Hey guys and gals. Quick question. I have Diablo II and LOD on my old comp (which barely works), and I want to put it on my new computer for nastalgia/boredom playing. But I'm missing one of the install CD's apparently for D2. Is there a way to download it from bnet? or a website that has it for like $5? Just wondering. Want to get my chars up and running to see the grainy awesomeness! Thanks.
I'll be interested to see how the extra stats help out. For a barb, having an extra 300 strength and 200 vitality (I think you get 3str/1dex/1int/2vit per level) will make it easier to not need godly gear in later Inferno. Not saying it'll be a huge bonus, but at least we're seeing SOME sort of progression after we hit 60.
I was also semi interested in this. I feel like I'm being waaaay too cautious so far in HC, and i'm not even lvl 20 yet. Yet I'm pretty sure none of my SC chars ever died in normal, and probably the majority of NM. But like a lot of posters say, better safe than sorry.
I'm just very surprised that they made sets THIS rare. I mean in D2, I remember finding low lvl sets in a1 normal! And it was soooo cool at the time!! I've got 200+hours, with 2 chars in inferno, and zero sets..... come on RNG! Daddy needs a new pair of green shoes!
My 3 wishes would be simple, as I am rather happy with the game right now.
1. Make lower level sets/uniques more readily available. Since they are not end game gear, who cares if they're more common than lvl60 uniques/sets.
2. Improved Hireling A.I. All I'm asking is for them not to 'stand in the poop' and die in 1.5 secs in Inferno, and for them not to shoot first at treasure goblins (or maybe mobs in general). I hate seeing a goblin, planning my attack route (to send him running away from possible mobs), then realizing my Enchantress is already lobbing magical bombs at him.
3. Allow Neph Valor to carry over from act to act. Nothing more disheartening than running through a1, killing everything, getting 5 stacks, killing the butcher, then appearing in a2 with nada. Come on! (although lore wise, the travel time from act to act may be more than 30 minutes? haha)
Adios amigo. Your house could burn down, and blizzard would still refuse to restore any lost HC chars. Time to restart! And only play with people you know! That way you know the banner is always safe if you ask.
Barbarian FTW! Get right up in the enemies face, and smash them with a giant weapon! Plus they're just a super fun class to play with tons of options for dmg as well as survivability! I've got a 60 SC barb, and a lvl 15 barb so far. Tons of fun, but as poster above stated, I am also a barbarian type player, so may be biased.
I never thought that something as simple as Nephalem Valor would be so addicting! Now that I've got 2 characters at lvl 60, each game becomes a race to 5 stacks of NV, then killing everything in my path for extra loot! No other game has created such an addicting idea where I have to keep playing once I've started! I just wish it would apply to chests and vases too! Make 5 stacks feel even more fantastic! Just throwing that out there!
P.S. Why stop at 5 stacks? Maybe starting in a3 inferno, let it go up to 10+ stacks????
I have a 60 DH, and a Wiz that is getting there. I had A LOT more fun with the DH, both in leveling, and in Inferno content (only starting a2 so far). I feel that there is more flexibility between the DH builds. I can switch between several skills every time I start a new game, and it results in new strategies, and new challenges. The wizard feels kinda bland in my opinion, because I don't really feel like MY character is doing any damage, just spells I place around the map. Whereas the DH shoots stuff in the face. Hard.
