ARRRgh you people are retarded
You do realise that MP 0-1 is the best for farming right?
Complaining that a barb does better than monks on mp3+ is just pointless. You never, ever want to run that monster power except for farming keys or doing ubers.
Tempest rush build for monk is probably the best farmer in the game right now.
On ubers, monks do just as well as barbs. Not being dependant on fury is very nice.
Also, back when the game was first released barbs were complaining about being underpowered, and everyone else was saying, "qq barbs are gear-dependant, get used to it". Now barbs have good gear and can actually perform how they are designed everyone is whining. You should have farmed back when your less gear-dependant class was dominating.

How on earth do you get the fury for all that?

It should be 8 minutes but it seems to bug a lot.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

ww barbs are a bit bad compared to how they used to be on the low MPS, cos they can't get the rage to keep wotb up nearly as much as before and as MP0 is the best for farming, this kinda sucks.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Tempest rush monk
Multishot+Tac. adv DH
Barb (probly joint 2nd with dh really)

Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's KeepQuote from cw300002h suck. yes, faster kill, but cannot keep wotb up. I dw with a echoing fury and able to keep wotb up the whole time. only problem with the echoing fury is it high fear. really annoying.
Is that on low MPs (like 0-2)? because if it's on higher then you probably wont be killing fast enough to compete with low MP and no WotB.
To comment on the OP's build, i notice you have 5 piece IK set, and imo that's really why your build works. I was trying it myself (dw not 2h but i figured it wouldnt make much odds) and the problem i had was when i wanted to charge you want to have a new sprint up as well, to spawn the tornadoes, but i sometimes didnt have enough fury to pop the sprint before i charged in. I have a feeling the IK set would really make the difference here.
Anyway apart from that i must say how intelligent your build design is. It answers many of the issues i have with the standard ww spec on low MPs (i.e. wotb uptime is a bitch)

Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru EikuraQuote from BlacKcuDQuote from ZranaPersonally i think the WD is in quite an exciting place right now, as it's only recently been buffed up to become a "proper" class and so there's a huge amount to explore. Remember how long it took barbs to come up with the ww build.
In terms of restriction, really the only skill I feel i couldnt do without is spirit walk (and let's be honest it's a really nice ability so can't complain).
Soul Harvest you can probably drop in lower MPs once you have the gear, and some of the longer ranged builds dont really need the extra damage and it would allow you to save your spirit walk and stay at range by not having it. Lets not forget also that the lower MPs are also the most efficient for farming.
Gargantuan is really nice but not absolutely essential. You could swap it out for something like Pyrogeist, Mass Confusion, Hex, Manitou or Spider Queen as some cool low mana/sec alternatives if you dont have the mana to spare for a heavier nuking spell.
Zombie dogs, imo you need either garg or dogs or both, but i prefer to get my dogs from things like Mass Confusion: Devolution or BBV: Boogie Man which fill 2 roles of combat help and summoning. There's also that passive but tbh i dont think many builds have room for it.
Speaking of passives, WD has by far the most choice. Only Bad Medicine (because jungle fortitude does the same job better) and Fierce Loyalty (because i don't have life regen or thorns gear) would I say are never worth using. All the rest have a place in a build.
Most classes have 2 passives you *have* to have and then the only choice is the 3rd slot and even then its only a choice between like 3 or 4 skills.
The OP mentioned Barbs as an example of a class with a lot of build choices. Definately Barbs are in a really good place right now, but imo barbs and WDs are the only classes with anything like the build diversity the game should have.
Monks: That one build (FoT, Sweeping Wind etctetc), and tempest rush for the uber geared.
DHs: Hungering Arrow, Ball Lightning, choice of SS or SP, vault, prep, one free slot of your choice.
Wizards: I don't really know but the whole class is a snorefest, and a nerfed snorefest at that.
I agree with you somewhat. However, I don´t want diversity. This is an illusion a lot of blizzard employees and casual gamers are hunting. I want some passives/actives that allow me to craft an unstoppable cookie-cutter build that breaks the game. Currently this is possible for all classes in D2 and for all classes in D3 except WD (imho).
Blizzard said that they were completely OK with not all abilities being awesome in late Inferno. However, in order to fullfill this dream and "break the game" one needs some basic mechanics that must come from the resource system or class defining abilities. WDs dont have such abilities.
I want a resource system that is supported by ingame affixes that scale with gear (like APoC). Maybe "Mana on Hit" or good old "Mana Leech". Or a passive that works the whole fight not only at the end of it (A weaker version of grave injustice that is not dependent on actually killing monster or having a crapton of pickupradius/totd).
Now this sounded very bitchy of me. Just to clarify: I like the game, but I feel the WD class needs some love (not just implementing long overdue pet buffs, but like reworking of the resource system). Imho, as a WD you need more gear, more apm, and more skill to achieve the same things as a Wizard or Barb. While this is in principle fine with me it doesn´t feel rewarding enough atm and sometimes you just want to bash stuff and not play your heart out in order not to wipe at an A2 pack.
Wow you made a very good point there. There should definately be a point where you get enough gear for the game to say "ok, well done for getting all that gear, now you can use these more powerful builds". I think a change to Grave Injustice is a great idea, although personally i'd like a change to Circle of Life or Fetish Army so they work on crits and have no limit on the amount of dogs/fetishes you can spawn.

Isn't this just a fairly standard rend+cleave build but with Ancient Spear added on? I mean it's a nice idea for sure but you could easily replace AS with maybe Ground Stomp+wrenching smash to pull the mobs in, or even sprint or furious charge to close the distance with mobs and be just as effective.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Sorry i dont wanna appear rude, definately Ancient Spear is a buit underused atm, and the idea of pulling enemied off ranged friends is nice.
