I would suggest Life after Kill and LoH. Even on mp10 my scoundrel does not die very often now.
I seriously doubt your follower will get anywhere near enough kills to profit from Life on Kill. LoH on the other hand is very useful, of course.

I believe your kills count too... at least that's the way it seems. I may be wrong (no "science to back it, just my feel)... but when I melt a pack w/ EP, my scoundrel goes from almost nothing to full health the blink of an eye.

I've tried having followers add DPS as I thought a follower with 10-20k DPS would be similar to a 10-15% increase of my own DPS (about 100k back then).

I was dead wrong. They simply don't have the "250% weapon dmg AoE" skills that the heroes have, nor any way of casting multiple skills in sinergy, hence their dps is immensely subpar (compared to heroes). Even if we could get followers to 40-50k DPS I probably still wouldn't use them that way.

I'd say Crowd Control + Survivability is definitely the best way of gearing a follower nowadays. LoH works wonders for the Scoundrel.

I would suggest Life after Kill and LoH. Even on mp10 my scoundrel does not die very often now.

Considering buying this one. Is it worth it putting a bid in at this price? How much will it be driven up?... I can maybe afford 300M.

Just b/c I need to respond to the useless thread I started...

I believe the reason I felt that BL was outperforming TC w/ Lifesteal is b/c with BL the lightning dmg comes w/ every 3rd strike (instead of every strike w/ TC). So it "felt" superior b/c I saw an instant jump in life instead of the relatively more gradual (and superior) life steal w/ TC.

As far as group play, most of my RL friends are WW barbs (of couse). Is it pretty friendly for most classes/builds?

Yup it really is. Its really good in the fact that it clumps monsters together. Especially if you use the 34 yd rune. I run with a WD alot and its great for him because it keeps monsters packed tight and allows his Zombie Bears to own. I also run with another monk and a properly timed Cyclone on a monster thats about to explode from Exploding Palm will kill even the toughest packs.

Good stuff! Thanks! I will definitely be trying this out w/ my friends when I'm done drinking lol.

How does a CS based build "play"? I hate to boil "play" down to "how much effort is involved" b/c I don't mind more active play, but at the same time I don't like playing a concerto piano either.

I'm curious in alt builds and this is very intriguing. Without writing a guide, can you describe HOW you play a little more? Any other skills you have tried in your current build? Have any vids online?

LOL, sorry for all the questions btw.

Sorry, but the best part of the vid was HOW SAD YOU LOOKED for about 30 seconds.

But I hope they fix this BS too. ASAP

Thanks for the responses. This all makes sense. I'm sure it doesn't help that I often drink a few beers while playing lol.

I personally use Quickening. I need the mana regen to spam my Overawe Mantra and Cyclone. Im very surprised you dont see alot more of people using Cyclone.

Using that build I farm MP9 very effeciently and was ablo to drop Serenity Breath Of Heaven/Blazing Wrath for a DPS boost.

Ive tried BL but I run out of Mana way to quickly.

Are you sure you mean Cyclone? Isn't that probably the 1st or 2nd most popular skill?

Anyway, yes there are several cons w/ BL vs TC if you're using FoT. I'm primarily interested in how life steal works w/ BL vs TC. Again, it "seems" like I'm able to recoup much more life using BL... problem is, I can't seem to find ANYONE talking about BL on the internets.

BL seems to have been abandoned by the greater monk community some time ago. I've been playing around with it in combo w/ other spirit generators and have been pleasantly surprised by damage and life steal. I would love to continue my trek away from the cookie cutter builds.

I can only speak anecdotally, but I feel I'm able to survive longer using BL instead of TC (despite losing the teleport). My ability to plow through enemies seems roughly equal.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?... is it just in my head?

How do the actual mechanics of BL work? I've been messing around w/ a WKL and the bonus damage has felt pretty awesome. TIA

posted a message on Diablo 3 Loot Servers - > Easy Legendary Drops?
    Quote from apox777

So I decided about a week ago to try this out just for kicks. I find it quite funny people even believe this but here are my test results on a typical act3 run. I however wanted to also show the so called "bad servers" according to the OP. Here ya go!

    Run1 @ 76 = 11, i63 (all of them sucked)
    Run2 @ 114 = 17, i63 (1 decent ring)
    Run3 @ 68 = 8, i63 (all of them sucked)
Run4 @ 213 = 1, Legendary and 24, i63 (would you look at that its the crappy high server?)
    Run5 @ 143 = 1, Legendary and 13, i63 (hmmm?)
    Run6 @ 78 = 19, i63 (utter crap)
    Run7 @ 92 = 14, i63 (utter crap)
    Run8 @ 4 = 22, i63 (one decent gear)
    Run9 @ 113 = 1, Legendary and 31 i63 (made about 100 mil here)
    Run10 @ 201 = 1, Legendary and 17, i63 (Jordans Ring)
    Run11 @ 74 = 8, i63 (worse run ever)
    Run 12 @ 178 = 47, i63 (got a couple decent rare drops)

I haven't had much time this week but so far this is what I have recorded. People please stop thinking that "loot servers" even are real. It really just gives most people a good laugh. To be honest all this was quite funny and at least gave me something to do than just grind away so thanks for the post. As you can see I got best drops from the worse servers? Yeah folks RNG is RNG not IP wise.

What say you now Bulgarian OP?
