posted a message on Reply to Buff bar problem. (ITS SIMPLE BLIZZ)

The bluepost basically covered it already, there are many buffs which won't change your playing behaviour at all (like innas bonus or community buff) and there are some which either change your play drastically (ie: avoid death procc resulting in a way more defensive approach), certain temporary buffs (pooling resources and unloading during the right coe window) and boni which make or break your play. So priotizing them all is the first and most important step.

Unlimited buffs are totally useless, imho. Rather similar to unlimited healthbars and health bar numbers shown (well cutting down the numbers to "MEGA damage" digits similar to an earlier idea in WoW is a different topic - for more details see http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/3885585/dev-watercooler-the-great-item-squish-or-not-of-pandaria-11-4-2011 ). We can only grasp so many informations at once, they should help us decrease that burden.

What's with limiting the amount of emeralds you can place in your weapon-gem slot? Isn't that the real scaling issue for the whole discussion?

'zero' for no cooldown on summon zombie dog spells

5 dog for five zombie dogs present (from talents/runes/passives)

more ontopic: what's the purpose of the video? You're standing around for five minutes talking about this and that with no clear structure. If this is about multiboxing why bother with four minutes of standing around hovering over certain items? If it's about the build why mix it up with the multiboxing thing? Create two seperate videos and write down a short script before recording so you can keep the attention span of your viewers.

Outside of goldskin isn't it kind of hard to get both secondary rolls (for owe) on top of 3-4 useful mainrolls? And don't forget about goldwrap and it's added ehp, it can be insane :)

    posted a message on Number 1 Europe - 3.1m Elemental DPS Crus - T6
The quiet stream in the background was kind of confusing, outside of that it looks super stressful with your 100-0-100 hp-bar :) Threequestions come to my mind:

    1) What's the thing with wrathful, do you think that passive is still worthwhile even without any form of health globe bonus on your gear?

    2) Would you trade attack speed for more all resist, you're currently running with ~ 300 from gear which seems rather low to me. Or do you feel like you need it to get your casts off and kite (if necessary)?

    3) Do you feel comfortable running around without your templar in that setup? Or do you change most of your gear/abilities for groupplay? That's -5k lifereg, no occassional 150k heal, no option for unity for harder packs.

posted a message on How should I echant this WKL? Please help
    Quote from Lumis
Tbh I'm running a holy monk on T4 to 6, and I'm a bit lost on how to heal myself on T5 and 6 effectively. Nothing seems strong enough. I'm starting to think that either godly OWE-alignment, Sankis, double Unity or paragonlvl 600 is needed for T6 solo for a monk. At the moment I'm surviving on globes, max LoH from paragon, and what ever secondary healing I happen to have in gear (+MoH on T6).
The crux with OWE is that it's hard to get another neat secondary stat like healing globes which would help with the transcendence passive. And i'm not talking about small values, each 20k adds another 800 heal/spirit spent which adds up super quickly.

It can be easier to aim for mainly armor/all resist for primary and healing globes for secondary instead of OWE which can also free up a passive slot, allowing for more defense, utility or luxury.

And for the initial question: 140 life per spirit spent is sadly to low.

But now when I try T6 solo, it is so hard even T5 is easier then T6. Maybe it is just supose too be so?
    What have you been smoking?

If your ehp & damage is similar it must be something else, either

    • unity, it's just insanely strong for soloing
    • another follower (ie: templar actually tanking instead of enchantress)
    • set boni or legendary effects you might be missing (ie: those shrine gloves instead of magefist)
    • last but not least your choice of passives, skills & runes to complement archon

posted a message on Shield Choice Advice
Sorry but why is crit >block for a blessed shield build?

300-someting percent weapondamage plus 200-something percent of your shield's block chance (note: not total block chance or increased block chance from skills, talents, runes, etc) combined is your base damage that will be multiplied with crit chance, crit damage, skill damage modifer and so on. But 11% block also adds some survivability, if you're deeply into blessed shield (ie: taunt + blind + champion + any law) there's not much else you want to hit anyway. What am i missing if anything?

You craft those pieces over and over again until there's only one stat you'd want to reroll instead of several. It's a bit tedious but allows for fairly quick gearing. Yes, your legendariesmight not mix well with that but just having 3-4 set pieces fitting together already add a TON of survivability thanks to OWE.

posted a message on All Res? What is the cap?
I just wanted to chime in and say that there actually is a cap to resistance and it's 1300 - it's the amount of all resistance you can get from gear alone and would require you a special legendary weapon (emp. messenger or wizardspike) and a shield instead of a source.

    • plus up to 250 all resistance from paragon points (5 times 50)
    • plus any intellect (divided by ten) you can get, 10.000 intellect would add another 1.000 all resistance
    • plus buffs (20% monk mantra, 20% warrior cry, 25% prismatic armor, 20% unwavering will, 20% archon)
Outside of that it's rather difficult to tell when you're capable of surviving Torment X from just one stat or even the sum of all your relevant stats (that's what Blizzard labeld 'Toughness' recently). There are so many other factors involved like your playstyle (melee wizard or firing from behind the lines?) overcertain gear choices (You're only dying to stuff on the ground? Then maybe Blockthornes is a choice for you... or laserbeams are your Nemesis? There's an amulet for that), your group composition (Taunting crusader having your back? Barb stunning everything? Monk pulling all mobs together? WDs zoo eating all the arrows pointed at you?) and last but not least your specc (there a quite a few runes/spells helping you surviving on your own just fine).

posted a message on Fire Monk questions - Any advice would be helpful.
    - I was under the impression that exploding palm is mainly (only?) interesting due to it's unlimited scaling power with group size, torment difficulty or enemy hitpoints in general. Sadly with the fire rune itonly looks like a stronger barbarian' rend.
    - For passives: exalted soul seems like a nobrainer to me in a heavy spirit spender build, especially with the lack of 2p innas it currently takes 50% of your maximum spirit to get sweeping wind running after all or spread your EP, leaving you close to zero spirit to get your LTK in there.
    - For groupplay or higher torments i'd swap the damaging mantra to either transgression (attackspeed) or replace it completly depending on your setup and needs.
    - Epiphany is mainly interesting if you have enough cooldown reduction via skills, setboni etc to supplement it (50% ish uptime would be desireable).
    - I'd swap the grandeur ring out for unity in solo play, cheesing the 50% damage reduce via your follower. With your current setup of mostly legendaries that would be a huge plus on the defensive gains side.

posted a message on 100% NG Globe Uptime Spec Worth It?
I really like my permanent 3 stack build (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/crusader#aSilQf!ahVX!aZZbbc ) with a focus on fire (Cindercoat, ho!), but i lack in clearing speed of white mobs so i really need the +30s passive to keep it up. I don't think that those bracers in addition to a blocked active slot a really worth it, maybe just as a replacement for provoke. The added length to law passive is overkill, you'll need one or the other.

If you're using the bracers anyhow i'd toy around with shield glare but leave the rest alone for now and see how it feels.

posted a message on Ready for T1 Rifts?
Gear looks fine but i'd farm t1 bounties some more until you got the resources to enchant the worst pieces. This way you can easily double your toughness.

And i'd reconsider some passives, divine fortress with a decent shield adds about 2 million toughness for me. Look out for a 18%+ baseline block shield with maximum block amount and enchant it with +10% block (preferable on top of resist, strength and crit chance).

Private (solo) rifts might be easier due to the amount of healing your follower can provide if you're only after playing with another person. It get better with 3-4 people of course and the added crowd control, buffs and burst cooldowns they can provide.

Storm shield seems fine, but wall of man and coven's criterion are strong contenders due to their unique secondary stats.
