If it was the quality of the video that bothered you, it is because Twitch TV gives better quality to users with more views.

    That is just not true.

posted a message on Paragon credit??
    Quote from NoxioussGaz

I'm just curious how they will work it when an expansion gets released? I'm assuming they'll pause the paragon meter until you reach the new cap but will the paragon meter reset or continue where you left off (though obviously if you never started it by the time the expansion comes out you won't start till the new cap).

Trying not to beat an old horse, the issue with the Paragon system is that it clashes with RMAH. The RMAH is the reason we can't have ladder resets, since resetting gear people payed for doesn't work, and ladder without RMAH is just bad business. Could we have ladder reset, what you mentioned wouldn't be an issue. New expansion, new ladder. I'm guessing we'll see full Paragon resets for expansions. Paragon, while an excellent system, is just a prolonging of the game, not an actual end game, at least not without resets.

About expansions in general Jay Wilson said that he thought that only one expansion for previous Blizzard games (before WoW) were "Lost opportunities" and that he very much thought that Diablo 3 would have more than one. The biggest problem about Diablo 3 expansions is that unlike older games, the consumers today are more demanding and want changes faster. The things missing in Diablo 2 classic, were released with LoD, not continuously like for Diablo 3. Obviously bugs were fixed and the game was maintained, but the radical changes to the game we've seen in the games short life is unseen in any other pre-WoW Blizzard game outside expansions. This makes me think that there is less time for actual expansion work, but you never know what actually goes on I guess.

If this is true, it shows a disrespect for the game that Diablo 3 was suppose to live up to. This disrespect shows why Diablo 3, in my opinion, didn't live up to its predecessor. So they "ruined" what was suppose to be game of the century, because they didn't pay it the respect it deserved. I've never liked Jay Wilson, especially not since the "Shut up PvP guy" video, and this sure as hell hasn't helped.

    Quote from Rencol

Ok lets summerize - it is clearly an amulet for physical res monk, but monks, especialy HC monks, severely NEED something of this on their amulets: loh, ias, crit dmg/chance. Without it, its pretty much descending into "meh" gear. Sorry to say that.

While you're right, you can get more than enough of those stats on rings, gloves, bracers, weapon and shield. This amulet allows you to completely ignore resistance and vit on a few of those pieces. Especially on rings that can make it a lot easier to find the items on AH. As you say without those stats this ring goes from perfect to just being good. But good is a lot of gold.

Oh well, guess 1.0.4 will be my exit then. The game has no endgame. How do they solve this? By making it even easier to get to end game. This way even more people will be bored with Diablo. Thanks for the ride, it almost lasted 12 years like its predecessor.
Yeah, heard of that thing Called HC? If u need challenge go there or get all achis would love to see that.

Currently in act 3 on inferno on my hardcore wizard thank you :). I'm hoping to beat it before it gets nerfed even further, but I don't have much time to progress atm.

    Status: Dead
    Level: 60
    Progression: Inferno Act 1
Death: Vortex Waller Arcane Fire Chains - Didn't see them, ran around a corner, got vortex'd in and blocked in a corner of walls and mobs - I was undergeared for inferno tho so I blame no one but myself!

    Name: Dednonigel
    Class: Wizard
    Status: Dead
    Level: 60
    Progression: Inferno Act 2
Death: Graphics card overheated and computer shut off just as I pulled a scavenger champion pack.

    Name: Rymianka
    Class: Wizard
    Status: Alive
    Level: 60
    Progressoin Inferno Act 3

Over the last month I've only had time to do progression a few times so it's going quite slowly. Also I don't have a softcore wizard for testing which kinda slows things down at times.

posted a message on What level should I be when entering Act X on X Difficulty?
What I've done on my two wizards and my monk (and I have yet to die before 60):

For entire normal I just play through with a 21 or 23% xp gem.

    Nightmare Act1: 30
    Nightmare Act2: 37 - 38
Nightmare Act3: 46 (Crater runs are better XP than Act 4, and even to some extend hell)
    Nightmare Act4: 50

Hell Act1: 50 - Usually 51 because of crater runs and clearing Act 4 nm
    Hell Act2: 54 - 55
    Hell Act3: 58
    Hell Act4: 60

The only point I feel I have to slow down is end nightmare (but mainly because it's so good xp to do craters) and before going into Act 2 hell. Crypt runs usually takes care of that (The crypt event with the 3 ghosts is amazing xp).

    posted a message on 15%
    Quote from Manimal

Is it absolutely necessary for bliz to be taking 15% commission off items sold in the gold AH? C'mon!! Why???? You're taking commission on fictitious currency? I understand taking from the Real money AH to cover dev costs etc.. but why oh why………… *sad face cos I only got 8500 from a ring I wanted 10k for.. oh well :(

It's to control inflation. Without the cut gold would end up being as pointless in Diablo 2 and we'd end up trading items for items or other fictional currencies (D2jsp fg etc).

posted a message on Inferno Clear with 100K Gold
Not to flame you or anything, but isn't this more an expression of the gear prices falling rather than anything else? You have more DPS than I did when I cleared up to Siegebreaker (Post SS nerf, Pre NT and Inferno nerf), but less health. I had around 18k dps and 20k hp for Belial (and no resistance), and my gear was not less than a 100k at that time.

These challenges are cool and all, but I must admit it's getting a bit much. It started out as a proof that you can clear Inferno without farming your ass off, now it's more of an every day occurrence. No hatin'!

posted a message on [Guide] General Guide for Wizards in Inferno [PRE 2.0 PATCH]
According to most sources, Cold Blooded increases all damage, not just cold damage. This makes it, in my opinion, superior to Galvanizing Ward in a Blizzard kiting build. I also found that after going away from Galvanizing Ward my Energy Armor uptime improved to pretty much 100%, from a before a bit more sloppy uptime. I'm guessing the fact that it's shorter increased my awareness on it.

Furthermore a reflection on hardcore, Wormhole is excellent for hardcore due to Teleport sometimes bugging out and getting you nowhere. Wormhole allows for multiple chances to get away in these cases. I also go with Blur over Glass Canon but this should be fairly obvious why. You're not suppose to be hit with a kiting spec yes, but Vortex, Teleporter or Fast will usually net you a few melee swings, so the 20% reduction is nice.
