As for rend, I really would only need it when doing MP 2 or 3 to take those elites down faster, but then my sprint tornadoes wouldnt be enough to kill white mobs in my trail i assume, so kind of a waste... On MP 0 and 1 i kill elite packs under 10 sec already, charge -> stomp -> OP -> charge -> WW -> dead in 5 to 10 sec unless shielding

Looks good! Hmm arnt you worried missing drops going so fast?

Legendary drops make a sound and create ping on the minimap now, so it is easy to catch those. Of the yellow stuff i only pick up rings, amulets and sometimes archon gear / ilvl 63 weapons if i dont have to run back to pick em up.

If you want to kill elites faster, rend is better than OP. If you don't need the life steal (you shouldn't need it, as MP0 is so easy), I'd go with the ravage rune so you can almost always hit the entire elite pack in 1 rend.

That is actually not a bad idea, only OP is free to use and rend costs 20 fury. For my build where I dont use animosity that would be too big a dent in my fury budget, especially since the 10% crit from OP help quite a bit for those into the Fray procs...

I also do alkaizer's run on MP1, but i add tower of the cursed after crater 2, i add rakkis crossing after bridge and I add keep 3 and often even stonefort until warden, then reset.

This adds 4-6 minutes to the run and makes it less repetitive which I find a good thing while the overall xp/hr doesnt change a whole lot.

Act 1 Festering woods -> Manor -> Warden -> Butcher is decent enough if you want a change of scenery and dont mind the slightly lower xp/hr rate.

Act 2 is OKish but i only do it for key farming.

Act 4 is just crap for anything related to any kind of farming

Also I switched animosity for ruthless and it still works, you have to be more mindfull of WW and spamming sprint prematurely but im rarely out of fury

Im pretty sure standard WW build can run much faster, kill faster and not be annoyed by any vortex, jailer, frozen things on your path with WOTB. Even on a budget since it seems you want do design a fast lowl to no MP EXP farming build.

Not sure you can get that much faster with a DW spec. Plus the playstyle is very different (much more fun imho) because you have more active skills: Charge, Ground Stomp and Overpower. I tried DW sprint/ww build once and i ditched it after 2 runs because it was just plain boring. So even if it's 10% slower, its 100% more fun (for some ;-) )

Cool build but how effective is it for higher monster powers. Seems that it is only really good for lower monster power.

It still works for mid tier monster power if you pack enough defense on your gear. This is a very gear reliant spec and my mediocre gear slows me down tremendously at higher monster power. But no matter! I have a different spec for MP5+ And really for farming XP you really dont want to higher MP since there is virtually no gain in xp rate.

hey, tried this build and liking it, got to around 45mil xp/hr with this but my gear is not as good and i died twice cause I mis-timed ground stomp and my defensive stats are so shitty that i get killed quite easily.

I find your belt is not on par with your average gear, i get that you want lifeleech on it, but that makes decent belt choices very expensive, since only mighty belts can have LL. And the waist is a slot with potentially high Strength values (up to 300 afaik).
Also i wouldnt get gloves without strength unless they have high critD, critC and A.speed which yours dont.
Generally your Strength is quite low, 1600+ should be your minimum goal, also a bit more vitality (allthough now with the damage nerf to mobs it's fine) wouldnt hurt.
    All resist is fine.
Grab a better gem for your skorn, 80% or higher.

what Monster Power do you farm in?

I also use a 2h build, not quite the same, but check my Barb's profile maybe you can get some extra clues from it.

I suppose a great deal from your damage output comes from rend and revenge, maybe you could put an approximate number on that. And in that case i am confident to say that maniac will be a bigger overall boost to damage output.
In static 1v1 fights however, sidearm should be on par and maybe even be a slightly bigger boost than maniac since you will hardly use rend/revenge. But those situations should be rare and the difference little, so go with maniac.

posted a message on Increasing droprates of legendaries/set items is bad...
I find the point the OP is trying to make not valid. That legendaries will be devalued if drop rates were to be increased. It is just not valid, not in the sense that it is not true, but in the sense that it would not matter at all.

Let's have a look at rare items, only the best rolled items are worth a whole lot, and that is fine, because we find a lot of rares, so we can rely on statistical average that every so-and-so many drops something useful will emerge. So everyone would agree in this case that even very high drop rates are not a bad thing.

Now with legendaries you cannot rely on that statistical average playing itself out, unless you are one of them "insane" players racking up 100 hours of farming per month. This problem was partially countered by last patch in which the baseline of legendaries got improved to decrease variance between the poorest and the best roll of a legendary, so at least now if a legendary drops it will (usually) be decent at least.

Which leads to another problem with legendaries, certain ones are just not good - unless you roll near perfect stats - those will just not sell, they are much like a rare item with a fixed orange coloured name (and usually there are 20 AH pages filled with them for under 50k gold). And then you have those legendaries that will sell for 8 figures no matter what. The first group of legendaries will not lose value (by much) by increasing drop rates, they will mostly just sell for price of fiery brimstone anyway. The second group will have slightly declining prices, but will ultimately still be better than most rare items that they will still be worthwhile.

I want to add that I am not necessarily for increasing legendary drop rates, I just want to point out that the argument of the OP is a weak one to oppose it. And an opportune at that, as he wants to make money of the RMAH with it.

    tl;dr
legendary prices will not massively drop by increasing drop rates, only prices of really good legendaries will come down (a bit). Upside:The goodies would be shared more evenly.

I think it is safe to assume that whimsyshire has also been streamlined. So all acts will be about equally difficult and rewarding, which makes sense, because now you can tweak difficulty by setting MP differently, opposed to choosing a different act.

My guess is that Acts 1 and 3 will be most efficient because of the linearity and mob density of the two. But you will have the option to do the occasional act 2 or 4 run to spice things up, without being too far off in reward over time.

2H barb here as well (http://eu.battle.net...57/hero/1453213)

    1. I start in core of areat -> tower of the cursed only lvl1 -> tower of the damned only lvl 1 -> rakkis crossing, check for underbridge quick then clear towards bridge -> fully clear bridge of korsick -> keep depths lvl 3 -> keep depths lvl 2
    Takes me around 30 mins

    2. havent done it in since 1.0.4, my guess is around 1h20 maybe even faster. Gonna try one tonight and report.

    3. I usually only die in Bridge of Korsick due to a lot of ranged mobs and in keep depths lvl 2 to the exploding fuckers. 2-5 deaths per run usually

    4. Hard to tell total worth, maybe around 50mil?

So I did a full clear yesterday, starting with the siegebreaker quest, but leaving the Fort through the front door, thus clearing all zones. Took me 1h10 including azmodan, I died 6 times, once before siegbreaker, twice in tower of the cursed, twice in arreat crater lvl2 and once on azmodan. I was getting sleepy i guess...
