    They specified the random stats. The fixed stat ranges won't change unless they specify they will. On the plus side EF will roll with up to 100%cd, socket, main stat and 1.3k dps.

    I'd honestly like for pLvL to be account-wide, but I don't think that's something they would do now. Introducing a system to help/encourage playing alts wouldn't be crazy though.

    I think this sounds like a nicer idea than making it account-wide since when you eventually get to 100 account-wide you are essentially back to square one with no endgame progression.

    I believe the ring is the reward for killing whatever it is we will need to kill. If you check out the item game guide on diablo forums, there's a "unity ring" listed that has so far not dropped (afaik).

    You might be pleasantly surprised. I've tried it and it is already close to impunity in terms of survivability (my res is low so I still struggle with trash moloks/witches without impunity - elites I'm fine due to ll/loh). Desecrator/arcane also seems to hurt a bit more. I plan on upping my res (will probly get 2 ik pieces in the next week or two) and then I fully expect ca to be superior to impunity even pre patch (minus the wotb upkeep I mentioned earlier). One downside is this makes ww/nado barb even more anti social.

    Snuh, I was hoping the infernal machine thing would grant something new like a new socketable. Unity is marginally better than the set rings.
    Having said that, every once in a while something pops up in d3 that is an improvement on d2. Monster power looks to be one of those things (essentially integrating /players 8 into multiplayer, but allowing it to work in coop). I wonder if it is specifically improving mf bonus from nv or actually improving drop rates?

    Impunity will be a far cry from worthless (har de har). I am toying with crushing advance since it gives you comparable survivability + dps as a bonus. Thing is warcry tends to keep my wotb afloat between mobs pretty frequently so that in itself will be a loss.

    Hey, just wanted to say thanks. I started trying this build a couple of weeks ago. Managed to tank ghom, then didn't get much further (my LoH was low, as was armor). You encouraged me to go find a few bits more gear and a new wand (850 LoH, 800ish dps, but no arcane on crit - I have this on my hat and source). I managed to play through the rest of act 3 and 4 this evening! (soloed the whole game).

    I had a couple of suggestions/comments:
    To anyone complaining that the build is overly expensive: the same is true for any build that wants to be a3/4 viable (possibly the op baba build is an exception atm). Yes, you need to invest some cash, and it may indeed get nerfed, but it is pretty fun and absolutely does work if you follow what Maxyim has suggested (you really don't need a lot of deepees, I had 15k - but you DO need the high res and armor).

    Izual is easy as far as a4 goes for this build. Facetank him, he seems to hit slowly so even though you get frozen quite frequently, ds never drops.

    Diablo: I was having trouble with explosive blast eating my arcane. I switched venom hydra in and was happy with the results (tbh that skill slot can be replaced with anything that isn't arcane intensive). Also someone mentioned running from the clones: I didn't try this, but didn't have much difficulty tanking them (stepped aside when they did meteor, that was about it). I recommend fracture on them then tank asap.

    I think I skipped most of the elite packs in act4. Maybe I got unlucky (or connection issues; my connection sucks) but I had real problems with anything that would kite me, which seemed to be every single elite pack.
