I wish I could blacklist everyone that just leaves public GR as soon as they die or feel they won't get as carried as they would prefer.

posted a message on Witcher 3 got runewords

Runewords, with the d2-model, was very awesome indeed.

Sadly Blizzard did not parse the feedback on them properly, and they chose to not implement them in D3.

The problem in D2 was how they were by far the most powerful gear you could get. (a balance issue)

They neglect how the runeword system provided a "long-term" goal to work towards, and with that added some longevity.

Either this is just to satisfy the need for instant-gratification for the facebook-generation of gamers, or the D3 devs share their views.

The fans of the franchise is very loyal to Diablo, (in comparison to WoW) and hence Diablo 3 will probably continue to live for at least a decade after development of it shuts down.

posted a message on Bring us back the old good days.

It's not about making the game worse.

After legendary drop rates got their permanent buff, the pace of gearing was in a fairly good spot, even with kadala present.

But the cube, regardless of how nice it's functions are, did make the gearing process way too short.

Combined with how few classes are desirable for group play, this really kills the longevity for many players.

Blizzard surely know that sometimes the right path is two steps forwards and one step back.

posted a message on Mythic Rythm, how its work well?

Snapshotting is a real PITA. Hopefully Blizzard acknowledge this and make the EP damage more dynamical with buffs.

The important thing to bear in mind is that you are only able to overwrite an existing EP by applying it manually.

(Uliana's 2set will not overwrite an existing EP)

So what EP you spread or carry with you is determined by all the buffs when you originally applied that EP the first time.

posted a message on Double Bounty..... More like Double Lag

The human eye and its brain interface, can process 10 to 12 separate (FPS) images per second, perceiving them individually.
The threshold of human visual perception varies depending on what is being measured. When looking at a lighted display, people begin to notice a brief interruption of darkness if it is about 16 milliseconds or longer.

5ms is not only technically very challenging to achieve through several hops, but also just as impossible for a human to detect by experiencing it.

posted a message on This Banwave is a joke imo

    "Schadenfreude ist die Beste Freude"

There is alot of truth to this, and it's very suitable and pleasant in this setting.

That alot of players feel of rejoice and happyness, over the misfortune of the ones caught exploiting is just a good sign.

About the bans, it's a small and slow step in the right direction.

Hopefully Blizzard picks up the pace with the banhammer for bots, huds and whatnots.

posted a message on "Ban all the botters"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warden_(software)

Warden (also known as Warden Client) is an anti-cheating tool integrated in many Blizzard Entertainment games.

While the game is running, Warden uses operating system APIs to collect information about certain software running on the user's computer and sends it back to Blizzard servers as hash values to be compared to those of known cheating programs or simply as a yes/no response (whether a cheat was found). Some privacy advocates consider the program to be spyware.

The things Warden currently looks for in-process includes but is not limited to:

      • Model edits.
      • Known cheat modules (DLLs)
      • Known modifications to game functions
      • Known cheating addons
      • Speedhacks
      • Known API hooks from cheats

The things Warden currently looks for out-of-process includes but is not limited to:

      • Known cheating drivers

Warden also has a protection module in it, which provides users security from malware, keyloggers, and rootkits which hide keyloggers.
If Warden detects a known piece of malware active on the system, it will block the user from logging into the game, and will display a screen which directs them to Blizzard's support site for removal instructions.

On 23 June 2010 Blizzard updated the Warden Anti-Cheat Platform to version 2—named Warden 2.0—with World of Warcraft Patch 3.3.5.

Games that use Warden include Diablo II (since patch 1.11), StarCraft (since patch 1.15), StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, Warcraft III (since 2009-04-14, patch 1.23), Diablo III, and World of Warcraft.

posted a message on Solo ONLY play Leaderboards.

A real solo environment is what Diablo 3 really miss in my opinion.

Blizzard is focusing on promoting the social-aspects too much.

They have a goal that regardless of how well geared you are, bringing in a poorly geared friend should always make the game better for you.

This is why mobs hardly scale (25%) when bringing in another player.

But seriously how long would it really take to get that poorly geared friend up to par?

The lack of scaling just makes multiplayer easier, not better. Easier is not the same as better.

I've ran 2 grifts in a group (upto 35 iirc), but I've had fun pushing upto gr60 for the achie solo.

The achie is quite easier in multiplayer and not better by any means as an example.

posted a message on Guidance For The Newly Returned

When it comes to hunting for 1 specific item, both spending blood shards at kadala, and upgrade rares with the cube is way to go.

In D2 all mobs had their fixed levels and treasure classes determining what loot tables they dropped loot from.

This is different in D3 (now) due to how both the levels of mobs and loot, is determined by your level.

posted a message on 30 second timer

The wait timer can be annoying especially when trying to push high Grifts solo.

It would be nice with an option to forfeit the timer to get rid of the wait times.

But Blizzard can and should punish the whole group for 1 members failure.

That is like the basics of any multiplayer game.

The difference between playing in group contra solo in Grifts is very skewed, and it would be healthy for the game if Blizzard decide to balance it out.

posted a message on Why do people do full clears on regular Rifts?

Would be nice if all who payed the rift key got a confirmation whether or not to close rift.

There is no good reason why 1 of the group should be able to close rift and leave, if rest wants to continue.

It's just as fun as people leaving a raid, waiting for teleport timer and pull boss in wow terms.

posted a message on Why do people do full clears on regular Rifts?

It still seems to me, that some rifts grant you way more legs than others. (rifts or group members)

When I get such a rift where legs continuously drop for me, I naturally like to complete it.

But with a group I'd respect whatever reason people may have for wanting what they do.

People play games to have fun, not everyone thinks squeezing in as many runs in an hour as possible is the most fun way to play.
