    Quote from Doomscream

I for one think it would be rather cool to have a possible future system like the charms to be exclusively BoA. Just imagine how rewarding you would feel when a good one drops.

It may add something to grind for but it completely goes against the themes of the last games in which trading was a large aspect. It seems like most people either

A: did not play diablo 2
    or
B: never bothered playing past single player

There is a reason that people do not play any more, I think its because of the lack of a trading system. The gear has became too easily acquirable and I feel that BoA isn't the answer. I suppose this is hindsight but the AH was just a mistake to the game, doubt there is a fix for it.

The one (1, uno, ein) item they have said they will do this with is an item that will need a LOT of work to get. It's supposed to be more of a feat from completing the "event" than it is going to be a fight against the AH.

Please, I understand that you want to complain, but when you start complaining before there is any real explanation on it is just stupid. For all we know it may be a ring that is purely cosmetic. Or opens a story line arc.

I feel that you have missed the concept of my post. The quantity is not coming into question, its the principle. The whole basis of this post is to express my opinion that blizzard should have more of an emphases on its predecessor than adding traits of a game created for T rather then M as the box indicates.

You have yet to supply a single indication where this game is MMO'ish as you claim.

    Taken from Websters;

    MMORPG:
    massively multiplayer online role-playing game

So based off that definition, can you tell me how many copies of Diablo 3 were sold? With a player base as large as the series had to work off of, you can expect a game company to anticipate a large player base. It is only logical they would draw from what worked, that being WoW. If you are asking for specific instances of influenced mechanics in the game you can take the AH into consideration, the cheesy art, the dialogue set to entertain 13 year olds, and maybe even the leveling system. I am sure there are plenty more observations one could make if they wanted to pursue it.

There's nothing more MMO'ish about D3 then there was about D2. If anything, its less.

I gave examples, you just said I was wrong without backing it up. I'd be interested to hear your reasoning behind that statement (truthfully, I don't mean that to be condescending).

There aren't major game releases where the game is PERFECT at launch. Sorry. Hence why there is a patching system in the first place. You balance, rebalance and then balance it abit more before it works flawlessly. It takes time. The primary difference between D2 and 3 is the difficulty. The art style isn't much different. D2 had a smaller color pallet and appears darker, but its mood isn't nearly as dark as seeing tortured angels and the multiple instances of human torture, death, and even enslavement (A3, Succubus')

I'm not saying the games perfect, but its been our for a very short time comparitivly. I definately think it'll live up to its predicessor.

I don't expect it to be perfect, but they can forever more spare me the "when it's ready" nonsense. It wasn't even close, and the beta was a joke. Like I said, I do hope that it is successful, I have just lost faith. It's just not fun for me and I don't care to log in any more. That makes me sad.

I think the lack of randmization was a truly bad idea which, among other things, will limit the lifetime of this game. Again, I hope I'm wrong and will enjoy coming back someday, but I don't see it happening.

I was thinking what this guy ended up typing about the comment on D3 not being any more MMOish then its predecessor. By adding the AH to this game they destroyed what was to me one of the biggest end game objectives in D2, trading. I remember MFing in my games with a potential trade as the name and doing that for a few hours at a time.

The addition to BoA gear in the Diablo series is just another drop in the bucket of bad ideas/mistakes.

The new team that brought us D3 has done it again, the AH was part of what destroyed the games economy in the first place and now to attempt to make up for it they are introducing BOA items in the next patch to attempt to fix this. Way to WoWify diablo.

posted a message on Does Blizzard protect scammers?
    Quote from xajten

There's first of all no such thing as trade scamming (us.battle.net/support/en/article/diablo-iii-scam-policy), you are responsible for pressing the Accept button after you see what the other party is offering. If you don't double-check then that's on you.

You've therefore defamed the reputation of two players on the forums for something that isn't a policy violation, and they weren't even successful in their trickery either, so even if this was considered a scam, no violation took place, double fail. Reporting this to customer support is therefore moot.

Be glad that you had the good sense to double-check the item before accepting and then move on with your life.

The ignorance you portray in this gave me a chuckle. If you think that the program used to quickly swap an item is the only scam out there then I assume you have not heard of the other scams going around such as the stack one in which the quantity of the item being bought reflects incorrect numbers in the trade screen.

There is a reason Blizzard is resorting to just telling people to avoid private trades and to use the AH. They are not doing anything about it and their actions lean to the opinion they do not care. All it would take would be a simple trade delay when an item is swapped to avoid things like this.

I have read and been told that at my level of resists prismatic out weighs the use of force armor. I would have to take a 15k hit prior to force armor coming into play and that does not happen very often. I forgot to mention that I have around 10 arcane power granted on crit so I having a signature spell is not required. I would hate to lose Critical Mass for 20% damage reduction from melee, I feel like I am missing some form of life regeneration or leech that is playing a big role in my survival.

P.S. my goal is to come up with a set of gear in which I do not have to kite as much, I want to avoid that as much as possible

Hey guys, I leveled my wizard to 60 yesterday and got some gear off the auction house, spent around 30 million have a bit left over. The issue I am running into is survival, I think I am missing a major function like life steal to keep me up while killing peeps in Archon. Any help is much appreciated I will post a rough estimate of my stats below since I am not currently online, any criticism is welcomed.

    HP: 42k
DPS: 42k (including Sparkflint & Glass Cannon)
    Crit: 40%
    Crit Damage: 185%
Res: 900 (lowest w/ prismatic shield)
    Loh: 450

    I am using this build:
    Arcane Orb; Tap the Source
    Archon: Improved
    Hydra: Venom
    Diamond Skin; Crystal Shell
    Familiar; Sparkflint
    Energy Armor; Prismatic armor

tl;dr: doing well in A1 with the above specs but I am dying faster then I think I should later on, any criticism or guidance is appreciated
