I got spectrum from my visit to whimsydale. Shrug.

I noticed the improved AI and so things are just getting crushed on T4, but I took a random molten explosion and died at full health and was like "uh what the?" 1350 FR, 25% less damage from elites, armor around 70% and it still did 533k damage to me. So it seems like spells are doing way more damage.

The most ideal stats for a shield (will always depend on the build) but Str and Crit are almost never wrong. Though, if you are looking to have an end goal of 100% up time for akkrat's champion, you will need reduce cooldown on shield. So, it's okay, but unfortunately you will only get to re-roll for crit or cooldown reduction, so it is not ideal.

The shield you gambled is actually one of the stronger/more useful shields. So definitely keep it if it rolled decent. I would gamble for akkhan pieces before anything else. The order I went was helm > shoulders > Chest > pants > Gloves reason being you have a pretty good chance of scoring pants/chest blackthorne set (at least, I always seem to pick up several copies of these whether it was hc or sc) which are quite useful and gloves are always going to be way harder to get something worth using (most likely you'll take a hit on glove quality to achieve 6 piece bonus) Could always choose boots instead of pants, depending on what drops for you. I personally crafted crimson belt/boots right off until I got high rolls (490+ str) and never looked back.

Going Lightning or Fire build will get you into higher torments faster, and, if by some fortune you happen upon a maximus, make the switch to fire, because you can ride that demon badboy all the way through T3.

I certainly don't want to say one way or the other, but I spent a month playing my monk, doing faster normal runs, creeping into T1, and now I can do T1-T3 pretty speedy and it took about a month to get there.

I decided to level my barb to 70 on friday. Got to 70 on Saturday. Probably spent 150~ rift shards and got 12+ set items (4 of them being Torment set pieces), tons of legendaries, about 15-25 from kadala. (I would get about 2 per filling my inventory up and 12 of my slots were full prior yet somehow Mr Yan doesn't want to give me his pants)

So now my barb absolutely nukes T1 faster then my monk ever has, he can do T3 but I dunno it's just a hassle.

I do roll around with 120MF though, and I never had any MF on my monk. But being able to gear up in 1 day vs 30 was pretty mind blowing. Also, I guess rift loot was buffed twice before I ever touched my barb. Kadala never once gave me a legendary even after the Kadala buffs until I started using the shards on my barb.

So conclusion? Get some MF. Totally. It makes magic happen. Or whatever. I don't care. I offer nothing to the conversation.

What I don't understand is why people like this are still around? Who hangs around whining about a game that came out 17 months ago? It's just insane.

I remember fighting diablo with around 40k dps with a shield equipped (because I'd die otherwise) on my wizard and trying to kill him over and over and over using 5 CD spells and poison hydra. 15 minute attempts Came across this song http://www .youtube.com/watch?v=W-nki7BDKzQ which helped calm my nerves and I was able to finally take him out. This was after the nerf that rendered the 4k HP w/ tons of regen build useless but before any nerfs to diablo himself were released.

Also remember when three friends and I made hardcore characters, activated old man event in field of misery and two of my friends died. Bwah haha.

The last thing I'll write about was how upset I was that they nerfed Tyreal because people where using him to kill elites or the purple mobs in Act 4 trying to find that 1k dps blue weapon!

Granted you gimp yourself on drops, but how does MP10 hell compare to inferno if you were looking at it from purely a XP grinding point?

Nevermind it only took one run to realize this isn't a good idea. At least for a wizard that can't get around as fast as other classes.

I figure it is a long shot but if you magically are sitting on a 930~ dps sunkeeper with int with the same two random rolls and want a str one instead, well, let's trade!
