I did mean LOH on amulet, sorry!
ot4ku, what you said really intrigued me, very valuable information. I always find it is good to get another persons perspective. I did a bit of research and this is what i came up with:-
Tyrael's (3 sockets)
max stat points - 374
max all res - 80
has move speed
+15% damaage to demons
Eternal Reign (stats roll)
max stat points - 674
max all res - 80
Strongarm (stats roll)
max stat points - 369
9% life (~100 vitality @ 40k hp)
max stat points - 400? (highest i could find on AH was ~330)
9% attack speed
has move speed
Rare gloves (tri, double stats, all res)
max stat points - 400
80 all res
Irons (with max stats can only have 2/3 tri)
max stat points - 400
6% reduced melee damage
60 all res (set bonus)
IK has 6% melee reduction
IK has ~ 100-150 extra stats (assuming 9% life = 100 vit)
IK has + 9% attack speed
IK has ~200 extra armour
Other set has 1 of trifecta
Other set has 4.5% crit chance
Other set has +15% damage to demons
other set has 20 more all res (including set bonus)
I think using IK would be a more defensive build where as the Other set would be a more offensive one.
Where it starts to get interesting is when you look at different rolls on the gear ( Melee or ranged reduction on strongarm's, or even lacuni's).
Also, in regards to a WW build, I'm not certain if the attack speed would make a difference in regards to the amount of ticks your tornado's do ( I'm not very good at theorycrafting )
A question i have is how much lifesteal do you need on a reasonably good character with reasonably good gear? Is 3% enough or do you need 6%? Can you drop from 6% to 3% and pick up 1500 LOH on your amulet (i think that's the cap?) to drop LS off of one of your weapons to get more dps? or a cheaper weapon?
I started to factor in move speed on Ice Climbers but it didn't seem to make too much difference, also it started to make my head hurt.
There's a very good chance I may have missed something, so double check anything that looks out of the ordinary.
thanks for the reply!

Hi,Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
I just thought i would show the way I'm gearing and what my endgame goals are, take it with a grain of salt.
I've basically got the the pieces i want in the slots that i want, but with pretty average stats. I'm planning on upgrading them one at a time as i get the money.
Pieces I will be changing are:-
*Shoulders - Vile Wards with vit and life %
*Rare ring - Dropping all res on ring that will get picked up with the Vile Wards. Changing to a trifecta with str & possibly vit.
*Amulet - At PL 100 i will be swapping out for hopefully a trifecta with str/vit and a reasonable amount of lifesteal (atm my tornadoes are ticking 30x each so the lifesteal is godly) if need be i will drop off the AS because i am almost certain it wont bring me to the next breakpoint anyway.
*Hellfire ring - Swap to a rare ring with a minimum of crit hit/dmg and to pick up stats i may be lacking in (allres, str/vit).
*Mempo - Swapping to a Mempo with crit hit and swapping gem out for life % at PL 100.
*MH & OH will be very similar statwise to what i have now, but I plan on upgrading the dps on the OH, and if need be LS.
Basically, with all my pieces I'm going to be increasing the str/vit on them. Getting avg damage, pickup radius, phys res where i can but not mandatory.
I'm not too concerned with the str to vit ratio, I figure if my str rolls on the gear is high but the vit isn't so much, I can pick it up by swapping my str gems for vit.
I know i haven't told you what gear to get, but tbh it's a hard call. Depending on how good a player you are will determine how much survivability (armor, all res, vit, damage reduction, etc) you need.
Pick a tick rate on your tornadoes that you're happy with and try not to go too much over it, the AS will be wasted stats.
I find Bash Punish works well if you open up with your 3 hits and just tag a monster every few seconds with it to refresh it (damage goes over 200k).
Alkaizer runs with doing Rakkis crossing and all of Fields of Slaughter take 10-12 min on MP2. I will say that i read an article on here about swapping WOTB for furious charge and it was the best change for speed runs i ever made, props to the guy who did the post. It especially helps with the monsters that get feared from EF.
Sorry it's a bit convoluted but i just typed whatever i think may help you .

They are not as expensive as you think. I picked up my EF for 28m. Its not BIS by any measure, but there's always good deals to be had.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary

Hi guys,Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
I thought i would share my act 3 build.
stats are :-
700-750 res with WC
22.6k kdps with BR
9.9k armor with passives and WC
I dont have problems with mobs and can dispatch most elite packs without much difficulty with this build.
Use WOTB on elites, keep BR and WC constantly up and use IP when you know theres damage inc.
when im playing in a group with a ranger that has an attack that goes through mobs i usually swap out WOTB for GS wrenching smash. I find that for most mob packs it usually more efficent to run into the middle of them and GS to pull them into a clump so ranged can dps them down in a group.
