Yes. On application it can either crit or hit.

If Crit: all ticks act as if it crit(still in white text, but increased based on crit dmg)

If hit: ticks normal and will not take crit dmg into effect.

Simple as that nothing else is true thats how it works. That is also how Trail of Cinders works for DH(who can leave sharpshoot up at 100% and have it always "crit")

That's not even possible... it has to be a bot though.

Paragon level 1-6 is more XP required than 1-60 in total.

Paragon level 99-100 is the same as doing 1-60 6 times.

You're talking 10,454,400,000+ XP for 1-100. With 75% NV buff, it would take 1,327,543 mlvl 63 Monsters from 0 to 100. Assuming you killed 1 mob per second, every second, none stop, it would take you 15 days of non stop killing. Obviously that's not possible, so if we assume 1 kill per 3 seconds, that's 45 days of doing it 24/7.

1 week is literally impossible. 2 weeks is also effectively impossible.
If bots are doing this 24/7, it'll be a month and a half.

When you get 25-28m exp per act 3 run and you clear it in under 1 hour its easy. I have done like 5 act 3 clears(maybe 6 i dont remember and im almost lvl 13). Thats not that much work to level.

posted a message on My Butthurt - Disheartened from lack of legendaries
    Quote from Atrumentis

So I have played over 160 hours of gameplay across two characters, I'm up to act III inferno, and I have never once found a legendary or set item.

I know that making legendaries very rare is good for the AH economy and whatnot, but it has the massive side effect of causing me to be incredibly disheartened and I have pretty much given up playing.

Every day I would log in and do some inferno runs and think "Today! Today is the day I will finally find a legendary item", but it never came. I am sick of doing runs and have gone back to playing LoL.

I enjoy collecting legendary/unique items for the sake of collecting them and having cool items, not necessarily for the stats so I don't care if rares are better than legendaries anyway. You can't collect items when the total is infinite in number (as is with rares).

I feel that something is not right when I go through the whole game without finding one legendary, let alone go through the whole game three and a half times. I hate games that force me to farm, so it's already a compromise that I do it for Diablo, but I just can't do it anymore. I need to be rewarded at incremental stages or I get bored and quit.

I'm not going to use the AH because I hate it and I want to earn my items, not buy them.

Sure, other people have found legendaries, but I haven't, and there's something wrong with that and now my butt hurts.

    Disappointedly,

    Atru

    :(

Almost every legendary and set item suck in this game.

STOP WORRYING ABOUT NOT LOOTING ANY...hell you have a better chance at making gold by NOT getting them.

I have found 28 legendaries and 12 set items. every single fucking one was a peice of living shit. All Ilvl 58+ and all blew complete chunks. That is worse than not finding any imo.

I am pretty sure I salvaged at least 75% of those and sold the rest for like 300-400k each which is stupid when i daily find a rare or 2 to sell for 15m+

Jello how are you staying alive with those stats? Do you kite with your tornadoes? i.e. not whirlwinding for dmg

Depends on the pack. I only farm Act 3. Stonefort > All 3 Keep levels > Bunker/Fortified Bunker > clear all fields then seigebreaker then finish the whole act from there.

The only things I have to be really careful with is Occultists and Moloks.

Most packs I can just sprint and whirlwind through packs and never really drop too low. Most of what I do is never kill trash intentionally. I use trash as a way to heal to full while kiting elites(if it is a pack I need kited). With Slaughter on Wrath I can usually find 2 elite packs and kite them together and blow everything up at once. If I get scorpions or fallen ones or those big demos with 1 mace I can just kill them by aoeing all over them...they hit for nothing. Other packs I just kite 2-4 packs together and slaughter them down in a few seconds.

For clearing I just whirlwind through trash and it dies to tornadoes as I continue on since mine crit for upwards for 28k+ at like .4 attack speed on them? Since I have quite a bit of IAS.

As for how many times i'll die in a full clear of what I stated I clear. My avg death count is 1-3 per run. Usually due to me being bad and overreaching what my low level of resist and healing can pull off or just a stupid set of packs like Jailer/Waller/Dese/Molten...without wrath up those are hell.

