I really dont know who will buy the PS3/Xbox 360 version. As it is stated, all versions will be seperated from the PC version > so no cross-platform function.
But thats what i was interested in. Go to a friend and play our chars from the pc version on a big TV together and have some fun.
I really dont want to start all over again and pay another 50 euros /dollar whatever for it.
Plus end of the year the Xbox one and PS4 will be there and everyone will want to play together on these new platforms. And after the bad launch of Diablo 3 on PC i know many that see D3 as a big flop (even that it was sold so well) and are disappointed from Blizz.
Lets see how well these version will sell. But i doubt it will be a huge sucess.

I spent all my RMAH balance buying gems to flip for gold and got banned for it. Didn't even know about the dupe until afterwards. Plus it's pretty obvious nobody would spend $180+ on gems to sell for gold if they knew they can just dupe gold, LOL ... So I guess Blizzard's investigation kind of failed. Doubt I'm the only one that got screwed in this mess.

So now I'm down $182.30 from buying gems, with my accounts banned with like $600-700 of items on it, and unable to even get a ticket response to answer what they think I did wrong that deserves a ban.

Figured they'ed ban dupers, but banned for selling gems is pretty ridiculous.

And thats exactly why Blizzard should have done a rollback. People who even didnt know about the dupe either made alot of gold, lost alot of gold or even got banned. In most cases the people made fun out of it and bought items for the lolz because they were confident that blizz would do a rollback.

People get punished because Blizzard did a huge mistake. It is like throwing money on the ground and nobody is supposed to pick it up.
But it seems Blizzard was too afraid to do a rollback after the story in korea where the government raided their offices or to get in contact with paypal to get all the transaction fixed. And to top it all they were so slow to put the game offline that people could flip items for hours and even streamed it for a long time until they woke up.

Im really glad that it didnt occur on EU server, cause thats where im playing. But in my opinion it is not fair and correct at all how Blizzard solved this dupe problem.

posted a message on Help me compare these two items!
Well it is hard to tell for me because i dont know your char and stats always scale and change different depending of the current base stats.
But it seems the bow scales better because you have kind of low critchance and so the added 15% dmg outweigh the added critdmg. (just an assumption)
I would chose the bow ;D

But it's common that bows aren't as good as crossbows, especially manticores...

Did you calculate the dmg with the passive archery in mind? (15% more dmg bow vs 50% crit dmg x-bow)
The bow gives more dmg due to the added dextery and higher weapon dmg.

Some just buy it for the cool looks too or look up the top players/streamers and think it has to be a mempo ;D

    You got it

Most people buy it cause a "top monk" must use Mempo, even if they can only afford a cc3 one.

Yeah. It is kind of sad but what do you want to do about it. ^^ There will be always uninformed people in games. Thats also why people can do shitloads of money in the ah and other keep poor.

Better combination of DPS AND EHP

Is it worth it? Well this is another question.

The rest are dexterity, vitality, resistances than can be rolled in every part of gear.

Well with average gear this might be true but at a certain point it doesnt work that way anymore. If you are aiming for high end gear you need to focus on the rolls and affixes that can be on certain slots. For example you always want high crit dmg (100) and critchance (10) on an amulet because in this slot it can be higher than in every other slot. (gloves also 10% crit)

Another reason is that innas pants are best in slot for almost all classes. Especially for monks. So you can buy a good inna chest and get also the 130 dex set bonus. Sure a rare 63 crafted chest can be better. But it is so hard that it easier to get a good innas chest. To beat the combination you would need a 250+ dex 150+ vit 70+ all res 3 socket + %life chest.

    Goold luck with that one.
And even if you have a 300+ dex 200 vit 80 all res 3 socket 12% life rare chest. The benefit would only be about some more dex and 100 more vit compared to a perfect rolled innas chest (which would be 200dex 100 vit 80 all res 3 socket 12% life +the 130 dex set bonus). So you would primary gain more EHP.

So until then the best way atm is to get the set bonus from innas chest and pants and get a 5+ critchance mempo.
If you use OWE or you only focus on dps and are kind of a glass canon you can also go with TR chest and a Mempo :=D

But i kind of agree that in many cases buying other items instead a mempo can be better. For example you can get more out of you money than buying a mempo without crit that just has a double roll primary stat. Some just buy it for the cool looks too or look up the top players/streamers and think it has to be a mempo ;D

posted a message on Nerf to WotB:ToC what are us Barbs going to do now? (New build to tryout)
The thrive on Chaos issue is bigger than just WW+RwtW though. Yeah, they could cut the proc rate on tornadoes again and leave the rest unchanged, and that might solve the issues for the Blender builds. You'd still have the same problem with perma-wrath HotA though and that's even easier to maintain than WW+RwtW.

