The major difference is that in D2 progression wasn't tied to an infinite scaling difficult content. And it make the whole thing completely different.
You did endless Baal- and Diabloruns in Diablo 2. This was your highly praised endgame ... Now you do speeds and in the end you try to push as far as your grinding allows you. The same in Diablo 2: the more time you invested, the better was your result ... there is no difference.
As you said, in D2 you had boss/farm runs, over and over and over. In D3 you have GRs runs, over and over and over. Both grinds and farms. But in D2, no matter the build/character you had, you could do it and you could find gear to support your own build and make your character stronger.
In D3, gear is thrown at you and everyone reaches the same plateau very fast. Then if you have the right class/build you can just progress further than anybody else because the only progression left is Paragon (LOL) and Legendary gems. The wrong/less optimal build will make you go only so far then you're locked into lower GRs with nothing to hunt for but +5 mainstat after some playtime.
The grind is not the issue. The way the grind is done is the issue.
Side note: GRs per se are not bad. The fact everyone needs to push as high as possible to progress with their char (due to Paragon and Gems) makes everyone focus only on the strongest builds because why bothering with something that cannot let you be as powerful as other people.
D3 structure is flawed at the core. WHile ladders are interesting only for a few people, there's zero incentive to play the char/build you like because you'll just be less powerful. Fight mechanics can be difficult without infinite scaling and character progression could be not tied to GRs,
But again, expecting something good now from D3 is kinda hard honestly.

I think a new patch is more likely, but it has to contain really ground breaking changes otherwise D3 will get stale in a matter of few weeks.
If they are going for another expansion... i hope it will be on the scale of LotV that basically changed the economy gameplay and went stand alone.
It could use the same assets but we really need to go away with main stat grind and insane set multipliers.

Yeah, he just keeps riding over his name and past legacy. I guess it's a good life, first Blizzard invites him probably for a video interview for the 20th anniversary of Diablo, now GGG (or Tencent) "hires" him as advisor just because he is David Brevik... I know he did some others games, but he kinda is a one hit wonder at this point.

A not opened chest is a lost chance for a Forgotten Soul!

I wanted to do Master of the Universe but Wastes set dungeon is retarded then i realized: "I'm an idiot, i can easily gamble two sets for another class and faceroll my way for Years of War!" And that's what i did. Piece of cake.

And i remember complains about season 2 being too short...

In my opinion this top 10 sounded whiny instead of constructive. The bunch of "really" "reasons" and other ironic words i would say because i'm a common peasant poster with mediocre writing skill but not as a quality content creator for this game.
Not that i disagree with most of your points (hi trial, hi crafting material; which i exhausted everyone of them, thanks Myriam; hi monster experience), a couple of them are just nitpicking like season items and progression globes; yeah, i think those are the two i just don't agree, or more correctly i don't care. Probably, because i'm not pushing for leaderboard and i'm just farming GR 43-45 based on my luck (which is a paradox) on trials, i can understand why stuff like pylons. which are more common now from my experience, bad elite placement, which i hate too, and unavoidable damage, which kills the player skill, are annoying and indeed a serious problem.
From my gameplay stand point i think gems are more of a problem in this game, but with no easy fix until ANOTHER itemization overhaul or the fact that builds are tied to full sets and there is basically no room for regular legendaries, minus a couple of slots, and CC-CHD uber alles. But as i said, i lack the writing skills to make a constructive discussion and i'll stop my rant here.
Back on video, you raised some good problems that should be fixed, but i'd rather hear or read a full thought on those than a list full of "why?" "really?".

Yeah, because botting for a Furnace or Paragon Exp at the start of a season doesn't help getting a rank on leaderboards. Sure, you need to play the Grift yourself, but you already got an advantage over legit players, if any are still playing for the endgame, because the botter could "play" 24/7.
But you know, if it doesn't effect you, it doesn't anyone, right?

Your best bet is indeed sending a mail to hacks@blizzard.com. From my experience, the in game report function is bloody useless, i used it for a month to report a bot and nothing happened, then i sent a mail to the address and in 24 the bot was banned and then rolled back after the ban was lifted.
