    Build Update!

Its been a few days since I first posted this build, and I've had a lot more time to play with it and tweak the build to make it even more efficent, allowing you to use Heavens Fury more often, and gain a some mobility to make your run even faster.

Condemn --> Judgment(Resolved)- In place of Condemn I have decided to switch over to Judgment for a few reasons. First, it is a great ability when you want to keep something in place so that you can hit it with Heavens Fury, and with resolved run you gain 80% chance crit chance to all enemies caught in the Judgment, allowing you to do more damage. Second, this ability allows for the moments where you got caught in a frozen or behind a wall and took a little to much damage and need to back away from the fight so you can heal before heading back in.

Akarat's Champion --> Steed Charge(Endurance) -While Akarat's is an amazing ability when using the Fires of Heaven rune due to its great attack speed steroid, wrath regen rate, and its potential CDR reduction when you deal damage, it is a very very long cool down. In the 90 seconds that it is on cool down, I've found myself running into 2 or more groups countless times and not being able to use it. So I have swapped it for the Steed. This allows to make it around areas much quicker, and also as a fight utility incase you get stuck in a bad jail/frozen.

Bombardment --> Shield Glare(Zealous Glare) -Bombardment does amazing damage. If you can get it to hit every shot on the same target, you can easily be hitting it for 30,40, even 50 million+ damage. But there in lied the problem, getting ever shot to hit your target. With Condemn(Vacuum) this did make this task a little easier but you could still easily miss if the target ran or something was just off screen and started taking the shots. So i switched out to Shield Glare. This gives some nice crowd control if you get in a bad way with to many mobs at once or if you got back into a corner and need to get a few free shots in. But the main reason that I took this was the 9 wrath per enemy blinded. This with the ability having only a 12 second cool down allows for much much faster play. Gather minions together use all your wrath and simply blind a large group to do it all over again. And with such high damage on Heavens Fury, this more than makes up for the lose of damage from Bombardment andCondemn.

These few changes have definatly made this build much easier to clear higher torment difficulties, giving you more speed, survivability, and most importantly, much more damage. This helps to make the runs much more enjoyable, more large crits more often killing those rare packs even more efficently!

Hey everyone, this build is a break away from the main ability that people have been using on Crusader, Blessed Hammer. While it is an amazing skill that has both low cost and good damage i feel like there is other options that need to be considered when looking at the class.

    The Build

Primary-Slash(Zeal)-Slash is what i have been using as my primary wrath generator. Combined with the rune Zealyou get a nice bonus to attack speed which comes in handy when using a 2-handed weapon. Also with its ability to cleave it makes it great for clearing mobs quickly when they are bunched together.

Utility-Condemn(Vacuum)-This is one of the main damage abilities when running around killing the minions of hell. Great for all situations, this ability has high damage, and with Vacuum, allows you to bring more minions in to take the full force of its damage. This rune can take some getting used to, as you can easily trap yourself with to many enemies and take more damage than you wanted to, but with some practice, and learning how it works on the move you can use it to its full power.

Conviction-Heaven's Fury(Fires of Heaven)-This will be your greatest damaging ability. This allows you to deal 950% weapon damage instantly to all enemies in a line in the direction cast, however at the cost of 40 wrath. While this may seem terrible at first, I will later explain why I believe that this is one of the strongest abilities in our arsenal.

Conviction-Akarat's Champion(Rally)-This one is pretty straight forward, a 20 second steroid that increases wrath regen, grants bonus attack speed, and with Rally grants potential cool down reduction.

Conviction-Bombardment(Annihilate)- Another somewhat straight forward ability. Great for use on elite packs, deals very high damage with Annihilate rune as this makes every shot have 100% crit chance. Combined with Condemn(Vacuum)you can bring your enemies closer to maximize the damage this ability can do.

Laws-Laws of Valor(Critical)-A great ability when dual wielding, granting a passive 8% attack speed. With the rune Critical, it is best to use its active at the same time as Bombardment, this gives your already guaranteed crits to do an extra 100% bonus crit hit damage, as well as the rest of the damage that you have.

    Passives

Heavenly Strength- Straightforward, allows you to use a 2-handed weapon in 1 hand.

Holy Cause- Deals increased holy damage on your weapon, but also heals you for 1% of your max life every time you deal holy damage.

Wrathful- This is one of your main sustain abilities. Heals 825 per wrath spent. So when using an ability that cost 40 wrath as your main damage, the amount healed is pretty high.

Lord Commander-Main reason for this is the 20 second cool down reduction on Bombardment, this allows it to match up pretty nicely with zeal so you always have it at the same time.

    How it stacks up-

Pros-This build provides a nice alternative to the standard in the crusader realm. High damage and great sustain allow for fast and easy clears. Cool downs line up fairly nice allowing for easily elite and champion pack kills.

Cons- It can have some trouble with waller mobs, as from what I can tell heavens fury doesn't do damage through it. This build also doesn't use any of the crusaders defensive talents, so it may require a little more gear to survive. I unfortunately don't have any gear that I was able to swap out to test this on a new to 70 crusader.

    Why Heavens Fury?

With such a high multiplier on the Fires of Heaven rune, you are able to do an incredible amount of burst damage to large groups of enemies. Using Condemn to bring enemies into the fight this lines them up perfectly for Heavens Fury. Along with the high amount of damage out of Condemn you can watch as you one shot large groups of enemies in no time at all.

Making this even more effect and what I think makes it one of the best abilities in the game is the new legendary for Cruasaders, Fate of the Fell. This legendary has the passive, Gain two additional rays of Heavens Fury. This then turns this normal ability into a wave of destruction that is more powerful than you would think. While using this you can do great damage to a larger area, however, there is a sweet spot in which you can cause the enemies to take the damage from all 3 beams, essentially tripling its damage output. This makes for even faster clearing.

I hope that this build works as well for you guys as it has worked for me. Any input on variatiosn would be great to here.
