Seriously, you'll beg for a ladder at that point, because your chars have crossed a point where they don't get any upgrades anymore. This game is not made for years long gearing and leveling. In 6 months your chars will be "maxed".
But if the ladder patch came with newer and better legendaries, our characters won't be "maxed" anymore. That's already incentive enough for me to continue playing the game on my old character, if they will drop on non-ladder.

I'm not sure how to rate that.... "demon hunter" of yours :P

    @tychoblu
I think you have the right idea with yours build and gear. You should be able to farm monster power 0 or 1 with some efficiency. The rest is just being patient and gradually improve each slots.

For what its worth, I got about 10 legendaries yesterday doing this run about 6 times. Probably the RNG god favoring me, but the speed in which you dispatch mobs contribute to that as well.

For skills, I'm using multishot since it clears mobs faster for me. Vengeance rune also helps refill both hatred and stamina.

IcyInsanity almost has the same DPS as you even without sharpshooter on. I think that's he meant about it being "good enough".

Apart from that, I agree with you. If I manage to craft a hellfire ring like you got, I'd be farming it up at low monster power level too.

First you can get an xbow with + crit dmg or socket. Your rings can have crit stats on them and you also need a lot more all resist imo about 300.

Small edit: since you already have quite a lot of crit chance compared to crit dmg. Some + crit dmg will make a big bump in your dps.

u need what as DH? Aress? Realy?

Im at 74 to max 130 ares on my DH and im facerolling A3. Nope, im not using ToC.

Well, you can see my build here:

    http://eu.battle.net...14/hero/1209941

as DH u need fast fingers, good eyes and some skill to manage.

and in 1.0.5 when they nerf gloom from 65 to 35 i will just use Sentry with 15% dmg reduction (for mp up to ~~8) and passiv with 20% reduction (mp9-10)

Personally I recommend a moderate amount of all res. You don't need excessive amount, around 200-300 or so helps out a lot. I prefer not to have to concentrate too much while farming.

Try to think of it in terms of effective health too. Sometimes more armor or more vitailty will increase your survivability more than increase all res. That's why I recommend using the damage calculator.

Easiest and most effective thing to do is to use the damage calculator ASAP. It helps simplify a lot of decision.

The wrist definitely. Then gradually replace gears with the same legendary with better stats like all res. Also, try to get increase pickup radius on some items..... It saves me so much time and concentration. Same deal with increase health globe regeneration, though that's not so necessary.

I would wait until after the patch though. Never know what you'll need then.

I also think you don't need bat companion with multi shot - fire at will as your sole hatred spender. I had mine swapped out for Rain of Vengeance - Beastly Bomb. It works out well.

y, as i already said, havent seen those wrists with all res on ah for rly long time...

i actually use bat cuz im doin xp runs alakizer style, that means im doin rly fast runs of few areas and im usin multishot as my main attack cuz i can oneshot almost everthin with just very little stops in my vault speed run, for party play i use bombs or cluster instead of bat for nukin elites...

If you're doing the alkaizer route, I find that using Vengeance is generally more beneficial than bats. The rate you pick up health orbs will fill your hatred more than a bat will. It also helps with the slight discipline regen as well. Try it out, maybe you'll like it!

Where does it says that Monster Power will increase monster levels? From : ''Affixes on items will now roll their level based on the level of the monster killed (rather than the item’s level)'' I only take from that that lvl61 mobs in act 1 will drop ilvl58+ items with lvl61 affixes, lvl62 act 2 mobs will drop ilvl58+ items with lvl62 affixes, etc.

This. Monster Power of 10 (I assume) will give some sort of bonus to MF/GF. Say 10% per level, so at Monster Power 10 you can have a maximum MF of say 400% instead of 300%.

That kind of sucks in a way, because I personally was hoping I could farm Act 1 on a high monster power rather than farming Act 3 (for some variety). But if it's only going to be lvl 61 affixes, screw that.

I agree completely. There's no reason at all to play earlier acts if that's the case.

In fact, I'm not sure I like the idea even if it turns out like the OP thought. It would encourage everybody to use cookie cutter builds that can do monster level 10.... most likely at the cost of enjoyment and build diversity. The current affix system is fine IMO.

In the end, its all gonna come down to farming efficiency. Even classes that can do sustain dps against 50 million hp might not want to waste time fighting mobs for minutes instead of seconds, and want to lower the monster level. I suspect builds from now on will be rated on which level they can take on.

There might also be builds that specialize in clearing easier contents quickly, thus improving farming efficiency.

Of course, this is all speculation. I do hope class remains reasonably balance at the higher level.

How do you fare solo? Some of your problems could also be about your partner. One of the reasons people die is because they run out of discipline before they can finish off a mob. If your combined dps is too low, that could be your cause of death.

Hmm... I'd rather get enough resistance to take a few hits at least. You don't need a tank build to do that. You play the same as usual, but you can afford to make some mistakes!

You can call me lazy if you want, but I'd rather be relaxing a bit while I'm farming.

Nothing easy. You just need to gradually get better gears, starting with getting your damage much higher. I suspect its the bow that's dragging it down for now. What its dps?
