Bagstone posted a message on Kripp and Alkaizer talk about Diablo 3Thanks for posting, it just reminds me again why I don't like these people. Extreme elitist behavior, all this "I want more complexity", "I hate casuals", "Blizzard is shit they just want to make money" (HAHAHAHA and this coming from people who made thousands just through a Blizzard game?), and the worst thing in the end: "just throw some random shit out and let people like me take the shit abilities and turn it into something awesome". Well, guess what, whenever I see these "uber players" like Kripp and co. they play the same stupid boring builds that everyone and their dog is using, why doesn't he just take one of the shit abilities in D3 and create a build around it? He certainly has the time, gear, and resources.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
It's so sad that people actually help them earning money. -

Some form of PvP would be better than nothing. See my original post where I mention people will flip a shit if no PvP came out at all.Quote from GInthrilPvp? are you serious? they spent that whole time trying to figure something out when at the end of it all they just let you duel anyways.
Retards are also customers. And I don't condone calling players retarded when many of them fit in categories like: just not game-adept, 60-hour work weeks and can't focus on the game, focused on education and play casually, etc. Let's not forget why they implemented Monster Power selection. So you don't feel "retarded" when playing on "Inferno."Quote from GInthrilNerfing difficulty so that retards could play inferno?
With any sort of math and theorycrafting, there will always be some sort of build or combination of skills that dominate the others. Same with other games; Final Fantasy RPGS - some equipment and skill selection will outshine the rest no matter how else you attempt to tackle the games.Quote from GInthrilor balancing skills and tweaking them so that each class had 1 or 2 speccs that are viable to farm with? The whole point of this "new" skill system was so that there were builds that were competetive with each other excepth there are a handful that dominate the system.
Do you prefer pre-1.04 legendaries? I'd prefer to brim 50% more often rather than 90% of legendaries you see once in a blue moon.Quote from GInthrilBuffed drop rates of legendaries and new legendaries? half of which are instant brimmed regardless of roll. The other half have to roll decent to sell for anything or be even worth using.
Perhaps you've never attempted to do ubers just for fun. Or to socialize with some friends while doing a run. Or have you never found anything that dropped from ubers other than a chance mat under MP10? Like any other boss or elite, they can drop a ton of high-potential loot other than mats. I don't use a Hellfire, yet I still do uber runs for fun.Quote from GInthrilUbers and hellfire ring? theres no reason to do ubers after you acquire a somewhat decent hellfire...the least they couldve done is buffed ubers to the point where we could still farm them for other things.
Leveling in an RPG? Oh, my. Yes, they can get rid of MF. But you can still use MF until you reach paragon 100. Half of D3 farming for paragon? Paragon is one mere aspect of the game. I personally deliberately farmed for paragon when I felt like it. Other times paragon EXP was just a bonus to what I focused on, which was farming for loot or socializing with friends in-game. And efficiency is yet just another aspect of the game; a strategy if you will. Do you forget that some people actually try to play this game for fun? Yes, Act III is by far the most "efficient," but are you not allowed to farm anywhere else? No one said, "No, you are not allowed to farm Act IV because it's a stupid act."Quote from GInthrilParagon? you mean a system that added extra "exp" bars and levels just so they could get rid of MF in the long run? if thats the case then why is it that we still have MF in the game?. Half of the Diablo 3 player base finds themselves farming for paragon levels which if you wanna be efficient at is just running A3 over and over again. Blizzard needs to make drastic AND minor changes to this game. Now with 1.0.7 out we can actually farm Act 2 VOA....well done....bravo. What about Act 1 and Act 4? Garbage acts for farming anything efficiently. We should be able to farm across acts with somewhat comparative results but Act 3 dominates by FAR.
Please do, and at least you admitted that your entire rant is just a flaming mass of QQ.Quote from GInthrilI could keep going and going and going. but i'll stop there.
And if you can't open your eyes to see how far this game has evolved since May 2012, I can't help you there. You can be miserable if that's what you want. Meanwhile, I, along with many others, will enjoy the game for what it is right now and just look forward to any additional improvements they can tack on. -

