This is true, but I also notice you have sharpshooter active in those screenshots. Having sharpshooter with a 100% crit chance will cause your tooltips to overvalue critical hit damage. The actual damage boost won't be as dramatic as you obviously don't have 100% crit chance all the time. I suggest taking sharpshooter off before you compare gear.Quote from DaenThe stats make it better. High dex and crit damage.

Posted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsQuote from BabelEver since the patch, I'm now using a build that relies a lot on health globes. I have about 20000 HP per life globes pick up on my gear. I have 30k hp so each globes pretty much refills my HP.
I use this with Vengeance rune. With 550 resist, I can survive almost any one shot in act 3 now. If I can get hit, I just smoke screen to the nearest health globe and I'm back to full fighting shape again.
With the NT nerf, I'm now using multishot again for AOE. It works well with vengeance rune. For spender, I'm using Impale with Grievous Wound. Big number when it crits!
This build is not great for big bosses like Siegebreaker, but there's really no need anymore to fight them since fighting elites now give much better rewards. I just clear the entirety of act 3 in 2 hours and get like 50 rares lol.
Yeah, I'm using a similar vengeance centric build but with cluster arrow + loaded for bear as my spender. I also use shadow power/gloom for my defensive, but the strategy is somewhat similar. With the huge burst damage of cluster arrow in my crit focused build, I'm able to constantly pop out health globes to both heal me when shadow power is down, as well as gather more hatred for cluster arrow. Plus, the extra max hatred allows me to get 3 cluster arrows off instead of 2. I feel like vengeance is a really underrated passive, and as Demon Hunters begin to move away from the pure glass cannon build I can see it getting a lot more use.

Your total intelligence is good for Act 3, but you need to specialize in a secondary offensive stat, like crit or attack speed. I don't know what build you're using, but if you're going to stick with a 2h weapon I would find another 2h with crit damage or an empty socket for an emerald, and then get new rings/amulet/gloves/bracers/helm to maximize crit chance and crit damage. If you can do that while keeping roughly the same amount of intelligence (1600~1800) then you should be just fine in Act 3.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Would you mind posting some of your gear for comparison's sake? I have a very similar build I recently switched to. I'm only missing a good weapon and I really want to know what your weapon is like to get crits that high. The highest I've seen with my current build is 120k, and I'm very close to your intel/crit damage. Of course, I'm also using a 1h+source. I didn't think I would gain that much damage per orb by changing to 2h, but if 300k crits are possible then I'll definitely start looking for a 2h weapon. I really prefer the 'bursty' style of this build. Fights are over a lot faster and I have to kite less than the piercing orb/blizz/hydra build I was using.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
