White mob dmg is irrelevant because you should always be trying to aggro tons of mobs to let the dot tick on them all and the elites will be the last to die. RG dmg is the most important thing.

posted a message on Numpad Trick. Banable ?
    Quote from cying»
its definitely bannable. macros are bannable and they are inputs in the keyboard. ANYTHING that lets you play differently than how blizzard wants you to play is bannable. would they ACTUALLY ban you for it though? probably not. technically multiboxing should be bannable, but blizz went on record to say theyll allow it (probably because it means selling more copies of diablo 3 and having more people online)
Blizzard's stance on macro's in all their games is "1 button press must = 1 action" no matter how many game clients are getting that action. Basically what it means is that you can't push 1 button and then have the macro do multiple things or do something based on time. It's somewhat impossible for them to enforce though so people generally do whatever they want in macro's.

However, the numpad trick isn't even a macro. You are pushing the button and then using a trick to make the game believe that you are holding the button down when you have actually released it. I've never seen any message from Blizzard about whether this sort of behavior is acceptable for a macro (afaict it still falls under 1 button = 1 action) but seeing as how it is not even a macro and they pretty much ignore every form of cheating that people do in d3, if they ever decide that they don't like it then they will likely patch it and take no action against anybody.

You have way too much vit everywhere and unity is a huge dps loss vs SoJ. You should only have sentry dmg on shoulders and chest, get multishot dmg (or CA if you want to run CA) on helm/boots/quiver. You need RCR on shoulders/gloves/xbow/quiver and cdr on shoulders. A good hellfire neck goes a long way but they are also a huge time investment. Get your Zei's gem ranked up!

So I should be leeching off random T6 games where I can make zero contribution, basically? Think I'd rather carry on the way I am and consider be able to farm T6 as being some distant "you beat the game, now park that character and work on a different one" goal.
If you want to gear fast then yes leaching is the way to go and a lot of people are so overgeared that they can carry 3 people through t6 without noticing much difference, especially if you spec for support to boost their dps. If you want to gear at a reasonable pace where you don't feel like you are leaching then you should at least be playing with other WD's so you can loot share to get pieces you are missing but they already have and then gambling for the ones you need. Once you complete one of the good class sets, even if they are terrible rolls, you are basically t6 ready if you gear and spec remotely close to decently.

    Right, gotcha.

We clearly have quite different definitions of "moderately" geared. Since despite playing 700 hours and 150 paragon levels my best character has nowhere near a full class set and no level 25 gems and can only handle T3, where rifts take 15 minutes or so.

I can see that the trial system could get pathologically broken for the extreme outliers who can get a trial key every few minutes (is T6 rift a 100% trial key drop?)
And I bet most all of your time played was in classic not RoS. It took me about 2 days (20-25 hours played) at the start of S1 to complete m6 with 100-150 paragon and 3x lvl 10-20 gems, another day to get them all 25. That was a complete fresh start 0-70 at a time when nobody else had gear to carry me and I was usually carrying friends. At this point you should be able to attain that "moderate" gear level in under 10 hours if you join random t6 rift games to get your full class set and then doing low lvl GR's very quickly to gather and rank up your legendary gems.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I've always found trials take about 1% of the time of getting into GRifts, finding the trial keys in the first place takes 99% of it.

Why so much hate for trials, then?
You would need basically no gear for that to be true. Geared players can clear T6 rifts in 3-4 mins (sometimes even full clearing in that time) while the legitimate way of getting a ~GR50 key takes over 4 minutes. Even if you're "moderately" geared with a full class set and lvl 25 legendary gems then a T6 rift should take under 10 mins and a GR25-30 trial key should take you 1-2 mins (the last few waves take the most time). Also top players usually have hundreds of trial keys, often ignoring picking up more, that they have saved from farming T6 for gear/xp so they were essentially a free bonus for farming other things whereas doing the trial is a 4-5 min time sink with negligible rewards.

Maybe a fire build won't be that reliant on Kridershot now that you use Cindercoat. Calamity or maybe even Balefire Caster together with Cindercoat should work quite nicely.
Sort of. Fire without krider is fine but 1h's are pretty bad on ptr because although they can generate faster, casting generators with a weak hitting 1h is not that good compared to using hatred cd's with a slow 2h that hits way harder. The current #1 in s2 is using a 2h fire build with cindercoat, reaper wraps, and rcr all over (shoulders/gloves/2h/quiver).

SMK is the biggest setback for any grift group right now. Few people have SMK and out of all of the ones that do there is only a handful that are good at playing support.

The problem seems to be a general lack of ceremonial knife drops coupled with the low drop rate (~1.5% from the leaked rates). IMO they should bump up both slightly, say 50% more of each which would more than double the odds.

There is a reason everyone plays Raekor, it is the most OP solo spec since its damage scales with density although that leaves you fishing for conduits to kill the RG. IK and/or MotE have no hope of doing high lvl grifts at all though.

Call it whatever you want but it's Blizzard's game, Blizzard's TOS, and Blizzard choice whether it's allowed or not and they have already decided that it is. Any argument you have is a pointless waste of time.

Your stance is irrelevant, Blizzard has been clear that multiboxing is allowed.

Does it significantly increase your loot? Specifically, increase your chance at very high quality loot on your main toon? Absolutely. The question is how the multiboxxers pick up legendaries, and other stuff, as they go on all four clients. And for that, I believe, they use a third party program, which IS strictly against ToS.
They can turn it off whenever they want to control a specific account.

posted a message on LvL 48 grift players disappeared
If you are talking about people running the higher grifts (but not completing unless they get a god mode grift) then it stopped because blizzard changed the way grift trials work so it is more difficult to get high lvl grift keys from trials. An upcoming hotfix is supposed to give higher keys again but we'll have to wait and see.
