Tried this for 2 runs last night, was much slower than the whirlnado build with my gear other than butcher. Had a few deaths on a champ where I was in bad position and thought I could facetank it... no such luck.
Income was only about 80k/hr, so need a better farming strategy or something.
I usually go Festering woods (2 caves, check for event) -> Leorics -> the area just next to Leorics to make sure 5 stack -> Crypts -> Halls lvl 2 -> Cursed Hold -> ruins to check for cellar.
Checked the AH.. seeing 700 dps weapons with LOH for 10-20 million and I can't even sell decent lvl 62s for 10k on the AH. /sigh
That's basically how I worked through Act 1 and I probably still have my shield kicking around. Seems like it was slower than the whirlnado build though. I can try that again.
I can farm Act I easily enough, usually with 0-2 deaths per run. The trouble is that over a few Act I runs I may make 200k or so, which can take a few hours, and generally I don't find any items that will sell at AH. Generally everything gets vendored as I need the cash.
I have 40k HP, about 450 AR, 45ish %crit, but my character dps is only 13k, mostly due to my low dps offhand.
Should I continue to farm Act 1 or should I progress toward Act 3? I know my stats are low for Act 3, but I'm mostly getting lvl 55-58 items in Act 1 with 5 stack and I'm not making nearly enough gold to buy any upgrades anytime soon.

p.s. Build advice is always welcome, but I use the bash/instigation & WoTB/insanity variant for goblins and other instances where my dps is too low.

That's basically what I've been doing, was hoping there was a better method but it appears maybe not.
It's only been a few days that I've been looking but even a blue 800+dps weapon is several million, and that's with no LOH.
