    Quote from Demonmonger

So many different concepts and ideas, something other than this current system where hours played is the entire portion of success. People need to understand that just because you are a casual, it does not mean you do not want to compete, it means you have other things to do in life aside from play this game for nearly 18 hours every single day. It is not right to bottlekneck the entire crowd the way that they do.

People need to understand that if you don't have the time to compete in seasons then don't cry about it... There is still non-season. Hours played will always be what determines your success in a game like this. Someone that has 2000 hours will always have an advantage over a player that only has 200 hours, even if they have the exact same gear the 2000 hours guy will have an advantage due to paragon.

    Quote from Demonmonger

I personally think it is quite simple, seasons are not a reset, you do not start fresh in terms of gear. Seasons are simply a wipe of the leaderboards, a new climb, etc... This allows even the moderate player ( a player like myself someone who can get 200-300 hours into a season school and work pending.) to compete on a certain standard with others.

You just explained non-season... Go play non-season because clearly that's what you want to play.

    Quote from Demonmonger

I know they are adding other features like pets, transmog, etc... to seasons, but why does that require a reset?

Maybe because the reset has NOTHING to do with the pets, transmogs, etc... You don't seem to know why season exist..

For the Crusader it seems, no Sages, but even faster clears with almost perma Thorn horse.

u are so wrong that crusader dont have a death breath build.. it will be one of the fastes in the game in season 5..

I wrote that Crusaders probably will be fastest clearers = most DB's and you tell me I said Crusaders have no DB build...

im talking about there is a DB build for crusader and it will be faster then all other chars..

And yes u did say crusader didnt have any DB build and thats so much wrong.. DB build = u waering SAGE

Crusader do have a DB build and it will be one of the fastes in season 5..

Do u even know what u wrote u self. ?? hehehe becuase im not talking about they cant do fast DB and than its = more db IM TALKING about there is a DB build and it will be the fastes

So, to be a DB build you need to use Sages? Yea, I don't agree with that..

If a build without Sages nets you more DB per hour than a build with Sages are you still going to claim that it's not a DB build?

Thanks Xd, and I've got a monitor so the money is just for the tower. Will check out that subreddit

Make a post on that subreddit and ask for help on improving the build, the guys over there are better than me at finding the best price to performance ratio. So just link them the list I made and let them improve upon it.

Make sure that you tell them your budget and that it's in AUD not in USD so you get accurate responses.

No, that computer is a scam.

What is your budget? I can put together a build on PCPartPicker for you.

My budget would be about $800 AUD. Best I can do.
Also, how do you guys learn so much about computers and parts? all of this talk about optical drives and GPU's, I've got no idea what this means. Has anyone got a good site that teaches all of this kind of terminology?

Do you need a monitor and peripherals or can all of the budget go to PC parts?

Will setup a build on PCPartPicker for you. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/TYcMzy <- I haven't chosen a case for it, but there are about 50AUD left in the budget for a case. It's hard to choose a case for someone else since they are up to personal preference.

Mostly learned from experience, but great places to learn are subreddits like /r/buildapc

Do you know anyone that can build the PC for you? Like a friend or family member. If you don't then I suggest watching Youtube guides on building a PC, it's actually really simple, kinda like building with lego.

If you don't want to order parts from several different sites I could give you a list of parts from a site of your choosing, just give me a link.

How much RAM on the Graphics Card? I would hope at least 2 GB.

Not sure if you can negotiate with them, but you should dump the optical drive and opt for an SSD.

250 GB are about 75USD and is a huge improvement over running your OS on a HDD.

TBH, 500GB are are going for close to 100USD, so better price point.

But, if you are negotiating a trade, the 250 GB is good enough for the OS and a few games you play.

I doubt they would go for the upgrade all the way to 500GB.

Just a negotiating strat, get the 250GB and offer the price difference to get 500 afterwards.

If you need an optical, just get a USB one, they are cheap, now. You only need them to load games.

Most games are downloaded online these days and dumped to local storage.

The PC with the specs OP posted wouldn't even be able to play Diablo 3 without lagging even on lowest resolution and settings.
The APU is crap.. The PC doesn't even have a dedicated GPU since the GPU listed is the integrated one in the APU.

You would get under 30fps in Diablo 3 even on lowest settings and low resolution.
Instead of spending money on upgrading to a SSD on that PC you could just add 100-150 extra AUD and buy a computer that can play the game at 1080p 60fps.

Depth Diggers do not increase the damage on Wizard primary abilities even with the new belt, at least not when the belt is cubed.

