I got to 6.5 in 3 hours after work last night. L2 30% runspeed.
Act3 inferno clears take me 25-30 mins (skipping the crappy quests at the start). 24 is not surprising at all.

I have 45.5% crit, 150% crit damage. My damage stat unbuffed is around 45k.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
I use 0 LoH - I can normally blow up an elite in a single rotation of my abilities (i.e. 1 blind, 1 serenity), then take the globe and blow up the next. Some easy packs in Act III I can kill in 12 seconds - that's the whole pack in 12 seconds (I'm talking the easy spider packs).
Even so, I still highly recommend getting IAS where possible. A ring can go up to 9% IAS, vs only 4.5% crit. Obviously 9% IAS is a lot better than 4.5% crit, so it's better to get IAS in certain slots.

Gear is too low - you need to farm Act I.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary

Why? - It's much faster to farm solo.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
I've got a friend I've known for 6+ years. We've played together in WoW arenas (up to 2400+ rating), Sc2 etc. so we are very good together.
..but we never team up to farm, it is just soo much slower than solo.

It's worth at least 50 million.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary

Your damage seems very low.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
I suspect your problem is that you are stacking LoH at the expensive of damage. LoH is effectively a "noob" stat, for players who want to be able to stand still and face-tank everything. Unfortunately, no matter how much LoH you have, you won't be able to tank one of these packs if they are a base mob that moves around randomly.
I have no problem with any packs, mostly because they die before they can do anything. I'm at 48k damage (buffed). I have zero LoH, 700 res all, 45k hp. I also stack spirit gen, so I can heal on-demand by refreshing conviction.
Admittedly these are the hardest packs for monks by far, and I am ridiculously over-geared for inferno, so can't really talk.

Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuarydo you think wave of light is worth it? i always feel like i do more damage just using the spirit for mov overawe and having sweeping winds active.
It is very gear-dependant, and only works if, like me, you have a huge amount of spirit gen. Otherwise you will just go out of spirit.
So I think both are valid choices.

Yeah, sorry, I know. But I did time my AoE to the music!

Hello,Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
It is perhaps a little presumptuous of me, but here is my monk wrecking Inferno - Act III.
This is after the attack speed nerf. Be sure to watch it in HD.
A bit of background for those unfamiliar with Infero: Act III / Act IV share the same difficulty (and same loot), but Act III is preferred before the elite packs are denser, allowing for more action. Some of the elite packs in this video are considered harder that Inferno Diablo himself. I have not included boss fights because they are "easy" and boring by comparison, but will upon request.
(I'm not sure how to post a proper link on these forums, so you'll have to copy and paste. Sorry.)
Here are the fights (all in real-time, and all start-to-finish):
Fallen Soldier - Vortex, Health Link, Jailer, Teleporter
...Plus Vast number of adds
Succubus - Avenger, Reflects Damage, Jailer, Arcane Enchanted
Soul Lashers (AKA "Lickers") - Reflects Damage, Jailer, Invulnerable, Teleporter
Hulking Phasebeasts - Knockback, Illusionist, Teleporter, Arcane Enchanted
Fight 6 - Double Pack
Herald of Pestilence - Shielding, Electrified, Vortex, Morta
...Plus: Stygian Crawler - Vortex, Waller, Vampiric, Teleporter
...Plus: Treasure Goblin
...Plus Vast number of adds
Stygian Crawler - Arcane Enchanted, Mortar, Knockback, Frozen
Hulking Phasebeasts - Reflects Damage, Invulnerable, knockback, Desecrater
I hope you enjoy.
