Thanks for posting, it just reminds me again why I don't like these people. Extreme elitist behavior, all this "I want more complexity", "I hate casuals", "Blizzard is shit they just want to make money" (HAHAHAHA and this coming from people who made thousands just through a Blizzard game?), and the worst thing in the end: "just throw some random shit out and let people like me take the shit abilities and turn it into something awesome". Well, guess what, whenever I see these "uber players" like Kripp and co. they play the same stupid boring builds that everyone and their dog is using, why doesn't he just take one of the shit abilities in D3 and create a build around it? He certainly has the time, gear, and resources.

It's so sad that people actually help them earning money.

Obviously you're just venting frustration but..

You're criticizing two very smart personalities who are one of the few that hasn't given into the money and genuinely play games out of passion and won't accept half assed maneuvers. Trying to argue that either of these people are anything less than important pioneers of d3 is silly.

People who are very successful in the gaming community are either smart and extremely good at what they do, they have a very exploitable personality that anyone can manipulate to cause drama or the key feature of the stream is to distract the viewer from half ass content and instead reward them as frequently as possible with treats. I would like to see valid arguments that these two persons fit into any other description than the first one.

The video itself answers your question regarding building specs around shitty abilities. Its impossible to make something out of nothing, because of the chickenshit team refuses to add anything that isn't tested for months instead of making sure people have things to do and figure out what needs to be changed after smarter more active people have had a chance to test it out.

Congratulations, you're a text book example of exactly what the person you quoted is talking about.

That's cool, and they're very entitled to their own opinion. Doesn't necessarily mean their opinions carry more weight than anyone else's.

Fact of the matter is that its currently hip and cool to hate on D3, so these 2 will get a lot of "likes" and "follows". I'm not just talking about real criticisms of real problems, I'm talking about 95% of people who complain about the game on forums are going out of their way to make things up just to be upset and negative about.

What I don't really get is the game is $60 dollars, has no subscription and has no micro-transactions. A typical game will give you anywhere from 40-80 hours of game play (guesstimate) and then its over. People like these guys have hundreds if not thousands of hours into D3, and then they talk about how much of a garbage game it is and whatnot. How do you put 100s of hours into a game if its "one of the biggest failures ever"?

And then to compare D3 to PoE is laughable. I can't directly criticize PoE because it is free to play, so it is what it is, but compared to D3 the game is rubbish.

posted a message on Ask the Devs Part 2-2...
    Quote from Nodnarb

At the end of the day, my loyalty will stay with D3....but i swear PoE is becoming more and more intriguing. It seems like the devs for that game sit around and listen to us here on this forum and try and fix all based off of what we say we want changed in D3. Constant new content, big changes, and a general sense that they are making the game for their players and not for themselves.... Boy that would be a nice feeling if Blizzard was humbled enough to appreciate that.

Right now it feels like itemization is so far gone there is no chance to save it without shifting focus to something else...unrelated like pony land.

PoE is such a poor game to actually play (the combat) that about the only thing they have to hang their hat on is "we'll put everything into our game that people complain about D3 not having".

The "problem" with ask the devs is that people expect it to be "Tell the Devs what to do and they will respond with exactly what you want to hear".

posted a message on Jay Wilson: Auction Houses 'really hurt' game
The AH itself isn't the issue, the AH is a very good addition to the game. The problem was balancing drops around the existence of the AH, making it more or less mandatory for character growth. What really doesn't make sense is how Wilson openly said on more than one occasion that drops were balanced around the existence of the AH, yet now says that they didn't expect the majority of players to use it?

posted a message on Congratulations blizzard! Bots got sponsored banners on YT nad Google
All this speaks to is the popularity of blizzard games. Gold selling, bot farming, account hacking, they all exist in all games. But a game has to be successful for there to be a market for these people to make money selling in game currency.

So yes, congratulations Blizzard for continuing to make good games that are popular and played by a large number of people around the world.

My girlfriend plays at most 3 hours a week and has beaten Diablo on Inferno and farms acts 1 and 2 comfortably and act 3 with a bit of a struggle. She has done this without ever paying more than 100k for any single item, which is a choice she makes because she is stingy and doesn't like spending much gold.

Please stop this casuals can't enjoy D3 argument. It is nothing more than people stretching to find one more thing to complain about because they are so jaded.

They're making it both easier and harder at the same time by offering options to select your own play difficulty.

Yet somehow, some way, people will find a way to complain about it catering to one specific subset of players that they don't believe they belong to.
