posted a message on sorta upset with the PTR...
They put the first skill you gain in the 1st slot on the bar when it opens. It doesn't happen again. This is like a noob feature saying "Hey you got a slot, now here is a skill, enjoy". It has nothing to do with the console. As to your vault issue, you lagged, again, nothing to do with console. Oh, hey, did you know that when ending a sentence you only need a single period? .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

More than half of those levels were done with 5 stacks in Act 3 as well... God I'm unlucky.

So lets make yet another repeat thread crying about "poor me i haven't gotten a legendary QQQQQQQQQQQQ"? I wish I was a mod, I would ban people like you outright at this point.

Fuck off dude... That is all

    Baby want his bottle?

posted a message on Diablo 3 Loot Servers - > Easy Legendary Drops?
I am running with 289 MF once NV is stacked

A1, pony level, #30, after farming 5 nv outside of pony level.

    5 ilvl 62
    7 ilvl 63

A1, pony level, #38, after farming 5 stack NV outside of pony level
    4 ilvl 61
    9 ilvl 62

A1, pony level, #135, after farming 5 stack NV outside of pony level
    9 ilvl 61
    4 ilvl 62
    7 ilvl 63
1 legendary 62 (fire walkers yay)
    1 legendary 63 (windforce yay)

My best run was in an IP opposite of what was stated int his thread. Debunked? No. Probably just lucky as fuck. But either way, I still think RNG is RNG and the idea of "loot servers" is probably bull. But for shits n giggles I will continue to fuck with the idea and post my findings.

BTW, the Firewalkers were a 2500 DPS increase over my previous boots and the Windforce was better than the one I already had. So to all the whiners out there saying you can't drop your own loot I say [email protected]

    Edit: formatting, spelling

posted a message on Why do gems give so little stats gain?
    Quote from Indimix

Is there a reason why gems give a max amount of 58 to stats when placed in "other" kind of item piece?.

I mean, shouldnt the best gem give something closer to 250-300 stat gain?

Enlight me, I dont see the reason of this, if there is one at all.

58 is little? Are you high?

    Quote from Tsukishima

Gearing is not dependent on AH.

You're supposed to use that BS to maintain equipment comparable for your level. Once you're in NM, you should also have significant gem upgrades which can make a world of difference as well for socketed weapons at that difficulty bracket.

Yep, that is theoretically correct. Of course, in practice, completely incorrect. You hit a wall in, say, Hell. What do you do?

    1. Grind for hours/days/weeks to get better gear so that you can progress.
    2. Spend a bunch of gold on the BS in hopes that one piece rolls well.
    3. Go to the AH and spend 10k on an OP weapon. Proceed to annihilate everything in your path until you hit inferno.

#3 is the obvious choice, and #3 is what 99% of people will chose. So, in practice, that is the design, regardless of the developer's original intent. What you're "supposed to do" is irrelevant. Why would anyone waste time/gold when I have a sure-fire route to success via the AH?

I am in almost total agreement with you Big.

The BS provides ALL upgrades throughout hell difficulty. People see the option of using the AH, and they see better items on AH than they get via BS and they assume those are what they need. Hell difficulty can be played through completely off the BS. I have done it on most of my 60's while selling good drops for other classes on the AH.

Loot in this game is RNG. Eventually you will hit a soft cap on your gear where upgrades drop so rarely that they seem to never drop. Whether Bliz ups the quality of drops or not people will still bitch and complain about this. It is a lose lose situation. That being said, the item quality of drops in D2 were even shittier than in D3. How often in D2 did you get a rare drop? I mean seriously? 90% of the loot that dropped in D2 was blue. In my expansive time playing D2 I dropped more legendaries than useful rares. Every person I know or have played with will say the same thing in a heartbeat so long as they aren't wearing their rose tinted nostalgia glasses.

The only reason loot seems to be worse in D3 than in D2 is because D3's difficulty is infinitely higher than it was in D2. D2 was a game created for autistic blind monkeys when compared to D3. D3 having such a higher difficulty means that loot and gear actually matters. In D2 you could clear all of normal, nightmare, and a majority of hell "EASILY" while wearing the immortal Kings set. Immortal kings in D2 was a pre lvl 20 set. That speaks volumes about how terribly different D2 and D3 difficulty is.

