I always focus on target with Palm on it, but never thought about teaming up with a DH for the extra buff.

If/when Blizzard implements a real self-found only option for the game, then I'll start to get interested about seeing people's gear.
I'd like to see that too actually

I've used the RMAH plenty, but only for selling, never buying. My chars value is a very small fraction of what i've made on gold AH. I got more gold atm, than all of my characters (5x lvl60) items combined cost me. I'm pretty happy with my barb.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
This doesn't mean anything, because of what the guy above me said. A large amount of players did the same as me, but better/more successfully.
profile in signature if you want to have a look...
edit: ok well after post #3 i probably dont qualify anymore, although i did find a single item that i sold for more gold than my barb costed. (63 gloves sold for 1.2b)

Only difference in my findings is that the weird stuff starts happening with 75% not 80%, to which Ruthless seems to be the crux.
Ah right! I did forget about Ruthless. Thanks for pointing that out / testing it.

I know why people craft gear; hell, I do it myself. I was just wondering why (and how) people keep track of exactly (or approximately) how many pieces they have crafted.
Could be different reasons.
-it tells you how many essences have you acquired since 1.0.7
-some ppl like to say 'i got this item after xx crafts'
-you can estimate how much gold have you spent on crafting
and silimar reasons.
Not that it is particularly useful to keep the count on completely random crafts . I guess it's just a 'fun fact'?
^ talking about the BoA items
When it comes to crafting weapons though, keeping count is useful in determining whether it's worth to keep doing it, considering the rewards. Although you could judge that also by getting the data from ppl who already crafted a bunch

How do you people keep track of how many pieces you have crafted?
Mostly just guessing.
Also, some ppl like to hoard a big number of essences, like 500, then craft all at once. That way its easy to remember how many times you've done that.

You can easily get 20 more str and over 100 armor from chest for a few mils. If you don't care about MF you could get similar to what i got. Lacuni with 6% crit or a craft with very high str and some EHP. Keep crafting amulet. Rest is expensive, but still possible to find within budget. Also, gems are a 1 time investment, so you ought to think about that.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
If you go for crafted bracer, Zuni boots are a great way to go for MS and DPS.

Looks like you've just started the char and by the looks of it, you don't have a big budget, more info from your side would help...Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Since i assume you have next to no gold, you can start with some IK (Immortal King) pieces. Boots, chest and belt with basic rolls all go for very cheap. Try to get physical resist or maybe fire on boots and chest, some vit on belt with 190-199 str. If you want to use andariel's, get a STR version obviously and don't take anything over 7% fire dmg. Otherwise IK with 6% crit. Hell you can even go for 5 set.
Grab a Litany of the Undaunted with avg dmg or life%/vit, 7% elite reduction. Save up for an Echoing Fury for your OH if you can.
Other than that, just increase all stats, try to get 50+% crit chance or so, some AS and CHD where you can. STR needs to go above 2k ASAP, which will give you some armor too. In the future, you will want at least 1 weapon with LS, for now LoH is fine. Defenses depend on MP, but long term you're aiming at 40+k HP, about 500 resists, 5% LS.
If it turns out you do have enough gold to make bigger purchases, the advice would be different.

93% was what i was able to achieve with a shield too. At 80% something strange starts happening, jsut like Kaoskadosk was saying.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
When i set up my crit chance from gear for 79.5% additional 1% (or any amount) only took me to 80%
My findings w/o WotB and 74% from gear+passives:
Battle rage + scoundrel active (80% crit chance), OP takes me to 83% (Revenge does the same)
If i remove battle rage, but keep scoundrel (77% ), OP takes me to 80%.
If i remove scoundrel, but keep battle rage (77%), OP takes me to 83%.
If i remove both (74%), OP takes me to 80%
I was testing this in town, tripple checked.
Conclusion: Gear, set bonus,
passivesweapon master, scoundrel, OP and Revenge are capped at 80%75%, BR and WotB are not.+Ruthless
93% hard cap.
I assume HotA crit from fury goes to 100%, but i should test that.
This would mean killing spree is not worth using at high crit chance values, because you get its full potential 'only' up to 73% with BR+scoundrel or 73% with BR+enchantress. It's probably still worth it for less than 10%, but not sure at what point other ability would be better.
Obviously, these are not problems that barbs regularly have.

Here, i found it for youPosted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Btw. if you don't need LS from Skorn, it's possible to get -fury on HotA on it, making it even easier to never release your (3) button. (i too use HotA on 3 or 'e' )