Quote from Chonaire
Well, It is fucking stupid that we're capped at 375% mf + follower mf, 4 days ago, I did a couple runs, ended up with 21 legendaries in 3 days, Now, I've been farming with 403% mf (no nagelring for my follower, does anyone have one, anyways? paying 300mil on eu for 30% mf one ) - NO legendaries for 16 FULL clears of act 3, this means, killing every, single. fucking. mob in the whole frikkin act. 400% mf is too low. I could kill everything with 2k dps, just give me a better chance for loot. ffs. If they even added an item with -99% all stats, + 6k mf, I'd be happy, very, very, very fucking happy.
My understanding was that you can't pass 375% MF. Once you cap at 375 with stats and gear your Followers MF no longer applies beyond that 375 cap. Did I misread something somewhere? Swore I saw a blue post on it.
The 375 cap includes follower MF. Currently the stat page is displaying follower MF as if it did not get counted into that cap. It will be fixed in the future. -

st0rmie posted a message on Really disappointed with D3 going normal to nightmareThis is why it is impossible for any game developer to tune a difficulty level that makes everyone happy.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The point they've tuned it at now has some players virtually falling asleep playing through normal and nightmare and sometimes even hell, whilst others honestly find those difficulty levels too difficult. Hell, I even remember early after release a thread on the forums that started with one player who quite honestly declared that he was disappointed with D3 because normal-mode Belial was literally impossible for him to beat.
p.s. if you "don’t have time to obsess over [your] character build".. if it's any consolation, when I got to the point where I really felt that I'd hit the wall, it took no more than five minutes of forum browsing and a couple of skill changes to get me moving forward again. I guarantee you that you can make things a lot easier without having to get into Elitist Jerks levels of spreadsheet crunching.
Similarly, I would say that unless you are deliberately aiming for a challenge mode - and it doesn't sound like you are - just go to the AH and buy a few pieces. At your level, even a few thousand gold will buy you massive upgrades. I'm not telling you to bust out the credit card and buy your way to power, just go an buy a weapon with double the DPS of your current one. You'll probably find hundreds of them for sale for not much more than their vendor price.
I understand that some people aren't happy about this game design decision, but as Blizzard said, loot drops are tuned around the idea that the AH is there for trading, if you choose not to use it you are deliberately choosing to play a challenge mode. It's probably on par with playing hardcore rather than regular mode. -

I'm with you on the fact that I wanted an offline mode, and I also believe this model was chosen mainly as a form of drm.Quote from Necro4Ever
Until Blizzard fixes everything, inluding the obnoxious, unneccesary, and just laughably ridiculous requirement that players be logged on to play, I as a paying customer can complain all I want. As do millions of other, just look at the Amazon reviews.
However, what some are trying to make sure you understand is: first, the ship has already sailed, the game has been released like this, and it is extremely unlikely that we're going to get an offline mode any time; second, you can definitely vent off and complain, but doing so will hardly ever get positive reactions, mostly because of the very small chance of actually affecting the game design at this point (and some people are very tired of seeing others complain about the game, you must understand that); third, doing so in a somewhat arrogant tone ("financial compensation for every compensation") is even more likely to get negative reactions out of the community. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

In terms of the RMAH you aren't forced to use it. You can sit in your single player games and ignore the world all you want. People don't force you to do anything other then that. I know plenty of very casual people who have made a good chunk of change because of a little luck. To most people its just an added bonus to be able to profit off of enjoying thier hobby. You must be a busy fella though to have your finger on the pulse of every person interested in this game, so what do I know.
Finally... get over yourself. You are welcome to complain and I wouldn't take that away from you. However the over the top way you choose to do it hurts your case more then it helps it. Also when did the 2,784 reviews (that includes the good and the bad) on Amazon equate to millions? Might want to do some number checking there.
