While I haven't tried A3 post 1.0.4. My first guess would be your resistances and health are too low. I am able to currently farm A2 with little to no problem in a full MF set and 59k hp. I will try A3 today, but my guess is from my personal pre patch A3 misadventures that you'll need 500+ resistances and/or higher health. You might even be able to get away with just having high HP in A3 with your damage reduction abilities.
Near perfect on STR roll max is 200 197 is 98.5% of perfect. I still stand by my satement of "near perfect STR helm" since the STR was what I was referring to in the near perfect.

Debating popping in a 15% life gem if it'll boost the sell price enough.
Anyone interested? I'm not sure what specifically barbs look for but I imagine almost max str and a solid vit boost would be a big help for barbs in inferno? Is the lack of resists what's keeping offers away?

Entertaining offers or DH gear trades for a near perfect STR helm with decent VIT 69, and open socket. I'd imagine you'd throw in a 12% life to maximize vit. Additionally +armor bring the helm up to 555 total armor and it has another random stat I can't think of thorns maybe?

This might be a little crazy in concept but wondering if anyone has tried stacking gear with this stat? I'm not sure which slots can carry this bonus or what the max per slot is? I have been seeing it pop up on a couple items and the idea just dawned on me. Potentially stacking enough of this with some half decent resists may be key to a lot of tough packs.
Additionally, I'm wondering does "elites" include bosses? Would be nice to go up against Diablo on Inferno with say a 50% reduction in damage from elites in addition to your resists etc...
So a question because I vendor tons of shields. What are decent modifiers for a shield that makes it worth say 100k or more? Str + VIT? Res all? what's the max on resistance for shields?
I'm sorry if these are stupid questions but any help would be appreciated.
Also unrelated question but for Wizards does LoH proc on spells cast i.e. would the wiz gain health each time a hydra shoots a fireball?
I found a shield the other day 1000 armor 24% chance to block with a modifier of +6% chance to block bringing it up to 30% total. Is this actually worth something? Not sure the other stats just remember 30% total block seemed like a lot.
And I downed Ghom! 4th try using the grenading tank build. I forgot to equip my 2nd 1h xbow which is why I died the first three times.... Oops
Spent 100k for 2x 1h crap DPS but 500+ LoH each. ~375 resists, just stood there caltroppingand poison grenading. 26k HP and I never went below 1/3.
Now I can finally make my way to Seigebreaker on inferno!
I have to add, as hard a inferno is as each act progresses I enjoy having to work to be able to pass the next area. It can be a pain especially when you're not finding upgrades but the sense of accomplishment is there.

An alternative would be to just join a public game, with things being a bit easier post patch I'm sure you could probably use that to your advantage.
