats" to kill big packs of monsters. I found this build quite effictive for farming the medium mp difficulties. Ofc It all depends on gear. I ran with around 150k dmg unbuffed, 45k hp, 600AR, and 5%LS. So I was able to handle mp5 easy with just standing in the pack channeling fire bats. Exception for some pack with loads of things on the ground.
I found that I used rain of toads almoust never, so I guess that is changable for spirit walk, if you change around the spell a bit. It could help get out of some situations when you are stuck like I found myself occasionally.
Hope this build can give inspiration to someone else and would apriciate any feedback, or anything that you think can be changed for an even more fun build
ItemPassive_Unique_Ring_738_x1-Removes the cooldown of Summon Zombie Dogs.
Does this mean that 0dogs is much easier to use This will make for such a nice change, no more need to stack several pieces just to be able to almost get it down to 0 in RoS. Hope someone will try this out when it's implemented...
This also seam interesting ^^
ItemPassive_Unique_Mojo_003_x1-A Zombie Dog is automatically summoned to your side every {VALUE1} seconds.
I realy do hope they include legendaries in transmogrification. Seams kinda worthless otherwise. Since most build will be built around legendaries, thats the gear we will use.. So not beeing able to customize the apperance on them seams just stupid..

Or maybe just enable for us to salvage patterns for materials also, something to at least make them useful...

So have got a real interest in finding different (fun) specs for my wd lately, and came up with this build I like to call as silly as "Pet Swirl".
