with the upcoming Monster Level changes the mobs will hit very hard in high MLs, so ranged classes that can kite/slow/pet tank will be better than melee classes imho.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Got 3 legendaries in one run act3 on 88. Sadly 2 were crap, but one was a decent Manticore.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The last 2 legendaries were in areas I usually do not farm. And even before the 1st one dropped I had such a feeling because it started dropping very good even before I had 5 NV stacks.
Maybe it's not always the servers that are mentioned in this post, but I'm almost sure that there are games that give better loot than others.

Wtf, 25% MF per Monster Level? So this would mean its better to equip items with more damage/survivability so you can farm in higher Monster Levels than to equip MF items?Posted in: Theorycrafting and Analysis

We need item binding. Unbound items lead to inflation, inflation leads to hate, hate leads to sufferingPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I wrote about this here
The problem with the item system is, the amount of items that are worth selling gets smaller and smaller. Today blues are not worth selling anymore since 1.0.4. And 95% (totally made up numbers) of all yellows are not worth it as well. But in the future this number will increase to 99% or even 99.9% (this is 10times less).
With the HC items everything is fine, because when HC chars die, the items leave the pool. But in SC there are more and more items that get found, resulting in normal items becoming more and more useless and therefore not worth to be sold in the AH. So if you do not get lucky and get your "one in a million" drop you have no chance of getting the "awesome" items.
The problem is not items beeing too expensive, the problem is the big difference between the "good" and the "awesome" items. The market gets flooded with tons of items so the people have access to a lot of good items. So most of the items get cheaper and cheaper because no one wants them anymore but the tip of the iceberg gets more and more expensive. Also the tip becomes smaller and smaller. Even now a Manticore is almost worthless if the dps is
Blizzard wanted to make the game as newbie friendly as they could by not making the items soulbound. But on the long term it would be a much better, if the items were bind on equip and you could not sell your old items. This would result in a much better market. Now you might think that this would make the "awesome" items evens more expensive. Yes it would. But it would also make the "good" items more expensive, so you could sell more of the items you find.

In the video you mainly used Vault (with Trail of Cinders) offensive by running towards the enemy and vaulting through it. You can also run away with Vault and have the mob follow you running through the fire. Especially for fast mobs I recommend running away with Vault.Posted in: Demon Hunter: The Dreadlands
You might want to mention a bug that has not been fixed yet and probably won't be fixed in 1.0.5 as well: If you use Sharpshooter, all skills that cost discipline and do damage benefit from Sharpshooter but do not reset it. So you can lay Caltrops with Jagged Spikes or Vault around with Trail of Cinders and have those skills crit all the time as long as you don't shoot normally or use other Hatred based spells. With the overpowered Trail of Cinders this is amazing, especially if your crit rate is low.
I have the set as well but I still use Preparation as long as Trail of Cinders is not nerfed yet. I often find myself traveling around with Vault and then lacking the discipline to use Shadow Power to survice that incoming damage.Quote from BearbarianI'm using Natalya's Wrath set, and that allows me to free up a skill slot that would be Preparation ...

Rofl, this is the same like with WoW hardmodes. Deathwing gets killed and a moment later there are threads "Hardmodes too easy?"Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Only because a handfull of very enthusiastic people did it does not mean it's easy. He used the char with the best spec out there to kill mobs very fast and gear worth several 100M of gold and did nothing besides killing mobs over and over (totally boring if you ask me). If you still think thats easy... then yeah, it is too easy.

Damage reflect works wonders at Ghom. I'm a Barb but I heard monk has dmg reflect as well (with that immunity skill or so). Get out of gas cloud, let him come and dps him. When he spawns a cloud on you, use reflect and when it runs out get out of cloud.Posted in: Monk: The Inner Sanctuary
