Quote fromThey did say the PTR would be up first.. makes sense. So maybe they'll have information on the PTR?
That's what I'm thinking it might be. Either that, or they finally had a breakthrough with the increased stash and just have to share the news with all of us (and then proceed to say that the patch will be released "soon").
Blizzard time > Valve time, y/y?

GameStop? Maybe it's just my area, but I've never known a GameStop (or even Wal-Mart, and they take anything) to take used PC games for trade/credit. They've let you exchange for the same title, but not a new game.

I stated this a few pages back, but one of the "big whines" has to do with competitive gaming.
I recommend reading those links. It may give you some insight as to why this is such a big deal for PC users.
As far as modding goes, that's just kind of a given when it comes to PC games. I'll admit that we're a picky bunch, but we pretty much have to be. Unlike console users, PC users can't return a game if they don't like it; we can't trade our games in for the newest and hottest titles out there, so rather than play the same game for years on end, we turn to modding.
Take a look at Diablo, for example. Mods like Median XL and Eastern Sun are incredibly popular because they present new ways to play the game. It's still Diablo, but it's something different than doing thousands of Baal runs at end-game.

Whatever. I'll just stick with Valve and DICE for my FPS gaming needs.

I recently purchased Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway for my fiance - XBox controls were a part of the keyboard configuration. Now, I know that you can use a controller for PC gaming, but at first glance, that just seems like lazy programming to me.
As far as making games more console friendly, I don't think this has ever been truthier than now with the Call of Duty series. Just look at the mess that Modern Warfare 2 has been making.
But... but... it's Rosa. Besides, she was wearing questionable armor before it was cool.
Also, she's a white mage, but still... yeah, I know.

You just reminded me of something that cheeses me off about gaming, so thanks.
I wish that developers would stop giving PC gamers crappy ports of console games. It wasn't so bad before, but now it's gotten to the point of ridiculous.

This, damn it.
MMORPGs are notorious for this. I am so sick of playing a female character only to find out that the higher level they get, the less they wear. Sorry, but I like my character actually wearing armor when fighting the bad guys, and not prancing around in a chain bikini and spiked heel boots.
I think the only MMO I've played that doesn't do this is Lord of the Rings Online. I was pleasantly surprised to find that female characters actually wore appropriate attire.
Well, yes and no. Like SNowfreak said, it depends on the genre.
Take a game like Portal, for instance. The game was only about four hours long (if that), but for the game type, it was perfect; if the game were any longer, the gameplay itself would have gotten stale.
Then again, Portal was relatively cheap from what I remember, so... I guess I have no point.

I'm going to hang out and wait for the Great Pumpkin. I know he'll come because I have the most sincere pumpkin patch, and he respects sincerity.

My only concern is that it sounds like the gameplay is going to be similar to Darkfall... and that's not something I'm too crazy about.

Thanks, guys. It's nice seeing some familiar faces again. It makes it less awkward coming back.

Hopefully B:BC2 will live up to expectations. If not, well... that's going to suck.

I think Modern Warfare 2 will do well on console, but I'm not really sure about PC. Like I said before, Infinity Ward basically slapped PC gamers in the face with this announcement - most people I know that have cancelled their MW2 preorders are now, like you, putting that money toward Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I can't say that I blame them.

Oh, well.