Are they bugged, or does blizz just not want Wizards to spam signature spells :p?
Most likely bugged, Depth Diggers are supposed to work for Wizards if you got the new belt since the belt turns your signature spells into resource generators. Blizzard has already confirmed this on Twitter, but in my case it's not working.

Hmmm, think it would be possible to make a tanky melee mage? with Spectral Blade, the new belt, depth diggers, SS, DMO maybe Endless Walk, throw in the new chest that gives DR when above 90% resource.

Basically dropping Slow time on top of yourself constantly, spamming EB on CD and Spectral Blade as filler.

    Something like this: http://ptr.d3planner.com/464197945

But with the stats filled in to the right ones :p, I'm thinking lots of crit... Because crit.

posted a message on Confused by tooltips, which means what?

You need to account for the damage increase from your primary stat and 300% increased damage is 4 times higher damage not 3 times.

2set raiment is better than 2set sunwuko, you should try to get the 2 shenlong weapons, they should be easy to get by upgrading rares.

Shenlong is much easier to get and with raiment 2set you can pretty much go to t6 or even t7 immediately if your toughness and healing is good enough.

U6 relies on too many items to be a short term goal, but as a long term goal it's a beast.

No you can't permastun or permaknockback, in 2.3. Now in 2.2 you could probably do it but it's not worth the sacrifice in damage.

Set is far too weak in its current form. 52 is speed run territory next patch.

    Quote from Specy3go-next

IMHO, The set is still too weak on its own, I'd combine that with Tal Rasha's set for the 150% damage boost.

You must not have been following the PTR progress, it's currently the highest gr clearing wizard build,

Highest than full tal'rasha or del'rasha or vyr'rasha, full archon set (with ofc the broken belt) is 2 rifts above any tal on PTR...
imo if they exchange the 6pc bonus with the belt bonus we are gtg.

Can't really look at PTR progress though, most PTR players are using the new sets so of course the other sets get lower ranks.

posted a message on 2.3 Boss Farming finally a thing, or only because of 2000% buff?

I haven't entered the PTR yet, but you should be able to correlate the drops from boss chests to that of a rift. Even at the 2000% drop rate, you should be able to get a good enough sample size and correlate the two

No, you really can't. The chest drops like 5-6 items and with the 2000% drop rate pretty much all of them are legendaries everytime, you are "lucky" to find a non-legendary from them. So to get a significant amount of data you would need to open thousands to ten thousand chests, which is going to be pretty much impossible with 5-21 hour queue times.

I would like to argue Bagstone's point about them lowering the drop rate in D3V.

I've been playing since Beta, I got to even Beta ROS.

I'm a casual player (I play every Monday night for 3-5 hours) and that's almost all I play all week.

Sometimes with time permitting I will be on in the mornings to do a Grift/Rift before work.

When the AH was around, I had no problem gearing up my Barbarian http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/LiquidGold-1720/hero/19791886

And was doing MP8-10 effectively and I would find 7-10 legendaries an hour when I was farming. Granted they all sucked because the stat affixes were horrible. But when I did find a gem of an item I would make lots of money on the AH.

I got my Barb geared the hard way, and AH my way to greatness on my Monk. My Monk had the luxury of finding a perfectly rolled Inna's belt that I sold for 2 billion on the AH, I'm still sitting on some of that money I bet (I never dropped below 300 million gold after that sale).

I'm a casual player, and I never noticed in D3V that drop rates sucked.

HOWEVER... T6 Rifts don't seem to drop legendaries at all... I could do 2 or 3 and not see a single legendary.

I do a level 1 Grift and see 2, do an 11, see 2, do a 21, see 2-3, do a 31 see 0... It seems to be completely random.

I feel like an entire 2 hours of Rifting nets me nothing some weeks, so we've decided to just GRIFT.

Overall though, I don't think Botters affect me because I don't care about leaderboards. I do however think Blizzard should be more vigilant in banning botters and taking peoples reports of botters seriously. I once was banned from WoW for botting and I haven't ever botted again after that, wasn't worth the risk to me. Today, people don't feel there is any risk to botting so it is rampant.

Funny, considering most players me included have around 30-40 legendaries per hour by speed farming grift 35.

Whether you think D3V had good drop rates or not is irrelevant because it's a fact that Blizzard nerfed the drop rate because of the auction house, they even said so themselves. I call bullshit on you not getting a single legendary in 2-3 T6 rifts, it might be true if you skip everything and only kill the RG and then leave. Open chests, clear the whole thing, don't just kill the minimum amount required.

On another note I find it rather amusing that people are claiming that Blizzard does not ban botters, they in fact do ban botters and huge banwaves are coming regularly.
