Skill definitely does matter. If your skilled enough you don't need the high end gear a person with less skill may need. You can do some vary crafty gameplay. Just get better.
Those builds aren't bad. As a wizard who has cleared inferno myself, I honestly did not use blink much at all. Boss fights were the only time I used it.
If you do not depend on Blink; I would switch blink with Diamond Skin and Shock pulse for Magic Missile - ( Seeker or Charged)
Thank you all for the compliments and kind words! I agree with Leralion, I should rename the title haha .. Ghom was such a frustrating fight!!!! I was ready to give up and quit for sure, once I did kill him I was so stoked I knew nothing would stop me from finishing Inferno!
To Keiser: Yes, I did solo through all of the Inferno Progression. The start of act 3 kicked my ass, I had been using a "blue" 2h weapon with just attack speed and it was hard to tear through the high hp mobs. I switched to a 1h and a shield , my overall DPS decreased but it seemed to give me much more breathing room for kiting etc
Hi all! I just wanted to share my excitement on beating Inferno Diablo! It did not take too many attempts, I really should have had him on my first attempt, but the servers last night were being very laggy.
I wanted to post my gear, and build for anyone who wants to know what it may take. I consider my gear mediocre compared to many wizards I see. With this gear I was able to make it through act 3 and 4 pretty easily. I am even able to switch up to WW/CM spec and tank in act 3 pretty much anything. I get bored of builds alot so I am often switching specs during acts just for fun. I am not big into farming gear etc so I really just wanted to beat this game. Now I wait until PVP!
I took down Ghom after many many attempts, and Cydea which was also a pain with this gear but dif builds. Ghom was harder than Diablo I would have to say, but Diablo was a much longer more grueling fight.
Below are links to my gear and the build/stats I used to kill Inferno Diablo!