Unfortunately some people are not intelligent enough to understand this and instead will make crybaby posts on unofficial forums.

Also, your comment about "supposed to do" hits the nail on the head. OP talks about "supposed to" or "should be able to" or whatever other nonsensical bullshit he has been spouting. Fact is that I did not receive a rulebook with the game telling me how I was supposed to do anything in the game. Retarded assumptions and ignorance IMO.

posted a message on Jay Wilson vs David Brevik
Such a tired conversation. D2 was better blah blah blah.

OMG in D3 they have a storyline! THE WORLD IS ENDING!
OMG in D3 they aren't using a talent tree! THE WORLD IS ENDING!
OMG in D3 they are going to have 2 auction houses! YAY! (then after release) THE WORLD IS ENDING!

You know what is different between the games?

D3's difficulty is hugely increased compared to D1 and D2.
D3 did away with the need to haunt trade channels for 3-4 hours a night.
D3 did away with "all4SoJ" trade games.
D3 did away with the 3 boss farm and repeat.
D3 made a better MF system with NV.
D3 made better graphics and a destructible environment that is actually pretty cool.
D3 is adding PvP arena and have done away with worrying about backstabbers in public games.

The only real change in D3 that makes you people cry is the fact that the difficulty makes gear more important that it was in D1 and D2. D1 and D2 you could play through front to back only using blue garbage that dropped for you. Hell, you could use the immortal kings set in D2 and clear normal and nightmare with it. Pathetic. Now gear matters, if you don't get the gear you don't progress, this is a complete 180 from D2. Do you really think you got more better drops in D2 than D3? Are you kidding me? You only think that because D2 has been out and played for what? 10? 11? years? Like anyone is going to accurately remember how D2 was in its first year. Such a joke.

As to Jay apologizing, fuck that. His apology was forced. Brevik took a big'ole steaming dump on a game Bliz has been working on for 3ish years. Yeah I would be pissed to. Jay proved himself to be a human being with emotions. @Brevik, yeah, Fuck that loser. Anyone who doesn't see a reason for Jay's reaction is either emotionally fucked up or just plain retarded. You put 3ish years of your life into a project and have a former fellow employee/friend come along and shit on it and see how you all feel.

posted a message on The [Non-Constructive/Conspiratorial] Rant Posts: What do you think?
    Quote from proletaria

    Edited for clarity.

It's no secret the posting quality around here has plummeted to an all-time low. Even with the oncoming patch, which some detractors have grudgingly accepted as positive, there are a small but persistent group of antagonistic persons who are flooding our boards with the same tired message.

We have all replied to their posts or one of their off-topic rants within another, often promising, thread. We have all seen the cancerous ruin spread from Diablo III General Discussion to every other sub-forum. We have all nearly exhausted our repetitious words attempting to calm the rabid haters, make them see reason, or simply stop posting on a forum dedicated to a game they passionately hate.

So what do you personally think about the current forum environment? Take the poll and feel free to leave a comment detailing your opinions on the matter.

I voted that they are not constructive. WTB some moderators who actually give a damn about these forums to start doing their jobs IMO.

Diablo 3 is a TERRIBLE GAME! Everyone should know this by now. I don't understand how people can flame people who make threads about WHY the game is that bad and what has to change.

YOU don't like the game so it is terrible? Seriously child, grow up and show some maturity. Just because you think something doesn't make it a fact, it makes it an opinion. Plus, this site is diablofans.com, not cryaboutdiablo3likealittlebitch.com, if you have a problem with the game take it to the official forums, or did you get banned off them like you should be banned here?

    No.

This is why you have gold, so you can go to the AH and buy items. This is also why you are able to sell items on the AH. All you have to do is look at the items dropping and figure out that while they may not be upgrades for you, they may be upgrades for other classes. Sell those items. There is your welfare points.

Just make this game like warcraft and when you equip an item, it becomes non-tradable.

(yeah that would go over well like a turd in a punch bowl)

You're right, but still it would drastically improve the economy and I'm all for this (just make it account-bound not character-bound on-equip).

How would taking items out of the economy lower prices at all? Like, that makes absolutely no sense at all.

The more competition on items the lower prices will go. Taking items out of the economy lowers the amount of competition. Im sorry but are you people even attempting to think before posting this stuff?
