I find it very strange that you have played all the way to Paragon lvl 58 with that gear and not buying a single item since you initial 8m investment. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but your gear is in serious need of upgrading and just 50m of those 350m would have made a world of difference.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep

This is a very fun build indeed.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
I have changed Stomp to Leap(Death from Above) the idea is the same, but this gives me more mobility.
I am using 2H and I don't have 5 IK and this works wonders. The trick is to charge and leap as much as possible to keep the fury coming.
MP0 is extremely fun because it is so active and monsters are exploding left and right. Zones fly by in a mix of charge/leap/sprint/ww, all skills that are very mobile, so it feels like the game is played at a much higher speed than normal.
My profile if anyone is interested at a sort of mid tier gear level where this is very doable:

I've spent the entire evening messing around with different builds, mostly variations of WW, with my gear they were either not self-sustaining (not enough fury) or too fragile (without WotB) or too stressful (with WotB). In the end I gave a variation of this a shot and I love it!Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
This is currently my variation of it, but I expect to fine tune it tomorrow, when I get a chance to try it against more combinations of elite packs, so I can see where it falls short.
Leap(Death from Above)
Battle Rage(Into the Fray)
War Cry (Impunity)
Leap -> Rend (life leach) -> Hammer -> Revenge when it procs
I thought it would be hard to sustain 2 * 20 fury skills, but it really isn't. With Thunderstrike and Death from Above most normal packs never break stun and quite often almost the same for elite packs if there are random mobs nearby.

Nice guide and video.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
I've been contemplating whether to farm Act3 with progression gear or get MF gear for Act1.
Even though you got a lot of rares, you are getting a massive amount of crappy <ilvl61 rares. Even ilvl61 very rarely comes up with useful stats as the ranges of stats are too low. So all in all only 1/10 is ilvl62-63, so your 40 rares only yields 4 potentially sellable rares.
To get 4 ilvl62-63 rares from Act3 you need to find 12 rares. I guess that corresponds to around 10-12 bosses depending on luck. I think that can be done faster than 1 hour in progression gear, considering the expense of getting useable MF gear.

Posted in: Monk: The Inner SanctuaryQuote from DuriDurlag
Single resistances is viable and from my experience the much cheaper route because most people go the double resistance way.
This quote may be obvious, but it makes me want to resurrect my lvl 57 monk. I retired him as I didn't bother to waste so much money on annoying resist gear for yet another char. But focusing on single resist exclusively, may make it feasible to get decent gear at a reasonable price.

I am personally getting rid of my resist now in favor of Strength and Armor.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
This is increasing my DPS a lot and the Strength adds pretty good armor.
From an item budget side it is preferable to improve Resist All and Armor together, but Resist All is such a high value stat that anything with Resist All is going to be a lot more expensive than the equivalent with Armor instead. So from a value for money principle I think Armor is better to focus on, though you will still need some pieces with Resist All.

How the hell do you guys kill anything in Act3 with 380-400 MF? Do you wear crappy mf gear and die a lot or do you switch at the end of every elite kill or do you wear good gear with MF (which is vare hard to find and extremely pricey)?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
