Since your not doing a CM/WW build I would recommend you change to a 'decoy' build teleport + fracture with Mirror Image + the 5 dupelicates, thats the only way I found to easily kill those rippers even if they are extra health + shielding.
I have 54.1k unbuffed DPS and 2.9LS, I still have my 825LoH spear and weapon swap that to my off hand in cases that I cannot face tank a certain mob ( this usually happens in 3-4 player coop with my friends and I rarely switch when in solo play ), Im off to gain that 20K EHP, quite sad though that I was checking out a new shoulders which gives me 27k EHP and someone beat me to it
Im currently looking at a few cheap upgrades on the AH that increases my EHP by 20~22k depending on the parts that I upgrade, most of these parts have lower resist but have really high vitality and Im wondering about its effectiveness since I'll be taking more damage but I have more health pool but my life gain will still the same, I would also assume that potions would be 'less effective' now or does having 20k more EHP really corelate to being able to survive better regardless of lifestea/LoH ?
I think they need to rethink how they are changing firewalkers, monks will now be biased towards fire resistance because of the added molten damage, high dex (300) and gauranteed fire/elem resist.
not tanks, but persons stacking alot of survivability stats, to mitigate a lot of damage. maybe tank is not the best word for it but its the one commonly used.
I dont see how it would be a disadvantage to him, everyone gets the 95% nerf.
I have determined with absolutely metaphysical certitude, that no one will ever farm act3 inferno without spending 2.7 billion gold (precisely) on gear.
Life on hit is affected by skill modifiers, so some skills grant you a higher percentage of your total LoH number than others.
As far as I know, Life Steal is unnaffected by skill modifiers and thus you get the full value with every skill based on the damage you deal.
In that respect, doing math based off your total amount of LoH without knowing the skill modifiers of every skill on your loadout is pointless, as you are missing a variable in your equation.
I wish Blizzard would just come out and tell us what the numbers are so we could properly test and debate this.
True, this is what the paper comparison is missing. But even disregarding the hidden multipliers on the LoH, I cannot imagine how LS will actually be superior in terms of practical usage I mean you only drain 600HP per 100K damage delt, with my 825LoH I gain that per hit. But of course LS is cheaper.. A combination of both would be great.
After a few days of play testing and comparing, I still find my 825LoH spear far better than my 2.9LS axe ( with the axe I get 1k more dps ) I've also managed to increase my dps by upgrading a few things which gives me 59.8k as of now. I understand that there are some of you who are advocating that LS is better and I respect that opinion.

You sure? My gear is not even over 50M and I can farm A3, not at the pace that I do A1 but its already a "farming state" for me.

I agree on this.
EDIT:
A friend lent me his trifecta gloves which increases my dps to 6.6k more.. the single 2.90LS is still not better in all conditions compared to LoH.
