posted a message on What's up with 300k+ dps
I would just love to know how people are getting such high dps on their battle.net profiles when you are a WD. Are they logging out with buffs or is it possible to really get that high of dps? I don't understand, I'm only missing a few slots for attack speed%, almost perfect crit chance, almost 1k dps weapon, with almost 400% crit damage, and only managing 150k~ dps. How are people getting their numbers so high?

posted a message on Price Check/WTS Dead Man's Legacy 299dex 317vit Bola Shot
Just wanted to know how much this is worth and if anyone wants to buy it give me an offer, will do RMAH if needed but prefer Gold. Only thing I could find close to the same stats on US Gold AH was at 700 Mil, but I'm doubting it's that much.

    Dead Man's Legacy
    +299 Dex
    +317 Vit
    +17% Attack Speed
    +1.3 Hatred/Sec
    +9.5% Crit Chance
    +13% Bola Shot Damage

I'm so glad for these changes.

Like Kripp said, just think of the huge amount of man hours wasted on people just searching through crap on the AH.

For the people complaining about gem stats, have you ever tried searching for a helm with magic find? You pretty much have to search for helms with like +40% magic find, and then almost all of the results you get are people who spend hours searching for good helms just to stick a gem in them and then relist them for crazy amounts. This is gonna make searching for weapons, pants, chests, and helms SOOO much easier. I personally have sat and looked at the AH sometimes for hours searching for upgrades and very rarely find something.

About the price of gold, sweet. You know blizz was probably sitting there looking at gold prices on black market sites, and then looking at their spreadsheets and how gold sales through AH has dropped and they took the only logical solution. Keep bots around, still make money off them, blizz is like the house in casinos. They always win eventually.

posted a message on Blizzard is becoming too obvious.
Actually this has nothing to do with GW2 specifically, and more with the fact that it's just a competitor. If you look over a lot Robert Kotick's (activision ceo) interviews, you see he actually does a lot of planning around the release of other games. They do tons of holding back projects/rushing other ones based on competitions release dates.

It's not too big of a stretch of the imagination to see the correlation between a very large game changing patch coming out around the time of another games release dates. Even if people will still eventually buy GW2, If just a few people delay their purchase of the game based on, "I'm just gonna play around with Diablo 3's new patch and wait to see a few reviews of GW2 before I buy it" then their planning and holding off of game changes was successful. Major Corporations know that reputations are all based around numbers, specifically release date sales numbers when you talk about video game companies. They will do pretty much whatever it takes to take numbers from their competitors, even if it's just a small number, it's worth it.

I love all the replies to this topic raging over the very very common, "[New Game] is totally gonna be a [Old Game] Killer" statements. These are the direct result of the competitions marketing strategies, and your raging comments are the direct result of the current game's marketing strategies. Way to be sheep, BAA!

All in all, it's just business. If you wanna sit here and throw insults at eachother and cloud the big picture with your "Game A is better then Game B" type statements go ahead. But the truth is GW2 has something to do with the patch release date, just not GW2 specifically. It could have been any other game. Bobby Kotick is not a very deep man, and his marketing strategies are very often put right out there in the public's eyes, sad thing is the public is too stupid or clouded with their own judgement they don't see it, or refuse to believe it.

posted a message on Theoretical Exercise 3: Legendary Traits
I honestly think it's going to be a bunch of cosmetic changes, like for example legendary boots that make your character leave a trial of fire that does no damage everywhere they walk.

Lets hope not. I think some cool things would be copies of already exsisting spells. For example a sword that gives you a very small chance to summon a cyclone (like monks sweeping wind- cyclone) or maybe chance to cast a whirlwind type attack everytime you attack that's just an AoE attack that does normal weapon damage to everyone around you. Will be interesting to see, but I'm not getting my hopes up. They will never make them too powerful because then of course legendaries would be the only option for min/maxers.

posted a message on Selling Source/Mojo price check
I have these 2 offhands that I'm trying to sell, they just went through a full duration no-buyout auction listing with the starting price as the vendor price. I was surprised really. I don't know much about offhands but these seem pretty good, anyways if someone can tell me their value or just make me an offer thanks.
