    hi,

    first tip would be to get bigger armor rolls as armor > resist (worth 15% more from enchantress, 50% more from deadly reach and 20% more from hard target). the way they have tuned the game is based around the base armor value on higher item level gear (you are rocking lower item level gear than me).

    a socket on the helm is a must, mine is ~ 6-7k HP (or ~ 180-220 vit) which covers a lot of the required vit (means you can find double resist non vit gear with high dext/crit). can also switch the socket for MF when you are doing lower content.

    items i would look at upgrading if i were in your position:

    bracers - i bought a 6% crit 450 armor double resist roll 70 dext 70 vit for around 3-4 mil (more crit = more tornados = more dmg)
    rings - armor / resist rolls
    amulet - may want to think about how you may have cornered yourself looking for a direct stat upgrade and;
    anything that is not item level 63 or doesn't have an armor roll

    in terms of monk you really want to choose a direction with crit/attack speed, i have gone with crit and crit dmg to maximize my tornado damage, though i'm not dual wielding (board sword thunder clapping buffed ~30k dmg 10.5k armor 1.1k resist 47% block 48% dodge 40k hp never die in act3/4/cow level no matter what afflix or mob i get).

    maybe link your spec too if you haven't already.

    hihi peachie,

    next time you log on i can go over a few tips and tricks that i know about all the different specs/skills i've managed to theory craft :P.

    there are a few nice easy builds for you to just spam damage, i can also help gear stat priorites.

    as you may notice i'm done on my softcore monk (reached 400 hours!!!) so thought i'd pump some gold into a wiz - test some specs.

    there seems to be two common builds for a wiz:

    1) blizzard / hydra with a magic missile build (low arcane power build) <- friend uses this (mainly because i tank on my monk)
    2) arcane orb burst damage spam (high arcane power build) <- currently using and can show you in a game how it works (good for burst damage / solo)

    i know a few 'secret' tricks with mechanics that i can show you in-game that you will like.

    it's best you decide what build to go for before choosing your level 60 gear stats (ie. critical chance for critical mass passive).

    build 1) is prob preferable early if you don't have the gold to spend for build 2).

    we can go over this in more detail when you are free.