Changing ToC to require 30, 35, 40 (whatever number works for their "ideal" uptime extension) fury gain for each second is the best way to stop permawrath the way they're talking without breaking current builds the way they stand. Builds will all still work, they just won't have 100% WotB uptime.

If you mess with Into the Fray, or the proc rate on RwtW (although this one wouldn't be the end of the world) then you damage the ability to do basic WW+RwtW outside of WotB too. HotA outside of WtoB is also damaged if you mess with fury gain from Into the Fray. It doesn't sound like either of those builds in and of themselves are what the devs want to change so I'd prefer if they modified ToC itself to achieve this.

    -dolynick

Yes. I also think it is the best do adjust the fury spent numbers for toc to make it harder to keep it up. I also thought about reducing the cc immunity to say 50% reduced cc but this wouldnt actually help because it would not help to make other runes better :D

Remind me how I made this personal and a pissing contest about gear? Might aswell do it ingame while we play a few rounds of a3.
Well i think that we can agree that we dont get on well with each other. Lets just keep it that way :) Gl finding some good legendarys though!

And why do you say that i only recently started playing again? My barb has better gear than your 260k dps barb lol

Because you said so yourself in your first few posts.

Well i already wasted enough time with this thread. Wish you all a nice day and im back playing d3. HF

I don't have any good comebacks for that last remark other than, please do show.

I really dont know why it would matter, why we have to compare our e-peen and we already are way offtopic here. It was also you who made this personal. But if you really want to see my barb. Here you go:

The post from me that you quoted meant that i would continue my current run. I play with 2 monitors and read the forum on the left monitor. It may sounded awkward because as i said english is not my first language and i cant articulate that good as i would like sometimes.

What difference does an opinion make when math proves it wrong? If you want to make outrageous claims like the insanity buff then atleast mention that you haven't given it more than a split second of thought. TOC provides the wrong kind of power up which is why they want to change the mechanic, end of story.

I'm actually doing the opposite of 'always talking about trash' because its necessary since the general perception seems to be that a Skorn can only be used for this trash farming phenomenon. Before it there wasn't a single thread about even trying it for six months. Something you wouldn't have a clue about since you only recently started playing again.

Well if you couldnt see that i exaggerated the number of 200% then my bad... Maybe it is due to the fact that english is not my native language.

I really hope your not the same kind of person like moldran that puts out his calculator and calculates for example the exp gain per hour after he farmed 5 minutes in an area xD

This all seems like premature over-reacting. They haven't even said when or how they MIGHT change it; just that they've been looking at it and it's on their wishlist to address at some point down the road. It's not 1.08. It may not even be 1.09. Any change is at least 3 months away yet.

Secondly, MP10 without WotB is perfectly doable for a barb. I manage just fine with multiple builds. It's slower sure (ToC adds about a x1.5-x2 eDPS multiplier ontop of everything), but that's the idea behind WotB in the first place. I personally don't think you're ready for MP10 (and shouldn't be in there) if you can't at least manage it without ToC propping you up. WotB should be about going into overdrive mode when needed, not a crutch to make the MP level even feasible for you. I have way more respect to a War Cry using HotA barb I see trudging his way through an MP10 game than I do for most of the raging idiots I usually see running off 3 screens ahead because if they lose their wrath they can't stay alive.

I can see perfectly well where Travis Day and the dev team are coming from. WotB, well ToC specifically, is just too alluring. That extra x1.5 or x2 eDPS without the hassle of Frozen or Nightmare is just so hard to pass up. You do feel like you're not optimal when you don't use it. Without perma-wrath though I may drop it entirely. I have little use for a skill that's active 15 seconds out of 120. The other runes don't really interest me much because of that. I think they should increase the duration to at least 30 seconds and cut the cooldown to 90 seconds, for starters. I'm not sure what to suggest for ToC itself aside from just increasing the fury require for each second of extension.

My biggest worry about all of this is that they change Into the Fray instead of WotB-ToC itself. If they do that then they mess with so much more than just the permawrath issue that they seem to be targetting.

    -dolynick

    Couldnt agree more +1

buffing doesnt mean just damage... could mean utility or in some other form... an easy example would be if lets say weapon throw:ricochet was buffed to generate more fury it would make it a viable spec for a seismic slam fury spender or some other ranged fury spender...
another example if any of the whirlwind skills didnt gimp running so much they would be nice alternatives and you could maybe dispose of WW/sprint:RLTW combo for some other skill...
In some cases utility is more important than dps.

And thats exatly why toc is too strong atm. It combines a steadily dmg increase with awesome utility.
