posted a message on Diablo 3 Loot Servers - > Easy Legendary Drops?
    Quote from Polrayne

I've done a bunch of runs for about seven hours - all of them on servers with an even number and below 100. Nothing. Not a set item, not a legendary, maybe 2 or 3 rares that should sell for 200k or so a piece.

When I read that people are finding legendary items, set pieces on a semi-regular basis - meaning THEY FIND THEM - I'm just done with this aweful game. Please, save the RNG crap. If you can't open your eyes to the fact that there are hidden weights and controls to who gets loot and who doesn't, than enjoy you apparently good standing and call it lucky RNG. Whatever. You'll enjoy this shit-tastic game. I'm done with it for now.

Like so many disenfranchised players of this crapfest of a game, they will read the patch notes and get lured back in, and hopefully not repeat the same shit-storm of boring, unrewarding gameplay.

I'm so pissed that I've invested so much time, money and energy into this game. And by money I mean buying the collectors edition and being stoked for 3 years for this game to come out to have such a pathetic excuse of a game served to us.

    GG.

Then something cool drops and you'll put another few hundred hours into the game. Save it bub, we're on to you.

I dunno, i was a skeptic but i got on server 78 and got a nice set of Ice Runner boots in keep depths 2 with just one neph stack and 180 mf overall. The rest of the run most of my rares were 60 and up. maybe I was just lucky for once but I think it's legit. I guess it's just empirical evidence but I'm more of a beliver now. :D

I make the most money by selling good gear I've found but really, all you need to do is just play and you'll rake in the gold over time. I made over a million gold just from picking it up off the ground and vendoring junk after playing Act 3 all weekend.

I was having a streak of bad luck but this weekend I found a set of Zunnimassa's boots with a good roll (sold for 15 million) and two legendaries that were meh. Got a few good rares as well that I was able to sell for 500k or more.

You just have to play and keep playing - don't worry so much about the drops as they will come in due time.

I just hit paragon 20 and I only run with about 225 mf with 5 stacks so I don't go crazy with the MF like some do though I do switch over to all my MF gear when leets and bosses die.

It's very important to get your paragon levels up so that's what I'm focusing on at this time.

*edit: I just wanted to add how much I play for reference. During the week I probably play 3 hours a day after work and the weekend I play around 6 or 7 hours. Always Act 3 - sometimes full clears, sometimes just certain areas and some pub play mixed in to keep things more interesting.

Well, they have to fix the game if they want their expansions to sell. Simple.

A broad statement... what exactly is broken?

Sounds quite sincere to me and I hope everybody can put this behind them. I think Jay has a lot of passion for his work and the work of his team and regardless of what you think about the game or Jay himself, he has every right to defend his baby. He shouldn't have posted what he did on Facebook as social media is a double-edged sword and the context changed once the post was outed.

Adults tell other adults to F off all the time - hell I do it at work too but in more polite terms usually. It's irrelevant if you think Jay is nice or ought to be nice, etc. Doesn't matter - he's not paid to be a nice guy, he's paid to do a job and he's human so when you mix stress with tight deadlines and constant feedback from external sources, it can result in minor transgressions.

Personally I don't care if these guys take out full page ads in the NY Times telling eachother to F*!$ themselves and email eachother's mothers links to lemonparty as long as they don't lose sight of the big picture. Everything else is just blowing off steam.

I actually can not think of anything positive
So what do you guys think?

I think that's your problem right there. Constant negativity will eat at you like a cancer.

I don't have time to rebuttal more posts, but what positive can you think of by this system? The only positive is a temporary fix to bring back players. There isn't much except negative in long term planning. This system potentially can hurt future expansion packs. A system like this punish new players or can potentially punish existing players' hard work when expansion pack hits. I will go into more details later.

I just want to note that we're having this discussion to put a light on a pot

I just want to note that we're having this discussion to put a light on a potential issue. I personally find the paragon level fine, except I just foresee terrible consequences of it down the road. We want to plan long term for diablo 3 and not short term. It might be fun now, but can cause dire consequences later when the real fix is decided.

Just enjoy it for what it is and don't worry about the future (That's Bliz's problem) - just work on progressing your P levels and change things up once in a while. Maybe help noobs fight bosses or try some AH buying and reselling, buy (or find) some plans and craft for people... there are plenty of things to do in the game. I love playing pub games and experiencing other people's builds and to me that's fun. Bend with the wind my friend otherwise you're liable to break.

Disc regen is 3 per second, not 2. The set adds 2 to the already existing 1. This is what my stats tell me when I have my set equipped anyway.

Even with the lower DPS it's extremely useful and if you add the CD skill to restore all discipline then you can tank stuff like a mad man even if you're a one hit wonder.

I think they spiked about a week ago and brimstones were going for 400k. I have a feeling that plans will be like everything else in that people's expectations are going to be too high.

We can't really expect an ilvl 61 1-hander to be 1200 dps, can we? That would just destroy the market and the game.

The market has already been destroyed. Every lvl 60 legendary goes for 400k even its piece of junk.

Goes for does not mean sells for. Big diff there.

<== is not happy with dh changes at all, was hoping they would address surviviability in SOME way/shape/form.

I'm apprehensive, myself. I don't like the way DH in particular has very little survivability outside of short-term 'oh crap' buttons. Perhaps they're hoping that snares/slows from the new and improved generators will keep us out of harm's way.

waiting for full patch notes before i pick up my pitchfork and torch and start walkin my way to bliz hq tho

May I suggest that you pitch D3 and fork over some money for Torchlight 2? See what I did there? I did a thing. DO YOU SEE IT?

<-- has already pre-ordered Torchlight 2. Because awesome games should be played.

How do you know TL2 is awesome? Frankly I don't care for cartoony games so I probably won't play TL2 or GW2 for that reason. Same reason I don't play WOW.
