what bothers me, what happens with accounts that have number of characters, each with paragon levels, but none of them with para100? Even in summ of plevels not 100.
also i don't understand - only levels shared? Or what you pick (which abilities\perks you pick) are separate choices for all characters? Because you know, if you have 10 characters (12 with addon) you probably dont need every spare point spent towards 1-2 stats, while you playing characters with 3 different main stats (also you probably dont need str if you play dex\int based characters same ammount of time.)

Let's look at pricing of the standard editions of recent expansions made by Blizzard:

1. Heart Of The Swarm - 40$2. Mists Of Pandaria - 40$
3. Cataclysm - 40$4. Wrath Of The Lich King - 40$
5. The Burning Crusade - 40$As far as I remember, the exchange rate for Europe releases have never been higher than 1:1. Moreover, the usual pricing for Digital Deluxe edition was about 60$ and they all had collector's edition that cost 80$. Based on that, why do you think that RoS will cost 50-60$? I'm fairly convinced that Reaper of Souls retail prices will be as follows:

1. Standard Edition: 40$2. Digital Deluxe Edition: 60$
3. Collector's Edition: 80$There's literally no reason, beyond maybe the inflation, to think otherwise, however... even if Blizzard decided to take inflation into consideration, I would not expect the prices to go up more than 5$ on each of the editions.

What's the difference between standard edition and digital deluxe?

Digital Deluxe is like a Collector's Edition except you don't get a physical copy of the game and you don't get any of the physical bonuses. You get whatever Digital bonuses that come with the game, like say if you got Heart of the Swarm digital deluxe then you got Kerrigan wings for D3 and a pet for WoW.

Don't need something else to further discourage playing alternate characters.

I won't use it, but it is not a feature that is designed for me. I only play at home on my home internet.

Thanks for posting, it just reminds me again why I don't like these people. Extreme elitist behavior, all this "I want more complexity", "I hate casuals", "Blizzard is shit they just want to make money" (HAHAHAHA and this coming from people who made thousands just through a Blizzard game?), and the worst thing in the end: "just throw some random shit out and let people like me take the shit abilities and turn it into something awesome". Well, guess what, whenever I see these "uber players" like Kripp and co. they play the same stupid boring builds that everyone and their dog is using, why doesn't he just take one of the shit abilities in D3 and create a build around it? He certainly has the time, gear, and resources.

It's so sad that people actually help them earning money.

Obviously you're just venting frustration but..

You're criticizing two very smart personalities who are one of the few that hasn't given into the money and genuinely play games out of passion and won't accept half assed maneuvers. Trying to argue that either of these people are anything less than important pioneers of d3 is silly.

People who are very successful in the gaming community are either smart and extremely good at what they do, they have a very exploitable personality that anyone can manipulate to cause drama or the key feature of the stream is to distract the viewer from half ass content and instead reward them as frequently as possible with treats. I would like to see valid arguments that these two persons fit into any other description than the first one.

The video itself answers your question regarding building specs around shitty abilities. Its impossible to make something out of nothing, because of the chickenshit team refuses to add anything that isn't tested for months instead of making sure people have things to do and figure out what needs to be changed after smarter more active people have had a chance to test it out.

Congratulations, you're a text book example of exactly what the person you quoted is talking about.

That's cool, and they're very entitled to their own opinion. Doesn't necessarily mean their opinions carry more weight than anyone else's.

Fact of the matter is that its currently hip and cool to hate on D3, so these 2 will get a lot of "likes" and "follows". I'm not just talking about real criticisms of real problems, I'm talking about 95% of people who complain about the game on forums are going out of their way to make things up just to be upset and negative about.

What I don't really get is the game is \$60 dollars, has no subscription and has no micro-transactions. A typical game will give you anywhere from 40-80 hours of game play (guesstimate) and then its over. People like these guys have hundreds if not thousands of hours into D3, and then they talk about how much of a garbage game it is and whatnot. How do you put 100s of hours into a game if its "one of the biggest failures ever"?

And then to compare D3 to PoE is laughable. I can't directly criticize PoE because it is free to play, so it is what it is, but compared to D3 the game is rubbish.

At the end of the day, my loyalty will stay with D3....but i swear PoE is becoming more and more intriguing. It seems like the devs for that game sit around and listen to us here on this forum and try and fix all based off of what we say we want changed in D3. Constant new content, big changes, and a general sense that they are making the game for their players and not for themselves.... Boy that would be a nice feeling if Blizzard was humbled enough to appreciate that.

Right now it feels like itemization is so far gone there is no chance to save it without shifting focus to something else...unrelated like pony land.

PoE is such a poor game to actually play (the combat) that about the only thing they have to hang their hat on is "we'll put everything into our game that people complain about D3 not having".

The "problem" with ask the devs is that people expect it to be "Tell the Devs what to do and they will respond with exactly what you want to hear".

Just because of the RMAH I don't think Blizzard will ever do a full gear reset like is being described. The amount of negative backlash from people who have spend 10s or 100s or even 1000s of dollars on gear on the RMAH for it suddenly to have no value would dwarf the amount of negative criticism the game has received already.

That hasn't really stopped them in the past from doing stuff like nerfing Attack Speed. If you think about it the standard for gear has also completely changed since launch - think about the stuff that used to be really valuable before all the Inferno changes.

That is true, they have made some changes that have effected item value, but a complete economy reset would make every single item people have now worth the vendor gold of the item. When they nerfed attack speed it certainly effected the value, but it didn't make it worthless, it is still one of the most sought after stats. The inferno changes didn't so much devalue items, it more just increased the speed that the items would have deflated at naturally.

I'd be all for an economy reset, assuming they were going to make the necessary changes to improve itemization overall, I just have always felt like since they announced a RMAH that there was no way they'd ever do any ladder seasons, or econ resets.....things that a huge parts of why d2 is re-playable every once in a while.

As far as paragon levels...I don't think they need to go, I just think they need to be reset with the expansion. Give players some kind of cosmetic compensation for whatever paragon benchmarks they reached in Vanilla D3.