You probably indeed don't need LoH when you have 100k dps, since you will be killing monsters before they even touch you, but if you have 30k dps like most of us do, i'd say LoH is a must, without LoH you will have a hard time trying to survive.

Eh I did it with 8.4% life steal at 35k dps. Its doable its all in the kiting really, but yea having LoH def helps no doubt. I myself want some so I can be lazy when I farm instead of having to never mess up, but I started the game as a glass cannon 100k before sharpshoot DH then sold all my gear when 1.03 hit lol. So I am used to the don't get hit playstyle.

You don't "need" loh or life leech to be effective if you can kite really well and grab multiple elites together and Wrath of Zerker(Slaughter) them down in 2-4 seconds flat.

And when you can't collect a large group of elites or monsters in general?

Depends on the elite really. If it is something like scorpions or just melee mobs they are a joke and just kite in circles(unless you can whirlwind inside them if you have enough healing/resists). Most ranged mobs are annoying, but kiteable. With Boon I can usually just wrath on every elite pack I find or at least like 80% of them.

    Quote from Beefaaleaf

Jello, you are not the typical ww barb. Most have 1/3 the dps that you have so loh is more beneficial.

Grats on 100k tho, pretty insane :)

I guess, but I was running 8.4% life steal and no LoH with 35k dps when I first started this. Worked just fine.

there you go...didn't wana link the pic inside forum cuz its kinda big and looks stupid cuz i put it together in 30 seconds lol

im going for MF on every item so my dps prob won't go up anymore unless I get a really good MH...mine blows shit but w/e I found it and it was better tornado dmg than my old one.

CHD is usually gonna be the better choice in most cases since tornadoes is the main focus of your dmg. It scales better than Str at least from what I see in my gear.

Normal tornado hits for like 5-6k? maybe in my gear and crits are upwards of 30k avg is prob like 25k. Str doesn't seem to bring up the base tornado damage as much as just pure weapon dmg on your Main Hand does.

I'm curious as to how much LoH most tornado barbs are running with. I recently grabbed about 1k in LoH for my DW set and gave it a go, but the sustain was absolutely pathetic unless I was plowing through a screen full of monsters and getting tornado/overpower hits left and right. Lone elites, especially ranged, were a big problem. I tried swapping Overpower for Bash-Instigation as a fury gen, but stopping to top off fury, even momentarily, was a death-defying stunt.

Tbh I run 0 LoH and only 5.4% life steal and I don't run Bash or Overpower. I use Frenzy(Maniac) and have been since I started Whirlwind build back with like 30k dps and now im at 100k.

This includes my offhand in it...only cuz I was using it for another thread but yea.

Yea, dps is probably your biggest factor here.

You run more resist than myself and more overall healing.

    Thats my setup atm

That weapon is my offhand and I linked it for a reason.

You want to make sure your offhand is a HUGE stat stick. Offhand Dps means jack shit.

Tornadoes only do DPS on your Mainhand. So focus on getting a super hard hitter mainhand and a massive stat stick on your offhand.

Lifesteal / Life on hit on some of your gear is still good...tbh i barely have enough i just cant find upgrades or even slight downgrades with enough to be worth it atm.

Other than that its just the playstyle really.

I'm running bash instead of overpower at the moment, goblins are still a pain in the ass :)
But thanks for your response, I'm not totally retarded then!

You can also run Frenzy(Maniac). Which is also very good if you just throw in a Frenzy hit before the buff falls on bosses and etc. for 16% dmg increase while whirlwind/sprinting.

Atm running with Battle Rage and Warcry up.
    99.3k dps
    6400 armor
    600-737 resist
    5.4% life leech(no loh atm)
    51% crit chance
    460% crit dmg

using boon of bulkathos passive, but I use slaughter on mine since its literally broken op for killing 4 elite packs in 2 seconds flat.

Been using the same spec and ways since I had 35k dps and 33%ish crit.
